Ideal for Golf vacations in Spring, Summer, and Fall and Ski vacations in Winter. Luxurious, rustic 5 Bedroom, newly constructed townhome located on the Rio Grande Championship Golf Course and Rio Grande River. Our unit is an "end" unit in Building 6 with a clear view of the Rio Grande Golf Course, river, and mountains. Don't worry about getting through the pass coming from Pagosa! Quick 15 minute drive to and from Wolf Creek!!
This unit (6D) has 5 bedrooms. The master bedroom (king) is located on the 1st floor off the living room. 2nd floor has 4 bedrooms. (1)King, (1) Queen, (3) double and (1) twin. All bedrooms have big closets. The unit sleeps 13 in beds and 15 with the pullout Queen sleeper sofa. A second unit is connected to this one and can be rented together for larger parties or groups. That unit (6C)is a 4 bedroom with (1) King, (1) Queen, (3) Doubles & (1) twin. It sleeps 11 and 13 with the pullout Queen sofa bed. Together the units sleep 24 in beds and 28 with the pullout sofa beds.
Master Bedroom: 1st floor master with King Bed and Pottery Barn Linens, cathedral pine ceiling, master bath with his and hers sinks, shower and jacuzzi tub. View to the right is of the Rio Grande River, fairway #3 of the golf course and the mountains. There is a private deck off the sliding doors and the view straight ahead is of hole #9, also river and mountains.
2nd Bedroom: King Bed facing hole #9. Balcony off bedroom for walkout views.
3rd Bedroom: 2 Full beds. Balcony off bedroom for walkout views.
4th Bedroom: Queen bed, views up valley and of the Rio Grande River

The unit is fully equipped with all you need for families and large groups. The dining table seats 10 comfortably with extra seating at the island. The large kitchen has granite countertops and lots of working space. Turn on the gas fireplace in the winter and enjoy the view of the golfcourse, river and mountains!

Why the Owner Chose South Fork
We love Colorado and this area is a gem. It's quiet and a great golf spot in the summer. The golf course is amazingly beautiful with different challenges and landscape at every hole; like none we've ever played before. The area is absolutely beautiful and quiet. Skiing for the entire family is so affordable and they really do get the most snow in all of Colorado. The abundant powder if unbelievable. And I didn't mention lift lines....they are non existant at Wolf Creek Ski area. Lift tickets are 1/2 the price of other ski areas in Colorado. $54 adult, $29 12 yrs and under
The Unique Benefits of this Townhome
Golf, Golf, Golf, Fishing, Skiing, Snowmobiling and hiking are just some of the things we love to do here. I was taken away on our first stay after the units were finished at how amazing the golf course was. The front nine is in the valley and you are playing right next to the river, waving to the fly fisherman as you pass over the bridge. Teeing off over the Rio Grande river is a thrill, especially when your son hits it over the bustling river and right onto the green. The back nine is hilly, challenging and breathtaking. When you get #18 you are so high on the mountain teeing off into the blue sky down to the fairway. Anyone who does not golf, should go along just for the ride! Our unit(s)are very large and comfortable for our family. We come out and use both units for our entire family & cousins (we have 32 in our extended family). We love the the sound of the river in the distance, the beauty of the area. The fly fishing is great and we sometimes take a guide out from the Rio Grande Club. We love to golf and fly fish in the summer and ski/snowboard and snowmobile in the winter. Snowmobiling is a favorite in the back country. We are ready to try out the back country snowcat tour next! In the summer, our kids ride ATV's and love to golf with us and swim at the pool. At night in the summers we drive through the area and see the wildlife. We saw a huge buck with a big rack last summer. We have a very hard time going back to Chicago after our visits. We still have lots to do and see there. The drive to Wolf Creek is an easy 15 minutes and if there's snow, no worries of traveling the Wolf Creek Pass like you have if you are staying in Pagosa Springs. The drive to South Fork is way less treacherous!

Perfect base for skiing Wolf Creek

We stayed the last week of March 2011. The townhome was extremely comfortable as well sparkling clean. The property was really quiet and you could see thousands of stars. Beds were comfy and the kitchen was well appointed. There is a property manager on site that can coordinate discount lift tickets as well as special back county outings. We skied all day and in the evenings the kids enjoyed skipping stones on the Rio Grande before dinner. South Fork served as a perfect base for skiing Wolf Creek. Wolf Creek was 20 minutes away and an easy drive. The ski area was amazing. Lots of snow, no lines and low, low, low prices on lift tickets, ski school and concessions. Runs served our needs as they appeal from the timid to extreme skiiers in our group. It also just might have the friendliest employees, ever.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children.
