The cabin and private dock-house are located on a private canal that connects directly to the Ashepoo river and Chessie Creek. A public boat landing less than a mile away makes it easy explore the largest river confluence basin in North America and the Longest blackwater river system in the Northern hemisphere. Launch once for your vacation and keep your boat at the dock-house. Wildlife and fish are ABUNDANT! The cabin comes complete with canoe.

Ten minutes from Downtown Walterboro and the South Carolina Artisan Center the Official Folk Art and Craft Center for South Carolina. Walterboro also boasts an historic shopping district with restaurants, shops and more than a dozen antique stores. Just 45 minutes to Historic Charleston, 40 minutes to Beaufort and an hour to Savannah Georgia make them easy day trip destinations.

Just relax in the cabin and read a book, cook in the fully appointed kitchen, take a trip down the river, or explore the South Carolina Lowcountry.

  • Waterfront, not Lake/Oceanfront. Ask for details: This house is the sits at the end of a semi-private canal. At high tide the canal is 11' deep and at extreme low tide 6 feet deep. It is a 2 mi boatride to the Ashepoo river. Fish, shrimp & blue crabs are abundant. 2 Canoes & fishing tackle are included with the rental.

  • We spent this past weekend there and had a great time. This is a perfect place for a boater/fisherman of any type. We were in kayaks and floated to Hwy 17 and back. Caught a bunch of fish. The house is perfect and has everything you need. We will be back!!

  • We stayed here for a week and coudn't have a better time - the most relaxing we have been in a long time - the kids had fun - caught some crabs, saw a rainbow - no fish though...dang it! We will definatly be back! Thanks for sharing your home with us -

Can't say enough positive things about my stay, can't wait to visit again!! Great kayaking, all stores in Walterboro easy drive, best of both worlds!!
