Year Purchased: 2007
When looking for a second home, we looked all over the East Valley, including Scottsdale, Carefree and Cave Creek, before falling in love with the Carefree area. It is a bit cooler in the summer (5-10 degrees cooler) than in Phoenix and feels very small-townish and private compared to the rest of the metro area. There are very few condos in town - most everything is large, expensive, single-family homes, which makes for a very private feel to the area.
Why the Owner Chose Carefree
Carefree is the best location in all of the Phoenix Metro area! It is close enough to shopping, restaurants and unique attractions, but far enough away to be very secluded as well! Carefree has all of the charm of a very upscale small town, but right next door to Carefree is the town of Cave Creek with it's charm of being a small cowboy town right out of the movies!
The Unique Benefits of this Townhome
Horseback riding, golfing, hiking, exploring the shops and restaurants of Carefree and Cave Creek. Watching the live bull-riding cowboys at The Buffalo Chip in Cave Creek, attending the weekly Farmer's Market in Carefree. Going to eat at 5-star Binkley's one night and having a burger at Big Earl's Greasy Eats the next! Going to the numerous art festivals, listening to live music at The Cave Creek Coffee Company. Relaxing in the pool or spa surrounded by palm trees at our place!!!
