Hi Mike and Patti…My best to Mike…hope he is doing well after surgery. Well! Our vacation in your beautiful condo, was so perfect. Clean and fresh, delightful views and so very comfortable. Bart and I couldn’t have asked for more. We retired early, got up very early (best time of day), and enjoyed the lanai especially. We spent most of our days, exploring Kauai, shopping, eating, and kind of laying around. Indeed, it is paradise. The wedding was gorgeous, of course, on a little beach near Princeville. Reception was at the Hukilau Lanai in Kapaa. Also, very nice. The bride’s family arranged a Luau on Poipu beach the next day with a real roasted hog…very big. I was intrigued with the whole operation of the pig. It was like a ceremony. Bart and I went to the Canyon twice as we missed the very upper lookout the first time. Also, we took the sunset catamaran cruise along Na Pali coast…Wow! It was a dinner cruise and very good. We even saw Dolphins. The day after the wedding our other grandchild received an engagement ring under one of the falls in a cave. Very romantic and everyone is thrilled. So you can see it was a momentous trip in every way, and we thank you once again for the use of your Condo. Everyone wants to go back…I’m game. Take care. Patricia

Nice Owners and Location but Condo Cleanliness and Amenities Need Improvement

My family and I stayed in this condo in June for 10 days. While Patty was very nice and great to deal with initially, the condo was definitely not as I had expected. When we arrived the condo was in need of a good cleaning. There was dirt, hair and dust in all the rooms. The floors in the bathrooms were not clean, particularly around the toilets. I had to call Patty's cleaning service and have them clean the condo before we could unpack. Additionally the amenities were in poor condition. All the towels had holes and were very worn. The beach umbrella was broke, the beach chairs had holes and were unuseable and the boogie boards were also broke. We ended up buying buckets and boogie boards to use and we left them at the condo. A lot of the items in the fridge were past dated and should have been thrown out. Several cooking items had food particles on them and we had to wash everything before we used it. While I understand that these items are the responsibility of the cleaning agent the owners have hired, I did not receive any communication from Patty upon our return after attempting to contact her multiple times to discuss. I believe she needs to understand that things are not being managed as she would expect. I have rented through VRBO multiple times and this is the worst experience I have had. I would not recommend this property to a friend due to the lack of communication on the part of the owner upon our return and the condition of the property upon our arrival. On a positive note, the grounds were lovely, the condo is in a great location if you don't need an ocean view and the pool area is great, especially for kids.

To clarify, I did communicate with my crew while you were on the island and we addressed your concerns immediately while you were there on the property. Unfortunately, the timing of your only call to me following your trip home coincided with Mike's diagnosis of cancer. I apologize if you feel your concerns went ignored once you returned home, but rest assured it was not intentional and I have since addressed your comments with my crew. We have received nothing but the highest ratings (both privately and on this site) by all others who have stayed with us. We have had numerous repeat guests and we always strive to make our guests happy at all costs. We provided all we could given I did not personally hear from you until after you returned home. As a side note to all our past and future guests... Mike successfully underwent surgery this past Friday and his prognosis is positive. Aloha and Mahalo.

My husband and I stayed in this condo for 16 wonderful days.It provided everything we could possibly need. The condo is almost new and perfectly maintained. The location while not oceanview is in a beautiful location and close to stores, shopping, and restaurants. All the furnishings are top quality and the beds are so comfortable. It was nice to have the poolside grill which we used almost every night. The front screen door was nice to have to have cool breezes flow through the condo. The garage was completely furnished with everything for the beach (coolers, chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, etc.) It made for a fun relaxing day at the beach. Thank you for your great accommodations. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful Condo in Paradise

We just returned from our second stay at Patti and Mikes condo and it was still as fantastic as our stay last year. The place is very clean and beautifully decorated. After a full day at the beach, it was great to come back to the condo and relax while listening to a Hawaiian music CD or reading (CDs and a variety of books were available for our use!) The location of the condo is great with the grill and pool area just a few steps from the Lanai. There are some great restaurants within a 5 or 10 minute drive; Tahiti Nui has always been our favorite place. Great food and great Mai Tai's! Patti and Mike have worked hard to think of everything that one would want while on vacation and they have done a great job providing everything. We will definitely continue to stay at this condo next time we go to paradise!

This place was amazing! It was spotless, comfortable, and in a great location. We loved being so close to the BBQ! I loved running along the golf course in the morning, and how close we were to Hideaway beach! It was perfect for us, lots of room for us and another couple. We loved the boogie boards!

After the worst travel day we had ever experienced on our departure day, we were glad to finally arrive. We fley ATA airlines out of Oakland early Monday morning. About an hour into our flight, the pilot got onto the intercom and anounced that they were having some mechanical issues and that we would have to turn around and go back to Oakland. That was not the best news to hear. After keeping us all waiting for an additional 3 hours , they finally boarded us onto another plan just short of the 4 hour cut off (for mandatory compensation). We still sat for another 40 min. till we finally got on our way. Arriving in Honolulu, we were then told that all of our Hawaiian airline flights were totally booked to Kauai. Since I booked on Priceline, ATA said it wasn't their responsibility to get us to Kauai, only to HNL. Nice huh.... So, we had to book new tickets on Aloha to get us there. Long story short, once we finally got our rental car and got to the condo we were all in ahhhh once we opened the door and saw the whole layout of the beautiful condo. I can see what you mean now Patti about the location of your unit being so wonderful. The view from the living area was so peaceful looking onto the garden/pool area. Our time relaxing with the door and windows open enjoying the breeze was great! We both felt that your place was a true "Gem" from the top of the line furnishings, the ever so comfortable beds to the well stocked "everything". We had two other groups of family members staying in the same complex and both of us knew that our place was the best! I think we also lucked out since there was no one upstairs staying at the time of our stay. We were amazed of how quiet it was there at the complex. I was surprised since it was Spring break I thought it would be full. Thank you again for allowing us the wonderful visit and we truly hope to one day be fortunate enough to visit your beautiful place again and the beautiful island! If you are reading this comment, you are lucky to have found a true "Gem"! My husband, 13 yr. old son and I have just returned from a short 4 night stay at this beautiful condo. Upon entering this place, our reaction was "Wow!" Totally worth the long exhausting travel to arrive at this "Paradise". If you want a beautiful relaxing place, this is the one for you. Two other family members stayed at other condo's at the Plantations , and we both agreed that this location (up high, right by the pool) had the best relaxing view. The garden area was beautiful to look out onto. We also noticed that not all condo's had front screen doors. With our front door open and the three screen doors that open up to the garden view open, it was paradise sitting enjoying the wonderful tropical breeze. Patti and Mike spared no expense on furnishing their place with the top of the line "everything", as we could easily tell. Both beds were better than any "Heavenly Bed" at the top hotels. FoodLand grocery is right at the entrance to the main drive just 5 min away. Don't hesitate on this one! You won't be sorry...only sorry if you don't! :-) Thank you Patti and Mike. My friends and I had a wonderful stay at this condo! We loved it so much that we half-jokingly thought about buying one for ourselves. The condo was very nicely furnished; the kitchen was well-stocked and Mike and Patti provided every amenity we could possibly want including plenty of beach towels, beach chairs and boogie boards. It's also in a great location. I'll definitely try to stay here again next time I go to Kauai!
