Gorgeous Apartment in the Heart of Firenze,Wireless,Ac,Design
Year Purchased: 2006
Why the Owner Chose Santa Croce
We have a lot of friends in Firenze and also we spent many times in the town to visit art exibitions,to join operas,or only to walk along the narrow streets of the center of the town. Our work is linked to tourism,so we decided to buy an apartment in that area that we think to be the most interesting in the town. One of the few traditional quarters of Firenze that seem to be the same in the years.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment
Silvia gave the apartment the spirit of the traditional florentine and tuscan houses, even if You'll find in the apartment all the conforts You need to spend relaxing days in Firenze
Just in front of our apartment, the best cioccolateria in Italy in the year 2008
Owner's Map of Santa Croce
We Silvia e Marino, love very much our region,Tuscany, and even if we live on the tyrrenian coast, along the famous tuscan beaches,in countryside,we often go to visit the artistic towns of our land, and Firenze is,in our opinion, the most fascinating.

We are very happy to review this apartment because sometimes the pictures are more beautiful than the apartments,in this case the flat is really as You can imagine by seeing the photos! Or nicer.. It's very comfortable, also for 3 people, and the internet wifi is really very fast. When You enter the apartment You feel immediately with it,and we were very sad to leave it the last day, also because Florence is unforgettable. In the apartment everything worked well, there was also an american coffee machine.I thinf if we'll come again in Florence I'll return to this apartment. Thanks to the owner Silvia for the courtesy and the precious advices on restaurants and shops in the neighborhood. Very clean!

I and my wife decided to spend few days in Florence (we live in Roma) and we found this lovely apartment in the Macci street, near the Cibreo and Teatro del Sale,a very famous place in Italy, where we spent 2 nights, they have a restaurant and a theatre! The apartment is perfect, the kitchen has got all the appliance, even if we never used it because of the plenty of famous restaurant and trattorie nearby - Thank You to VRBO!! Davide Bertomioli

We were very warmly greeted. The apartment was exactly or better than was communicated in email exchanges. The owners were extremely kind, warm, and helpful. We had a wonderful time at the Macci Apartment. It is an impeccably well-restored mansion,it was perfect, and extremely comfortable. The hostess allowed us to store our luggage while we visited museums. Was very helpful. She also allowed us a late check out because of illness. Mention that it is an impeccable, new rennovation of a old house. The owners have a great attention to detail and a particular tuscan taste. A gem in Florence. We would go to Florence just to stay here. The location is perfect for those who want beauty and quiet away from the main touristy areas but within walking distance of Florence's actractions,no more than 5 minutes to the most beautiful Church in Florence,Santa Croce,or the popular market of Sant'Ambrogio, where every morning we were shuffled to the real Florentines..

Marino and Silvia's apartment is great. It was comfortable, cute, spacious and in a perfect location where Florentines actually live. I loved walking around the neighborhood and going to the local market, grocery stores, wine bars, and restaurants - the famous Cibreo is right there, and Piazza Sant'Ambrogio is really fun!! The neighborhood market is better than the Mercato Centrale. You can walk anywhere in central Florence (Santa Croce 5 min; Duomo, Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio 10 min; Oltrarno 15 min, train station 20-25 min), and as a single woman, I felt completely safe walking around at any time. Everything in the apartment is nice and new with modern decor. There is a full kitchen with new appliances, a nice bathroom with a great shower, and a washer/dryer, TV, DVD, and wireless router. I was there in July at Florence's hottest, and at first the apartment was pretty warm, until I learned that I didn't have to skimp on the air conditioning. It was relatively inexpensive to run and totally worth it. The apartment is perfect for 1 person or a couple, but it can sleep 3-4 - there is a double bed in the loft upstairs and the sofa pulls out to a double bed as well. Finally, the owners were completely reliable, prompt, punctual, helpful, and easy to communicate with. The apartment was clean and looks just like the pictures. I would highly recommend this property! Grazie, Marino e Silvia!

The apartment was spacious and full of light. The high ceilings and use of space were ideal for optimizing the flat. We stayed two weeks and had a wonderful time. Being high above the street, there is not much noise (unless they are doing construction on the road which happened for part of our stay). There is a fabulous market up the street where you can get nearly everything you need - and a large grocery a little further. It took about 10 minutes to walk to the Duomo but was really nice living in a residential area rather than in the touristy area. The internet was fast & reliable. The kitchen was well-stocked. The water pressure was good and there was plenty of hot water. The bed was very comfortable; however, for some, it may be hard to get up as the bed is low on the floor. There is a very spacious closet upstairs. The shutters on the windows allow you to block out the sunshine quite well. We loved it. And will definitely stay again.
