My husband and our 3 children (and dog!) had a great time at your cottage. They loved playing in the water and then roasting marshmallows by the fire pit at night. Nicely set-up with everything we needed and a very pretty location.

I spent my childhood summers at Higgins Lake and we love it there. This cottage is great year-round because it has access to the lake for warmer months and a fireplace for cooler months. It has everything we need for an excellent vacation. Great location too - close to areas stores and restaurants.

We had a wonderful time at this cottage! Our children loved the sandbox, swimming, boating, and having campfires every night. My husband and I loved the view and sitting on the swing facing the water. I would highly recommend staying at this cottage which was very clean and cozy.

We really enjoyed our family vacation. The cottage is in a great location on the NW shore and was very clean. We had all the amenities we needed and plenty of firewood.

Renter Beware! There is a road between the house and the water!

I rented this cabin for my immediate family to come and enjoy a week at Higgins Lake. I rented it because, among other things, it was listed as a beachfront/waterfront property. About a month before our arrival, I found out that there is a road between the house and the beach, dock, fire pit and play area! And we only found this out because a family member lives in Michigan and made the long trek up to Higgins Lake to get directions for our other family members coming in from out of state. The road between the house and the water was not depicted in any of the pictures nor was it listed in the description of the property. One of my guests was to be my visually impaired nephew. I contacted the property manager to express my concern about the road and to ask for a refund - I simply did not want my nephew to have to cross a road and watch for cars each time he wanted to play outside. The owner flat out refused to give me a refund and said that I "should have done my homework." He basically said I would need to try to sue him for my money and that he would fight it. So, if you want a beach front/waterfront property, consider this review to be your "homework" because this property is not directly on the water. We ended up renting another place (which was awesome AND right on the water just as was promised in its description) and just stopped by this cabin to store some things in the refrigerator during our stay-- what an expensive lesson!

We spent a weekend at the cottage & had a wonderful time. The kids had a blast playing in all the leaves then coming in to warm up by the fire. It was very clean & quaint. We would Absolutely go back.

My husband, son and his family, and I spent a delightful 4 days at your cabin. It was very comfortable and fully stocked with all of the basic necessities we could possibly need. The main living area is very large and open with lots of windows, which I always enjoy. The picnic table for dining was perfect. We especially loved the beach and the wood supplied for fires. Our grandkids had a great time in the shallow water playing since it was the last warm weekend in September. Very relaxing and neighbors who were very friendly to renters (which isn't always the case).

We had a wonderful long weekend at your Higgins Lake cottage. The cottage had everything we needed and the lakefront location is great. Also, being able to bring our dog was an added plus. Hope to do it again sometime.

Our visit to Higgins Lake was outstanding! The lake is beautiful! The cottage is well maintained and met all of our needs! My sons are still talking about the Bald Eagle that they saw and the fish that they caught!

We spent a wonderful week on Higgins Lake in this cottage! The cottage has an idyllic view of the lake and offers private access. The cottage is cozy and clean, and full of amenities. We loved being able to jump in the lake whenever we wanted and to relax on the comfy couches. We hope to come back soon!
