I have recently stayed with my 16 year old son in this apartment and we had a superb time. The apartment is close to all amenities; the Vatican is less than 10 minutes walk; the metro (underground) is 2 minutes away. Great location for sightseeing and for shopping; plenty of good local restaurants if in the evening you want to eat locally. The apartment was spacious, the rooms very clean and comfortable; it was great to have a sitting room, a separate study with a laptop and free wifi. The building is charming and has a Roman historical feel to it. I certainly recommend this apartment.

This is the best apartment I've ever rented over 20 visits to Rome. The apartment is beautiful and full of light. Further everything works and it is so well equipped. Plenty of towels, sharp knives, comfortable pillows, great windows and shutters for controlling light for sleeping. In short a place you can be comfortable. It's is about 2 or 3 minutes walk to the Ottaviano metro stop, which gets one to many major sights with ease. The owner responsed to all questions almost immediately. It is a residential area where real people live, and not in a really atmospheric old area of Rome. I did not find tons of restaurants I liked.

We just returned from two weeks in Italy and one of the highlights of our vacation was this apartment. This apartment was clean, roomy, comfortable and convenient. It was all the things said on the description. We didn't even mind the 89 steps to the flat. The 3 block walk to the Vatican City was great and being a block away from the Metro/subway made Rome easy to get around to. Flavio was excellent to deal with. He was very honest, straight forward and responsive. He was also extremely fast at returning our damage deposit. If you do not mind the walking up the steps then I would recommend this appartment without hesitation. Pauline from Canada

We just returned from our 4 night stay in this apartment in Rome. The apartment was very spacious for our family of 3. It is well maintained and very clean. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need including a dishwasher and washing machine. The owner, Flavia, was very pleasant to deal with and always responded to our e-mails in a timely fashion. The instructions that Flavia left were perfect and her suggestions were extremely helpful. We have never slept so soundly as we did in the "pink" room. That bed was soooo comfortable. The air-conditioning worked beautifully and was used every night as it was 38 degrees while we were there. The apartment is a short walk to the Vatican and 2 blocks from the metro station. There are restaurants everywhere as well as grocery stores/markets. We would highly recommend this apartment and would stay here again given the opportunity. Thank you Flavia!!!!!!!

What a wonderful place to stay! My husband and I (live in the States) met our friends in Rome who traveled from Ireland. Not knowing what to expect from our accommodations, we were all pleasantly surprised - actually, Flavia's apartment exceeded our expectations of a clean, comfortable, nicely appointed place to stay. The apartment was larger than expected and had all the amenities of home. The location is perfect for hopping the metro and the Vatican is a short walk away. Plenty of good restaurants, especially Il Colibri, a father/son owned restaurant. Delicious! We thank Flavia for accommodating our needs and being such a wonderful host. When we return to Italy, we will choose Flavia's place to stay!

We just returned from a 4-night stay at this apartment in Rome. We had a great time. The apartment was perfect for our family of 4 (kids ages are 10 and 7). It's very clean, comfortable, bright, airy and well-equipped (sofabed, wi-fi, dishwasher, washing machine, fan, a/c, separate study with desk, etc.). It's not a huge apartment but it's not small either -- I'd guess about 1100 square feet. Everything (appliances, furniture, linens, etc.) looks to be of good quality and well maintained. Our kids in particular liked the beds and the American TV shows that were available. It isn't really walking distance to the Colosseum and that part of the old city, but it's a short walk to the Vatican and a medium walk to the Borghese Gardens. The apartment is also only 1 block from the subway, and an easy subway ride to the Colosseum/Forum part of the city and the train station. There are quite a few restaurants/markets near the apartment and the neighborhood feels residential (especially as you walk a block or two north -- ie away from the Vatican) and very safe. The owner (Flavia) was terrific to deal with. She left detailed instructions on everything (e.g. how to use the appliances and the TV) as well as recommendations for restaurants, markets, etc. We went to a couple of the nearby restaurants she recommended and they were excellent. She was also very responsive via email. The apartment is also well stocked with towels as well as incidentals such as toilet paper and detergent. Just a few caveats: (i) it's a solid 4.5 flights of stairs (not 3 flights as might be the case for a 4th floor apartment in the USA); (ii) the apartment has a nice washing machine, but no dryer (as I understand it, these are pretty rare in most of Europe), although there is a clothesline outside the kitchen window which we used very effectively; and (iii) the bathrooms are nicely appointed, but each of them has a shower -- ie no bathtub. I point these out just as FYI for fellow travelers -- they are not complaints. We would definitely stay at this apartment again, and we will recommend it to all friends/family visiting Rome. Enjoy!

The pictures do not do the apartment justice! It is large, has a great kitchen, and super bathrooms. We cooked breakfast and prepared dinner several times during our stay. It is well located - easy to get to the Metro stop, many great restaurants and shops within an easy walk, too. The furnishings are great - felt just like "coming home" when we got back each night. Super place!

My cousin and I stayed 6 days at this apartment and LOVED it. It's very spacious and airy. The instructions to use the various appliances are written in English and very easy to follow. It's close to a Metro station and lots of small markets. It's quiet and clean. There are lists of places to eat and even a taxi service that has people who speak English. The owner thought of everything! We plan on returning to Rome in a couple of years and want to stay here again.

My wife and I had planned to meet our daughter and her husband in Rome as partt of their one year trip around the world, and as they had been staying in hostels for most of their time in Europe, we decided that a nice apartment with its own living room and kitchen would be a nice change. The apartment was everything we wanted, and more. The location was excellent, as it was within walking distance of several Rome landmarks, and also the metro system for getting anywhere else you nneded to get to. The apartment is beautifully furnished, the beds are very comfortable, and the kitchen is completely stocked for whatever you want to try and cook up. Flavia also left us with great instructions on grocery stores to use, which restaurants were goodand lots of other pieces of information that made our stay in Rome, a memorable experience. If you are looking to stay in a beautiful Roman apartment, then this is the place. I would recommend this place to anyone....without any doubts, as this place met, in fact exceeded our expectations. Flavia is also a very easy person to deal with, and promptly responds to any questions you may have... Flavia, thankyou again for all your help in accomodating our trip to Roma.... Ciao.... '

This is a wonderful apartment in Rome, walking distance to the Vatican, and just a short tube ride away to other tourist destinations. The apartment is well equiped with lots of space for 4, lovely newly fitted kitchen and bathrooms and even a dishwasher. Flavia is a wonderful good communicator and left axact details of how to get to the apartment and entry details. Plenty of quality restaurants nearby and wonderful people. You wont be dissapointed,

I stayed in this flat for 8 months, starting in the fall of 2008. The flat is a "perfect 10". It is comfortable, well-situated in the city and located in the wonderful neighborhood of Prati. The flat is bright and spacious with a modern kitchen, two modern bathrooms, wifi and Sky TV. The building is clean, quiet and safe. The walk from the flat to the heart of rome is lined with landmarks such as St. Peter's Square and Castel S. Angelo. The metro, bus and taxi stops are within a few blocks of the flat. Finally, the neighborhood surrounding the flat is quaint, offering bakeries, cafes, restaurants, boutiques and one of rome's largest "outdoor" markets, the Trionfale Market. I look forward to returning to the flat in the years to come-- the landlord is a gracious and responsive person.

we just completed a four week stay at this great apartment. it has an excellent location close to the A-line at Ottaviano Metro station. An easy walk to the Vatican Museo, St. Peter's etc. Bus 32 and 271 are at the door and others are on the Milizie Rd. across the street. Large living room with comfortable furniture. Well equipped kitchen- even has a dishwasher. Excellent satellite TV with many channels in various languages - rare in Rome. Big bedrooms with comfortable beds with duvets and lots of storage. Great showers. We loved the Andrea Doria market just a couple of blocks away and we did most of our food shopping there. There is also a lovely bakery just a few doors away - hidden under a small awning and down some stairs. Makes exploring the neighbourhood fun. An excellent, clean, well appointed apt. and great location. we would go again. The owner Flavia Baldinetti is always available, responsive, helpful and courteous.

Wow! This flat is absolutely stunning, what an amazing find. It's beautifully decorated, stylish, comfortable, and with everything you could possibly need to feel at home. The location is great, especially for the Vatican & St Peter's, and there are good metro and bus links to get you everywhere else you may want to visit. We hope to return some time in the future.

DEFINITELY A *****-FIVE STAR I highly recommend this fantastic flat for your stay in Rome. It is very clean, beautifully decorated - with a warm and welcoming ambiance in every room.We found it to be a perfect location for sightseeing for a week as well as a longer stay. The flat is a short walk (3 blocks )to the Vatican museum, 1 block to the metro, convienent to great restaurants and in a delightful local neighborhood shopping area with wonderful cafes. The owners of this flat have thought of absolutely everything!!! (including a telephone number of a taxi company that speaks English in Rome!)The kitchen is well stocked with all of the necessary accoutrements and kitchenware. The neighbors and attendent in the foyer were friendly and helpful. The owner was very friendly, efficient and thorough in providing all of the necessary information prior to our stay.Clear and simple written directions(in English) were given on how to operate the appliances etc, which were most appreciated!!! You will feel the beauty, elegance and warmth in Roman hospitality in this awesome apartment.

This is one of the best vacation rentals in which we've ever stayed. We've stayed in many -- in Italy, Paris, US, Greece, and Mexico. While the quality of each vacation rental has varied enormously, this rental in my mind scores "10" in each category: decor, space, cleanliness, quality of kitchenware, towels, bedding, etc., comfortable sofa and chairs, location, neighborhood, access to high-speed Internet, and lastly and most importantly -- the responsiveness of Flavia, the owner. When we had a question or problem, she responded to us almost right away, which made our stay so much more comfortable. I can't recommend this rental highly enough.
