I am sitting in the dining room writing this review ... I wanted to make sure that I posted ASAP because exceptional people/ places deserve to be recognized. From my first phone call w/ Patti I knew that she was going to be fantastic! As a vacation homeowner/ Real Estate professional specializing in Prop Mgmt, I have a very high standard for what a home should include and how it should be presented. The photos show the property well, but do not do it total justice. It is so clean, and has everything that you would need to enjoy your stay whether you are spending a lot of time at the property or using it as a base camp. Patti also provides a wonderful "things to do" w/ her tips/ tricks for the local areas, as well as her (funny) commentary on things. You really are her guest, and she does a wonderful time welcoming you to her paradise! Waikoloa Colony Villas is a smaller property compared to most of the sprawling timeshare and hotel properties in the area, and for me that was a huge plus. The pool, parking, tennis, Kings HWY trailhead are all just steps away. There is EZ access from the front gate to the building. I like to walk, so I walked to the nearby Hilton, and on another day the Kings/ Queen shops via the Kings trail. If you are debating properties or different condos in the area, trust the 50+ reviews on this one w/ a 5-star average and book Patti's Paradise today.

We stayed in the villa for one week. The minute we entered the villa for the first time, we knew we had made the right choice. The villa is exceptionally well maintained, elegantly furnished and the kitchen is ready for some serious cooking if you are so inclined. We did not hear a sound from the neighbors while we were there. As others have also mentioned, the garage has everything you need to relax on the beach. In addition, Patti provided an information packet with lots of practical information on shopping and tourist activities on the Big Island. We had a great time and hope to come back soon!

We just returned from 10 nights at this villa and we are soooo happy we stayed there! There is everything you need inthe villa and the garage to saty and play! The bedrooms are comfortable and perfect fro a goodnights sleep! The Waikoloa Beach Resort area id the place to stay in the big island. Close to Kona and fabulous beaches! We hope to book again next year!

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

We just spent two wonderful weeks at this Villa. We were extremely please with our stay in this very clean and spacious villa. It gave us great comfort knowing that after a full day of activities we could come home to the beautifully furnished and well stocked Villa. The chairs, coolers and bikes provided were all greatly appreciated. Patti was very accommodating and very easy to correspond with prior to our stay as well as during our stay. Thank you Patti! We could not have been any happier with our stay at your wondeful place, from August 19th through the 26th. First off the place was immaculate, everythnig we could need was made avaialbel by you. We found the place to be clean, accommodating with all the necessities we could want. We enjoyed the use of the boogie boards, having the pool, gym and tennis courts just right outside the fron door. We would recommend this place to everyone looking to stay on the Big Island!

We enjoyed our short stay on the Big Island. We usually come during the winter months. Although it is more humid in the summer, it was nice to see all the flowers at this time of year, and experience the warmer water at Hapuna Beach. Aloha! Just wanted to take a second to say how much I, my wife and her parents enjoyed staying at your Villa for the second half of our stay on the Big Island. After having spent the first few days on the Hilo side, it was amazing to see how different the Kona side could be - plains instead of rainforest, breathtaking views of the mountains, and sun instead of clouds! Such diversity in such a small area is something we don't experience as often back home. Thanks again for the chance to stay at this lovely place - perhaps we'll come by once more if the winds of fate see fit to return us to Hawai'i someday. Aloha Oe' Our family had 3 units at the Villa's. Patti and Jim, yours was by far the prettiest and the nicest. It was perfect. We had dinner at our friends' coffee farm above Captain Cook "Canopy Coffee", lunch at Jameson's (our friend Sarah works there). Went to Parker Ranch, Place of Refuge, and the King Kamehameha I Statue. We went on the "Hula Kai" and the "Fairwinds" fishing on the "Magic Marlin II", horseback riding at Waipio, lots to do. I can't believe I didn't get to shop more. We had a great snack at Queen's Shops at Pizza Paradise. Really good taco salad and tempura shrimp. A nice dinner also at the Hilton "Provisioner's" (South Tower) It was very restful having your wonderful Villa to come back to. Mahalo Plenty! Favorite snorkel: Captain Cook Favorite Beach: Hapuna Nui Loa!

This is our 9th trip to the Big Island and sadly, our last. We have stayed at the Colony Villas five times but none of the previous Villas can match the one we are in now. Patti & Jim: Lovely condo! We appreciated all the extras!! i.e. beach chairs, towels, spices, etc Lovely pool area though the wind & clouds limited our use. A walk to the Hilton & around the grounds is a a must!! Be sure to see the dolphins! Walk the path between the Hilton & Marriott to watch for whales and explore tide pools. We truly enjoyed our stay in your beautiful, comfortable condo! Thanks for all your tips, Patti - Rick and Paul especially enjoyed golf on the Beach Course (fun on the King's Course, too..though the wind made quite the challenge!) We enjoyed some spectacular whale watching right from the shore, including full breeches and flipper and tail slapping! Snorkeling at Cooks Bay was superb - a "must do". Our favorite beach was Makalawena (worth the the trek across the lava!). We had a great dinner our first night here at Sansei in the Queen's Center, also especially enjoyed dinner at Roy's and lunch at Tommy Bahama's not to mention some great meals we prepared right here in your condo! After having viewed this condo last winter, it was everything we thought. We had a wonderful stay here!We have escaped an especially harsh winter back in Plymouth, MA. Aloha, Thanks so much for opening your home to guests - it truly feels like "home". We made great use of the kitchen, including the cookie sheets :). The water (ocean) was rougher than usual this week so we did not snorkel as much as usual but we discovered boogie boarding thanks to you! Thank you for allowing your guests use of your boogie boards!! We spent hours each and every day trying to perfect our technique. SO MUCH FUN!!! :) MAHALO! Rob & Kellly PS - Akaka Falls is closed, call before making the trip. PSS - We ate at the Thai restaurant in the Queens Shops our last night and it was WONDERFUL! Aloha Patti & Jim We would both like to pass on a huge thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful villa, we were very impressed with your attention to detail and it really felt like our home away from home! While we stayed here we were lucky enough to go kayaking and as well as snorkeling to see the gorgeous fish we also saw 4 or 5 dolphins (near Captain Cook). We also enjoyed seeing volcano, horse riding, a luau - which Stuart was invited to dance on stage at, and most importantly a trip to Pololu Valley overlook which had beautiful views and added significance for us because my boyfriend dropped to one knee and proposed. We are looking forward to a few more nights on the Big Island, based at Mauna Lani where we are attending a wedding and from there we are going on to spend a few nights in New York before finally making it home to Scotland. We were here for our daughter's wedding and despite the showers and wind on many days, the "Wedding Day" was absolutely perfect weather!! Aloha! We flew over from Oahu for 3 nights to be with my cousin from California. What a pleasant surprise to find this beautifully decorated suite and so clean and inviting with everything you would need at your fingertips. Aloha Patti and Jim: Kudos on your beautifully decorated Villa. It is obvious that a lot of thought was given to the assurance of all necessities plus more. We enjoyed kayaking at K-Bay among the spinner dolphins. We snorkeled with beautiful fish, eel and sea turtles. We hiked many places. Thank you for your generous hospitality and the chocolates!

Dear Jim and Patti: Thank you so much for having a super clean and well stocked Villa! This is our 3rd time staying at your Villa and we must say it just keeps getting better and better. We wish that every time we go to the Big Island that your Villa would be available for us because we stay at other places when yours is booked up and it's like night and day difference! I believe others should use you as a prime model when renting out Villas. Again, we appreciate everything that you have put inside the Villa for guests like us to utilize; everything was perfect. You have everything that one could ask for....especially the Internet connection. Kudos to your staff for keeping this place so clean and luxurious. Your interior decoration makes our stay very soothing and just so relaxing. We look forward to our next stay here in your Villa...assuming it's available.
