On a secluded acre of lush green, boasting in its center, an extraordinary perennial display - and looking out directly onto Kachemack Bay with its awesome mountains and glaciers beyond, we offer our Saltwater Suites, three completely separate apartments featuring the elegant Prowhouse. (See our comprehensive "Owner's Website" by clicking the Link provided herein - 3 lines above the "Property Photos", below.
At the outset, adults guests are preferred. This is not a perfectly safe surroundings for wandering, curious children because a 200' steep, dangerous cliff is 250' away. Besides, our amenities are not designed with children in mind. Yes, we emphasize quiet serenity.
However,our park-like, professionally landscaped, yet rather secluded property offers three elegant, separately keyed, culinary-friendly units; all with marvelous views and near-perfect privacy. Each unit has it's own Aquos Flat-screen TV,(Unit A has 2 of them) powered by Dish Direct Satellite, complete with HBO. Unit A has it's own DVR providing easy recording of your favorite programs while you're out fishing. The satellite station also offers special programs including a load of varied music channels. For lengthy stays in Units B or C, we will install a DVD set.
All units are serviced with a wireless internet signal. However, Unit A also features an ethernet broadband high-speed connection free of charge. With adequate notice and at a nominal charge, high speed Broadband may be accessed in the other units with a Modem supplied by the phone company.
We try to keep all our units as a non-allergic environment. All living room sofas & love-seats are upholstered with comfortable leather. Laminate floors are preferred. All mattresses are anti-allergic wrapped. Neither pets nor smoking is permitted.
Unit A, the premier unit with six picture windows at the Prow, and six more transom windows at the peak, has 2 bedrooms (one King bed, one Queen)and 2 baths, with exquisite panoramic views and a most comfortable living quarters for four adults. This unit has a 46" TV plus a 37" sister set for the dining area.
On the lower floor of the Prowhouse is Unit B, which has all new amenities (2007)like a tile-marble bath, a kitchen with Corian Counters, packed with everything you need for a home cooked meal. The living room has matching leather upholstered reclining sofa and chair plus a wood rocker- all new. The bedroom has two antique oak pieces, a laptop secretary and the queen bed is also new, with perfect mattress comfort. The latest model 42'LCD Flat-screen TV is provided.
Unit C, the top unit in the smaller house, is a spacious one bedroom apartment complete with full kitchen, its own W/D, leather reclining love-seat with chair, and a private deck, with dining table & chairs, having the best bay views in Homer. Moreover, unit C, except for a few items, is as well-equipped with full amenities as our newer 1BR unit,including its own, and new, 42" Flat-screen, Satellite TV and private telephone. And for weekly renters we offer use of the on-premises, over-sized Washer/Dryer. However, the apartment was built eight years ago, has carpets rather than laminate floors, is separately heated with an oil monitor, no dishwasher. Rates here are discounted, but the comfort level is at least the same. A real good deal.
To ensure your reservation within two weeks, just call and provide your credit card information. Your card will be charged for your stay.
However, if you wish to reserve a unit, and you call, E-mail or write, more than a two weeks in advance, we require a deposit equal to 25% of the cost of the intended stay, in order to hold the unit for you. You may pay the deposit with your credit card if you call, or use the mails to forward a money order or personal check. The deposit is, of course, applicable to your final bill and fully returnable whether you cancel within 30 days before the beginning of your stay, or, in the event the unit is eventually rented for your reserved time after you cancel.

- Oceanfront: We sit on Binocular Bluff, 200 feet above Bishop's Beach, with unobstructed views of Kachemak Bay and the glorious, snow capped mountains beyond.

- Mountain View: Homer, built on a slope down to the bay, looks over glaciers and mountains. It is difficult here NOT to have a mountain view.
- Communications
- Telephone: Each unit has its own private telephone with dedicated numbers. No Long Distance Service provided. Bring your calling card.
- Broadband Internet: Unit A has both Wireless and its own Ethernet, DSL, high speed connection. Other Units have access to Wireless. However, with sufficient notice and at nominal cost, a DSL modem can be installed to the private telephone by ACS for stays greater than one week.
- WiFi (Wireless Internet): All other units use wireless signal emanating from Unit C, with a "repeater" (signal enhancer) at entrance to Prowhouse. It really works well.

- Handicapped Accessible: Unit B is adaptable for the handicapped. But there are no safety bars in the Bath.
- Wheelchair Accessible: Easy one step access to Unit B
- Senior Adults Only Community: Owners are seniors - and if you are too, then, for the time you stay, we qualify as a Senior Adult community.
- Not Suitable for Children: The nearby 200' steep bluff makes the area somewhat precarious for wandering, unattended children.
- Minimum Age Limit for Renters: We prefer adults. There are no special accommodations or even entertainment, other than TV, for children.

- World Famous Charter Fishing for Salmon and Halibut and a whole menu of other sea critters. Indeed, Homer is the "Halibut capital of the world" But Salmon also abound. Anyone can cast their fly, worm, spoon, thig-a-ma-jig in the Fishing Hole on the Spit to try to land the ever-present, but ferociously fighting, silver salmon (cohoe) whose DNA compels them, after fattening in the ocean, to return to their birthplace. Moreover, five species of Salmon, Dolly Varden, Flounder, Cod etc., and can be found all around Homer waters. See it all on our own website.
