Great Value/Affordable/Langosta Beach/ for Couples/Sm Families
Year Purchased: 2007
Why the Owner Chose Tamarindo
THIS IS A SURFER'S PARADISE! Playa Langosta/Tamarindo fits our water loving, beach combing, and relaxed outdoor lifestyle. After numerous weekend drives to Tamarindo from San Jose, I decided that it was time to purchase a place on the beach for our family to enjoy.
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
We enjoy our one bedroom unit because it is located in an ideal neighborhood for families like ours who love the beach and outdoor activities. We just grab a towel and walk out the complex gate and we are on Playa Langosta in 3 minutes. We also really like the fact that our property management has an office on the first floor and if we have a problem that needs to be addressed they respond rapidly.
Awesome for intermediate and advanced surfers.
Great for beginner and intermediate surfers.
Local restaurants and shops all around. A 10 minute easy walk from the complex along the beach.
Owner's Map of Tamarindo
We purchased our beach condo because we love to surf (mu husband surfs, I and my girls boogie board and we all SUP ... stand up paddle surf) and want to be close to consistantly good waves! Playa Langosta's white sand is perfect for beachcombing and has beautiful shells. Playa Tamarindo is just around the bend and an easy walk from the condo complex. We walk there when we want to people watch, visit the local shops or have some Italian gellato!

This is in response to a short questionnaire that I had sent Jerry and Kay after their month stay in the Condo Alysa in February 2008: "If you could change anything about the condo what would you change? - NOTHING - THE CONDO IS PERFECT! What did you like best about your stay in the Condo Alysa? - ITS HARD TO SAY ONE THING WE LIKED BEST. THE APPLIANCES IN THE KITCHEN AND THE WASHER/DRYER WERE GREAT. THE KITCHEN IS EQUIPPED WITH EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO PREPARE YOUR MEALS. THE BED WAS COMFORTABLE AND THE LINENS VERY NICE. THE FACT THAT THERE ARE TWO TVs IS VERY NICE. WE FELT VERY COMFORTABLE STAYING AT THE CONDO ALYSA. IT'S DECORATED NICELY AND THE FURNITURE IS VERY COMFY. THE LOCATION IS GREAT. A SHORT WALK TO THE BEACHES, RESTAURANTS, GROCERY STORE AND TOWN. THE CONVENIENCE OF HAVING A BUS GO RIGHT BY THE CONDO THAT YOU COULD TAKE TO THE AUTO MERCADO WAS A REAL PLUS, PLUS THE FACT THAT IT WAS FREE MADE IT EVEN BETTER. WE ENJOYED OUR VIEW OF THE POOL/WATERFALL. IT WAS VERY RELAXING SITTING ON THE BALCONY. JUST BEFORE WE LEFT TO COME BACK TO THE U.S.A THE GARDNER WAS IN THE PROCESS OF ADDING SOME VERY COLORFUL FOLIAGE TO THE LOBBY AREA. WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO OUR NEXT STAY AT THE CONDO ALYSA - HOPEFULLY FOR SIX WEEKS IN 2009." Jerry and Kay Benjamin, AR

"Hi, We had a great time in Costa Rica, and in Tamarindo. The Condo was very nice, extremely well equipped, and very comfortable. However, there were some problems. First, when we arrived, nobody knew who we were. We first went to the Naxos Condos, but when the security guard didn't know who we were and he told us that we were in the wrong place. After driving around and asking everyone and anyone I had to call CentralAmerica at $1.50 per minute to try to figure it out. Second, the construction next door was very bad. What was weird was they would start hammering on the corrugated metal at 6am, but by 8:30 it stopped. There was hammering for most of the day. Fortunately, during the day we were off doing things, but the mornings were brutal! Lastly, the pool was very cold. Now this could be because the ocean was warm, but it would have been nice to take a dip, but none of us did because it was too cold. All in all, it was a good experience, and I would stay there again if there was no construction. Thanks, Luke Boswell Hola Mr. Boswell, Thank you so much for your prompt and upfront response. I really appreciate it. Overall I am pleased that you enjoyed your 2 nights at the Condo Alysa, however I was surprised to find out you had problems entering on your arrival date. The property management had been informed of your arrival and stay weeks in advance. I will take this up with them and thank you for letting me know (Rebecca Maneen also confirmed that this had occurred). I apologize for any inconvenience you experienced. Regarding the construction, this is an ongoing problem in both Langosta and Tamarindo, however I am going to forward your comments on to the developer of the site to let them know that they continue to bother short term and long term residents in the area and to see if we can get better work times from them in the morning. Regarding the swimming pool, Costa Rica had just ended one of its worst rainy seasons over the past 5 years and during that time pools and oceans both are pretty chilling. The pool is not heated (only the Jacuzzi is) but is very comfortable starting mid January to July as it has had time to warm up after the rainy season. I'm sorry you had to experience it's brief chilly time. Thanks again Mr. Boswell and have a wonderful 2008! :) Renee Lurie, Manager Sand Dollar Vacation Home Rental

"Hi Renee, We had such a lovely time at your beautiful condo! It was so comfortable and everything is just perfect. I hope I can do as good a job with ours! I love that area too and we ate at some great restaurants and loved the estuary tour. I think we were just about the only ones there so it was very private and all the people on site were helpful. We lost electricity the first morning -- maybe due to construction -- and my husband was able to call and work with the property management person, but after that there was not a problem. Thank you so much for everything, Renee, and for sharing your condo with us. Hope your are enjoying your vacation in Puerto Rico. I was there many years ago and loved it. Happy holidays to your and your family. Kate"
