Everyone's dream! Beautiful 2 year old custom built log chalet with stunning views of Lake Sherwood. Located in central Wisconsin in the town of Rome, just 100 miles north of Madison. Lake Sherwood is a sand-bottom, horse shoe shaped lake covering over 240 acres and has a maximum depth of 25 feet with beautiful wooded shorelines. It's a great place for swimming, boating, fishing or just plain relaxing.
The home itself is nestled in amongst shade trees and pines, the perfect setting for all seasons. A large wrap around deck and covered porch offer an open view of the lake - a great place to enjoy meals or take in the view. The inside provides an open concept with views of the lake from all common areas including the second story loft. A private master suite is located on the second floor with a queen size bed. There are two bedrooms on the main floor - one with a queen bed and one with a double bed and double futon. The common living areas have hard wood floors. A field stone wood burning fireplace is great for those chilly nights. A large sandy beach provides plenty of room for play and compliments the sandy lake bottom.
Miles of trails are nearby for hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, cross country skiing, snowmobiling and riding ATVs. This home is also conveniently located 2 miles from Lake Arrowhead golf community offering two 18 hole 72 par golf courses, both rated 4 1/2 stars by Golf Digest's "Places to Play". Well suited for families with young kids with games and toys available.
