WELCOME TO OUR DUPLEX APARTMENT:
Really elegant and comfortable apartment with very high ceilings and big three windows. Bright and comfortable space. It is fully renewed from an authentic loft with great space and luminosity.
It has now one bedroom downstairs and a second floor as another big room with beds for four (a double bed on the left side and two single beds on the right side), comfortable seats and an original hand-made hammock for maximum comfort!. Very well equipped kitchen with a washing machine and a dryer.
The flat is surrounded by semi-pedestrian streets with a relaxed atmosphere. There's a supermarket with fresh products across from the flat. It is a family-friendly place and even toys at hand if you come with your children. The interior has recently been completely renovated and equipped with all new furniture, a practical bathroom, a spacious kitchen including all amenities so guests can take full advantage of shopping for delicacies at the local markets. Furthermore, there’s a separate dining area to enjoy sharing meals, and a living-room with lots of light.

THE APARTMENT IS LOCATED IN EL POBLE SEC AREA IN THE CENTER OF BARCELONA:
The apartment is located close to Las Ramblas but in a quiet area. At only 450 meters you’ll find a long avenue. Paral.lel is an avenue that cuts down from picturesque Plaça Espanya right down to the World Trade Centre at the tip of the port. Poble Sec is an area spreading out from the middle of Paral.lel.
The area is safe and primarily residential but there is much entertainment to be had as well. This includes popular bars, theatre and even a club. However, whilst Paral.lel is a busy thoroughfare during the day, the areas are quiet and just a 10-20 minute walk to the centre of the city and Las Ramblas. A good choice if you want to be central but away from the crowds of tourists that populate more central areas.
Montjuic and Placa Espanya are also very close by. The event halls and the Palau de Congressos near Plaça Espanya also make the Paral.lel/ Poble Sec area perfect for those in Barcelona on business. Of course, both Plaça Espanya and Montjuic have a lot to offer to tourists and non tourists as well.
There are several restaurants and many cafes which line either side of Paral.lel which also is home to some beautiful building facades, making it popular with visitors.
There are 2 metro stops, aptly named Paral.lel and Poble Sec, they are on the same line and are a stop or two away from Las Ramblas.
If you are looking for a bit of culture then not to worry there is more than enough to be found in Plaça Espanya which has 2 art museums and Poble Espanyol which was built for the 1929 World Fair and is a "village" constructed from different examples of Spanish regional architecture.
Facilities-wise because the area is residential there is a good range of amenities from pharmacies to supermarkets. Also very near Poble Sec/ Paral.lel is the Mercat Sant Antoni which is a large market selling primarily food products, a good place to have a wander and overload your senses.

There is a parking place nor far from the apartment which has a price of 57 euros for 3 nights, 85 euros for 5 nights and 102 euros for 7 nights, and we think it’s a good price because it’s very difficult to park in the street in Barcelona city center and parkings have an average price of minimum +/- 25-40 euros per day.

We have this property here in Barcelona city center because it's a nice place to stay for a few days as it's calm and comfortable and also it's a great point from where you can have access to the main attractions.

From our property, which is located in a completely renewed old factory (in the past - nowadays it's a residential building -), you can experience living in an authentic, original, spacious and unique barcelonian loft.
As it's in a very quiet street it's very calm.
Also, there are plenty of services nearby, like a supermarket of fresh products just a few steps from the location. At only a few steps from the apartment you'll be able to taste the best and delicious "Churros con Chocolate". Also, there are no words to explain the great Tapas you'll find at Quimet Quimet at only 2 minutes far from the apartment.

Elizabeth and Jacob’s apartment was a perfect home base for our stay in Barcelona. Spacious and comfortable, it is in a great part of the city. The apartment is quiet, private and safe, yet right beside it are streets filled with fabulous small restaurants, cafes, bars, fruit and vegetable markets and true Barcelona nightlife. A nearby Metro station connected us easily with other parts of the city. Jacob and Elizabeth were incredibly generous and helpful hosts. They introduced us to local cuisines and were available whenever we had questions. It is an apartment that I would highly recommend for anyone planning a visit to Barcelona.

This was a lovely home to spend a few days and I would recommend it to others who want to be close to everything but not right on Las Ramblas! The owner was very easy to work with and always available to assist with suggestions. The apartment is just as it looks in the photos if not better. It is also centrally located for visiting all of the popular tourist destinations in the city. We had an awesome time and only wish we could have spent more time here.

Lovely appartment in a fabulous area of Barcelona.Both Elizabeth and Jacob were so helpful regarding any questions or local important information.They even arranged for a taxi to take us to the airport.very Close to the metro and only a short walk to Las Ramblas.

We loved the apartment very much, and we were pleased to meet and talk with Elizabeth by e-mail and his husband in person. He was very helpful providing information. Very modern, clean, comfortable apartment in a quiet, safe area of the Poble Sec neighborhood. Had everything a family of 5 (3 of which are under 12yrs) could want. Within easy walking distance of most areas below Placa de Catalunya. The Metro, which is very easy to navigate, is just a block away as is the great little cafe 'Dino Pan' that we would hit every morning for our cafe con leche and breakfast. The owners are very nice and easy to contact.

The last stop on our 3-week whirl-wind tour of Europe, we found this spacious loft a perfect place to relax after a long day (or night) exploring Barcelona! The apartment was perfect for the needs of our family (including 2 teenage daughters, a tired, stressed dad and mom!) during our 4-day stay in Barcelona in June. It was clean and comfortable and conveniently located - - just a 5 minute walk to the metro! The street is nice and quiet and the air conditioning was wonderful relief from the warm weather! Our hosts were accessible for questions and very accommodating in helping arrange transportation. I highly recommend this property for those seeking an 'off the beaten path' experience in Barcelona!

I stayed at this apartment with 3 other friends for 3 nights and we all had a wonderful time. There were plenty of beds for everyone, and the stay was very comfortable. The location was perfect, in a quiet neighborhood but close to everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked, the washing machine and dryer were great to have, and everything was clean and stocked. The owners were very friendly, helpful, and easy to work with. Barcelona is an amazing city and it was so nice to have a comfortable place to stay that made us feel like locals. I would definitely stay here again if I had the opportunity to do so.

This loft has everything you could possibly need: wi-fi, great shower and bathroom, full kitchen and dining room, flat screen TV with numerous channels, room for 4-5 people easy, washer and dryer, and the building is safe and secure. The loft is extremely centralized in the Poble Sec neighborhood within easy walking distance to El Raval area, Christopher Columbus monument and the waterfront, Park Montjuic, La Ramblas, etc. Paral.lel metro stop is less than 300 feet from the loft too! Paralel.lel Avenue is full of tapas bars, convenience stores, restaurants, and basically anything else you could possibly need! Highly recommended and I will stay here again my next venture to Barca!!!
