Major Disappointment. This was not "Luxury Beach Side Living" as advertised.

This unit was a major disappointment. We rented this unit for a month from December 15th. 2011 to the middle of January. The unit was dirty with many of the fixtures either broken, damaged or soiled. Upon arrival I e-mailed the owner about the various issues assuming a previous renter had damaged the unit but he acknowledged they knew about each concern. The list of problems included stained and very dirty carpets; it appeared to be oil stained shoes had walked through the whole unit, many times. There were broken drawers in the master bedroom dresser that fell on the floor every time they were used. The drawer guides were worn out and slivers of wood fell in the lower drawer on every use. You could write your name in the dust on the chest of drawers. The sliding screen door in living room was broken and unusable but the owner felt that bugs wouldn't fly up to the height of the unit. Pigeons of course do. There was broken glass on every tile floor and the kitchen floor had to be washed before we could walk on it without sticking to it. The dishwasher had come away from the cabinet and kitchen utensils were sparse. No kettle and there wasn't even a corkscrew. The oven had not been cleaned from previous use. Even some of the bath towels were frayed from over-use. While the unit description listed a 40", and two 32" TVs the reality was a 32", 27" and a 20" TV. Not great for watching the BCS games and disappointing at best. Security in the building was very poor. Anyone could walk off the street into the building, use the elevator to your upper floor and be outside the front door without any problem. The building doors were unlocked 24/7. There was no vacuum to use and no way to clean the unit. There were just a litany of issues that you don't expect to deal with in a vacation unit but most problematic was that the owner knew about all of these and still had done nothing to solve them before renting out the unit. The view from the balcony is terrific. But the same view is available from thousands of other units along the beaches from Destin to Marco Island. I'm sorry to have to write such a negative review but I sincerely wish previous renters had forewarned others of the problems. From the present condition of this unit, the disparity between the description and the reality and the absolute lack of any needed maintenance, I would not recommend this property to anyone. This was not a luxury vacation unit as advertised.

Just wanted to say that we enjoyed our stay here. The condo is just how the pictures show and we felt right at home there. This unit was very clean as well as the rest of the building. The owner was very easy to work with and very quick to respond to my questions. We loved everything about our stay and plan on staying here again.

We decided on a last minute vacation to Panama City for spring break 2011. It was so last minute that we didn't think we would be able to find a place. I came across this listing and contacted the owners via phone and email. They responded nearly immediately to the email and we arranged for our week long stay at their condo. The owners were great to work with and very accommodating. The Condo is exactly as described and the pictures accurately show the amenities. The balcony is the biggest one we have seen in Panama City and absolutely great to watch sun rises and sun sets + afternoon cocktails. The location is perfect for the spring break crowd but for my wife and me - the Condo/Balcony provided a perfect place to relax. The amenities of the condo and location are top notch and we would highly recommend this condo to anyone. The balcony alone is worth the price. If you have never been to Panama City, then you are missing some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. This condo and its location is a perfect place for a great beach vacation. Bottom line – HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
