  Excellent apartment in what must be the best location and views to match in Lisbon! From the moment I enquired about renting the apartment, Paulo (the owner) responded to emails very quickly and was keen to answer any queries I had. His website is very professional and accurately portrays the apartment's layout and location. The "meet and greet" arrangements worked perfectly and we were given a comprehensive tour of the property. Any questions were handled very well during the hand over and we were left with a tourist map and various suggestions of eateries, trips etc. The owner had thoughtfully provided some tea,coffee and biscuits and there was even a bottle of wine chilling nicely in the fridge! The apartment was very clean and fully equipped albeit we ate out most of the time with plenty of restaurants nearby. There is also a well stocked supermarket 10 mins walk away if you wish to self cater. The lounge/dining area was light and airy with 4 patio doors/windows which opened up to provide superb views of the Castle, Se Cathedral and the river and it was nice to have a G&T soaking up the sounds of the accordion player, Fado singer and bustle of the street below. At night the views were sublime with the main sights lit up. Once the windows and shutters were closed it was quiet for sleeping.There is air con in all the rooms if you need it. It's central location in a chic and up and coming area of Lisbon was perfect for sightseeing by foot and it is close to tram stops, bus routes and the metro. If you are flying into Lisbon don't bother with a taxi transfer as the metro now runs to the airport and it is an easy and cheap way to travel to the apartment. We had a superb time in Lisbon, which is very underrated, enhanced by the perfect accommodation! One tip - buy a 7 collinas/via viagem "zapper" card for .50 Euros and load it with Euros for travel on all forms of public transport in Lisbon. It could even be used on the 40 mins train journey to Sintra ( a must see) Great value!!! If you are thinking of going to Lisbon - do it, and book this apartment. You won't regret it!

  Best experience with VRBO to date. Owner and assistant were extremely responsive and attentive. Outstading property - modern conveniences, clean, comfortable, gorgeous wrap around view of caslte, river and quaint neighborhood streets. Perfect location, next door to shops, cafes and historic sites. Our party of 4 unanimously actually declared it the favourite experience of the whole trip.

  The apartment is huge, well furnished, and in a convenient location. The big downside is the street noise at night. People are outside until after 2:00 a.m. and then the garbage trucks rumbled by. Sleeping with the window open was impossible. Fortunately, the double paned windows shut out most of the notice. However, without open windows we had to use air conditioning.

  The listing description was totally accurate. In fact, the apartment was even better than we expected, and we expected it to be good. It was clean, well maintained, spacious, comfortable, perfectly located, and the views were spectacular. The owner was available and helpful at every stage from arranging for transport from the airport to checking that everything was acceptable. We were a family of four adults, and the two bedrooms and two baths were comfortable and clean. The rental fee is very reasonable, much better than renting two hotel rooms. I enthusiastically recommend this property to anybody planning to visit Lisbon. If we return to this wonderful city, we will stay there again.

  We were so pleased with the apartment. The apartment itself was very clean and very modern. The views were beautiful. It was in an ideal location to get anywhere you wanted to go. Paulo was very attentive and prompt to any of our needs. When we arrived there were no suprises. Everything was just as it was stated. Would go back in a heart beat.

  Excellent location to enjoy all that Lisbon has to offer - food, entertainment, shopping and history. Great for two couples or a family. Well equipped with a great view of the Castle and the river. Very clean and everything works. Paulo and Silvia were great to deal with and very, very helpful. Highly recommended!

  This property did not disappoint. The listing description was accurate. The features and amenities were more than sufficient for our needs. It was a lot better than staying in a hotel. The location is in the heart of the exclusive Chiado district, close to Lisbon's main attractions, the metro station, Rossio train station, supermarket, bakeries and shops including the Armazen do Chiado which has its own food court. The property was very clean. Paulo was very helpful and addressed all our concerns. He and his staff were very efficient and responded to our calls and emails in a very timely manner. They went out of their way to make our stay in Lisbon a truly memorable one. We will definitely return and rent from Paulo. I highly recommend this property! Obrigado to Paulo, Silvia and Isabel!

  A really beautiful apartment in a great location. The view was stunning. We could look down at rooftops and also had a look at the water. We had everything we needed and when there was a minor problem, it was immediately dealt with. I would definitely recommend this apartment. And there were three good restaurants across the street. And gelato!

  Every one planning to visit Lisbon should consider this apartment. It is on the best location one could wish: in the midst of a shopping area, near Rossio (the central square) and very close to all public transportation (tram 28, metro etc.) There are a lot of good restaurants nearby. The apartment itself has great views (as you can see on the pictures) and is very comfortable (airco, two bathrooms ...). The only downside is the ventilation in the master bathroom. This was insufficient, with unpleasant odour as a consequence.

  Lovely apartment, fantastic location. Sylvia was very helpful with ideas of where to go and maps etc. would definitely recommend to anyone. Apartment was very well equipped and comfortable, view of the castle and the sea were amazing. We all loved Lisbon and the apartment.
