Local popular on-site 18-hole public golf course is also available for all to use. Polywogs Sporting good store is also on site with many of your must-needs for local fishing and sporting events. The owners are there to offer their local knowledge on the best fishing holes around. All of the above listed amenties are within Desert Aire limits.
If you're looking for a local winery (Mattawa city - 3 miles away) check out the Fox Estate Winery. For all the concert goers, the Gorge is approximately 35 minutes away. Another area favorite is the Ginko Petrified Forest (Vantage - 20 miles away) which explains the historical background of the Columbia River Basin and the Native American culture. Also make sure you stop by the roadside fruit stands to enjoy the hand-picked fresh local fruits!!
