Location: Homes, Single Family, Gulf Shores Central, Gulf Shores, Alabama, USA (One Hour from Pensacola Airport or Mobile Airport)
Accommodations: House, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2.5 Baths (Sleeps 6-8)
Keywords: House
This is one of the best locations in Gulf Shores. It is located directly in front of the main beach with an incredible view of the Gulf of Mexico. You don't have to peak between two houses to see the Gulf and you don't have to sneak between someone else's home to get to the beach.
You are within walking distance from some of Gulf Shores best restaurants including Desoto's, Bahama Bob's, the Pink Pony and The Hangout. There is plenty of shopping within walking distance and even a small convenience store on the next block.
This is the place to be during the Shrimp Festival in October. It is also a front row seat to the 4th of July fireworks display. You'll be directly across from the west stage during the Hangout Music Festival. If you want a break from the crowd, you can sit on the balcony and hear the music.
"Escape" is the place to stay if you want to be in the middle of everything but don't want the hassles of waiting for an elevator, finding a parking place, or noisy crowds.
This is a large 1,500 square foot, 3 BR, 2 1/2 BA home. There is one bedroom on the main level with a queen bed and private bath. The living room has a queen sleeper sofa and a half bath. On the second floor there is a king bedroom with its own private balcony. There is a Jack & Jill bath that connects it to a guest room with 2 twin beds. All bedrooms have new, comfortable mattresses.
If you need more room, you can rent the adjoining duplex (see listing 179276 and 137201). It also has 3 bedrooms and sleeps 8. This is a perfect place for large family reunions or corporate retreats.

The house was nice and it was clean but the beds were not very comfortable and the washer and drier were stackables so if you take more than a couple people you are doing several loads of laundry per day to keep up as you can not put much in them. Our overall experience was good and the facilities were right across from the beach so you could walk easily. Owner and staff were very helpful and easy to work with would rent from them again. If you are going to Gulf Shores, we would recommend eating at the Shrimp Basket, Scoops and Ribs & Reds, would NOT recommend Live Bait as the staff was not that great nor was the food for what you will pay. If you are going to Cosmos, make sure to make a reservation as you will not be able to dine without one but their website does not tell you this.

When we first booked the house, we were worried about the area possibly being too crowded or heavily-trafficked, but the street turned out to be easy to cross and traffic moved as well as can be expected in a tourist town. The area AND house were clean and family friendly. We really loved the view and the balconies (Dad took up residence on the top one.) Such a great location- you literally leave the house steps, cross the street, and are standing in the beach sand. Also, the house was well-stocked with kitchen supplies and utensils that we didn't think to pack (such as shrimp deveiners) and extra blankets (which came in handy because the air-conditioning worked so well that we actually got cold.) My favorite part was waking up and drinking my coffee on the beach for my 48th birthday! The house was great in many ways, but among the highlights were the broad channel selection of the cable television and the life-saving sand shower in the carport. Overall, the house gave us no trouble and allowed us to enjoy an amazing week. We did not want to leave and return to reality!

This place is great and the service is over the top. I have never worked with such gracious people in my life. The views are great. I cannot say enough about this place. I have alreadly booked for next summer. We were there over the Fourth of July and could see the fireworks as if we were sitting on top of them. Everything is within walking distance. I only cranked my truck 2 times during the entire week. I love this place.

My family and I spent the last week of May at the Escape. The location is the best - walking distance to gift shops and The Hangout, we all loved it! We also enjoyed the short walk across the street to the beach. Anne, your pet friendly personality is very much appreciated. We will be back. Thanks for everything.
Owner response:Thanks, Beth. I hope you, your family and your dogs come back again.
