Shelter Cove is a Mediterranean-style village located on the harbor, across the street from Palmetto Dunes. More than a dozen restaurants and boutiques line the beautifully landscaped marina, where you can walk to breakfast, lunch or dinner; enjoy live music; shop; rent a boat or a kayak; book a fishing or sightseeing excursion, or just enjoy the incredible sunset views amongst the bright flowers and host of private yachts. If you are a boat owner yourself, the Shelter Cove marina office can help you rent a slip for the duration of your visit. It couldn't be more convenient!
Well-Appointed, Perfectly Situated Unit. This Harbourside I villa offers one of the best harbor views available from its balcony. The bright and airy second-floor villa has floor-to-ceiling windows; a newly renovated kitchen with granite, tumbled stone and stainless-steel appliances; tile floors throughout the common area; newly carpeted bedrooms, and updated bathrooms with marble vanities and white wood cabinets. The master bedroom with a king-sized bed overlooks the harbor, while the front bedroom, with two full-sized beds, overlooks the pool area. Each include their own TV with DVD/CD capabilities.
The den has a huge 50" Panasonic flat-screen plasma TV (currently there are 18 HD stations)with an advanced-component sound system that includes AppleTV and iPod/mp3 player hookups, so you can listen to your own music on this awesome system. The dining room table seats six, while the breakfast bar accommodates another three for meals. An outdoor high-top table on the covered balcony is the best location on the entire harbor for sunset gatherings or early-morning coffee. You'll feel calm and relaxed in this newly renovated villa with its breathtaking view and convenient harbor-side location. It can't be beat!
Amenities. Guests have access to the building's private pool, located within the gated grounds. Guests will be given a key for the gated parking lot, a code for the villa's front-door electronic key pad, and a Palmetto Dunes parking pass for car access to Palmetto Dunes. Guests also have use of the owner's four 26" beach bikes for the duration of their stay. One set of clean linens and bath towels are provided per person for each stay. Bathrooms are equipped with hairdryers. For your convenience, this villa has free broadband wireless Internet and includes a washer and dryer.
Beach access for Shelter Cove guests is a one-mile bike ride away along paths under 278 and through Palmetto Dunes, or it can be accessed by car or the Palmetto Dunes Beach Buggy. The Buggy is a (FREE!) shuttle service available to Shelter Cove guests during season that takes you to the beach, the grocery store or the mall, so you don't have to step foot in your car from the time you arrive until the time you leave our place. Pick up is just to the left of the building. You call and they are there in less than 10 minutes!
Convenience. Shelter Cove offers everything from fine dining to family-orientated water-front cafes and Mexican fare. Guests of this villa can walk downstairs for a cup of coffee at Parrot Cove, enjoy a white-tablecloth meal inside at Little Venice, take advantage of great Happy Hour offerings at King Fisher or catch spectacular sunset dining views at outdoor tables at Scott's or the Marina Restaurant, all within sight of the villa. Additionally, the balcony is the perfect place to watch Tuesday night fireworks in the summer, an island tradition that brings lots of happy faces to Shelter Cove. |
