The calm waters of Coulter Creek meander along one side of the property while Puget Sound (Case Inlet) borders another. This home is a perfect location for families who enjoy the wonderful blend of both privacy and nature. The property spans four wooded acres on low-bank waterfront. You can bird watch, fish, beach comb, observe deer at play or just sit quietly on the expansive waterside deck, watching the boaters and oyster fisherman who make Mason County their home. If there is a gardener among your guests, a walk through the perennial garden, established and tended with care over time, will be a treat to the eyes!
Whether you go fishing in Puget Sound or in the nearby Creek, dinner’s just a short walk from the house. If you have a boat, there is a convenient public boat launch in Allyn, a 10-minute drive away. Kayaks are also available to rent in this quaint Northwest village on North Bay.
This home has a lovely wood-burning fireplace in the living room and water views from almost every room in the house. After you leave the chaos of city life, relaxing in the hot tub as you star gaze is just one of the many perks you’ll learn to enjoy at this amazing location.

If you like to go on day trips when you travel to a new area, there are many places to visit in close proximity to your vacation home. The Coulter Creek Salmon Hatchery is a short walk from the house. Open to the public throughout the summer months, this is a wonderful place for families to come and explore. Hood Canal is a 15-minute drive from the house. The Canal is a 70-mile long saltwater fiord. In the town of Belfair, many visitors enjoy bird watching along the Canal as they take a short hike along the Theiler Wetlands. Twanoh State Park, on the south side of the Canal, provides an excellent boat launch for those who want to take a ride along yet another body of water in this amazing area of the State. Sea life is plentiful and the views of the Olympic Mountains are breathtaking.
If you are avid hikers, a 60-90 minute drive will take you to the Olympic National Park, where you can take the trails at the Staircase (north of scenic Lake Cushman) near the entrance to the Park; or, enjoy one of the many trails surrounding the Ranger Station at spectacular Hurricane Ridge.
There are grocery stores and restaurants within a 5 to 10-minute drive of the house in the towns of Allyn and Belfair, respectively. A 30-minute trip from your rental home takes you to the Bremerton Ferry dock. Once you arrive in Bremerton, a Washington State Ferry will take you on an amazing 60-minute crossing where you will view a variety of marine life, the Cascade Mountains and the skyline of Seattle. The ferry will leave you along the waterfront in downtown Seattle. If you prefer to stay closer to "home", a tour of the USS Turner Joy Museum Ship - permanently docked along the waterfront in Bremerton, might be of interest to you.
