Andorra: the Year Round Mountain Get Away - Eastern Sierra, California Log Home Custom log residence at 8300 ft in the Eastern Sierra Nevada vacation area of South Fork. Bishop Creek and all of the wilderness areas of the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains are accessed from this area. Just 14 miles west and above the city of Bishop in the Inyo National Forest off of HWY 168. Enjoy this all season vacation area. Cross country skiing for winter and world class ski area 1 hr north with apres facilities and dining delites. Biking, fishing, hiking and birding include some of the summer /fall activities. Andorra Cabin is divided into 3 floors with two separate living quarters. Both accessible from interior stairs. Thermostat on main floor controls heat and wood is provided for the very efficient wood stove with open hearth. The home includes 2 complete kitchens with washer and dryer on main living level. Main floor has granite floor and sleeping area for wheelchair/handicap access. The home has a great bird population winter and summer. The Sierra Crest from Mt Basin past Mt Tom (14,000+feet) to Wheeler Crest are all part of the stunning view from the living room picture windows. Monthly rental only-31 days minimum. Studio attached in basement for separate but together vacations. (Best to have 4x4 or all wheel for winter.) Mammoth Mtn, World Class ski area, 1 hr from this home. Rent 4x4 quads and Harley motorcycles in town. Hike Mt. Whitney (highest US point in continental 48) and visit Death Valley (lowest point in the United States). All of this in Inyo County as well as access to Yosemite National Park from the Tioga Pass which is 1hr 45 min north (Memorial Day to Mid September).
