This is a beautiful house located in a quiet, picturesque setting surrounded by woodland and open fields. The house itself is immaculate and extremely well maintained. It is equipped with everything you could possibly need for any length of stay. We have loved our 27 days staying at this great home away from home. We will certainly be returning.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

We spent a long weekend at this lovely home with our toddler and preschooler and two dogs. It was a total pleasure. The house was impeccably clean and modern. The kitchen was a chef's dream, with new appliances and lots of great cooking tools. Beds and furniture were very comfortable and the back deck was paradise. Once we put the gate at the stairs (main part of the house is on the second floor) we could let the kids play without worry. There is a fire ring outside perfect for a fire and s'more making. The river is pretty but it was inaccessible with little kids. The Pizza Stone was great for take out and nearby Chester is very cute. We drove over to Echo Lake to swim at the beach and there is a great playground in Ludlow behind the tank on Main Street. You can't go wrong with this house: clean, modern, comfortable, and in a great location.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

I have stayed in this wonderful home twice now over the past two years. Both times in dealing with Dan he was extremely professional and polite. Me and my family have stay both in the summer and in the winter season. There were endless activities to do in both. Chester is an extremely convenient location with much to do. During the summer we enjoyed the great town community center 10 minutes away where me and the kids enjoyed tennis and a swim. This past January we went skiing at Okemo which is a short drive away! The only thing was the home is so wonderful we never wanted to leave it! They have thought of everything needed for your stay. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a home away from home. I will definitely be coming back soon!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Stayed in the house in June for a wedding a exit or two away. Dan told us how to get there and how long it would take. House is very comfortable and the way the 2nd floor is the living area is just great for hanging around if you had more than one family meeting up there. Kids love the view from the deck and the adventure hike to the river (Hint use the hand ropes tied to the trees.). The house I think is in a central area so you are not to far from anything. We can't wait to go back and check out the 3 other seasons. This was our first time renting through HomeAway and we were very satisfied with the results. Thanks Again Dan.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

Our family stayed three days at this wonderful home. This house is spacious and comfortable. Dan was wonderful to deal with and the accomodations were great! We found everything we needed and more waiting for us when we arrived! Dan was very helpful and responded to emails very quickly each time we contacted him for information. I hope to return again for another family vacation! Okemo area is a beautiful place and offers many things for families to do. You can't go wrong with this home or this area! Go and enjoy!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

We flew across country to a home that we were hopeful would be adequate for five days together as a family. This wonderful home more than met our expectations. We have rented many homes previously and this was the cleanest, most well-equipped, most orderly home we have had the opportunity to use. The owner was so helpful, not only with the home, but with places to see in the area and just a great guy to work with. If you are looking for a home in the country (about 3 miles to town) with privacy, a creek, a covered bridge a mile down the lane, then this is it! Dar from Grants Pass, Oregon.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

We needed to get away and re-charge and we truly hit the jackpot! What a beautiful, comfy home with all the creature comforts you could hope for, surrounded by the gorgeous countryside of Vermont. We love nature, golfing, fishing and hiking and got our fill during the 11 days we spent in this heavenly place. We were out all day exploring the southern part of Vermont and there is still plenty to see and do, so we'll have to come back - we'd love to experience the sights of fall! If you have questions about the area, the owner is more than helpful to get you answers, and once you arrive, you'll find a table with all kinds of information on the area, what to do and see, where to eat, shop etc..So whatever you feel like doing, you'll be able to do it and then some. This is the place to forget the daily grind and reconnect with yourself, with family, friends and nature! Try it - we are sure you won't be disappointed!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

My husband and I have been visiting Vermont for the past 8 years on vacation to visit family. We have stayed in the local hotel chains until last year when we discovered this wonderful home. The owners have made this into a truely wonderful place to stay when we visit family in Vermont. This home is very clean and well maintained, thoughtfully furnished with comfortable beds, plenty of seating in the living and dining areas, washer and dryer. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you could possibly imagine needing to prepare a meal for a couple or a crowd. I have prepared meals for 10-12 and never once needed something that this kitchen did not have. The view of the river is beautiful off of the back deck and if you look in the morning you are bound to see a rabbit, deer or wild turkey. This is the best house we have ever stayed at in our travels. When we plan our yearly trip to Vermont we do not bother looking for another place to stay. Our experience at this home has been so positive we will continue to stay here for years to come.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
