This is a wonderful house for a vacation. It's very big, well maintained, and perfectly clean. I appreciated the fact that it's in a nice, quiet neighborhood, not too close to other houses. The backyard is big and fairly private and the deck is also huge with nice patio furniture. The kitchen has been remodeled and is nice and functional. The master bedroom is huge. The other rooms are spacious and furnished comfortably. There is a garage on the first floor and a large room with full-size, modern washer & dryer. There are high-quality widescreen TVs on the main floor, DVD players with HDMI connections, and the cable has a ton of premium channels. The wireless internet was EXTREMELY fast and 100% reliable. The weather was warm, but I never felt the need for A/C: ocean breezes, large windows on all sides, and modern ceiling fans in several rooms were more than enough to stay cool. The major stores are all in town, which is an easy ten-minute drive from the house. The owners were very friendly and helpful. All in all, this is a really great house where you will feel at home. I hope to be back!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Highly recommend this rental! All of the fun of being at the beach with all of the comforts of home. Extremely clean, very friendly owners, beautiful and complete kitchen. Spacious and comfortable. Five to 10 minute drive to beaches, 15 minute bike ride to beach. Can ride bikes to playground, tennis courts, or around quiet ocean neighborhood to marinas, snack shop, small grocery store. Very nice bathrooms, beautiful deck, quite private yard.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

I recently stayed at this Snug Harbor property with my husband, parents, and two young daughters. Upon our arrival, the house was clean and ready for us to call it home for a week. The yard was great for the kids to play in. The kitchen was updated and well-stocked. The beach was close by and our hostess provided plenty of brochures for ideas on additional activities. Our only concern was the lack of air conditioning, which probably isn't necessary most of the time, but the week we were there was unusually hot. The bedroom was a bit stuffy in the evening. What a great rental for families!!Owner response: This Fourth of July 2010 came with record breaking heat in the 100's so the usual harbor breezes were not what they usually are, something we just had no control over but there are lots of windows and ceiling fans which usually keep it very comfortable. Thanks for the wonderful review!

I rented this home for my daughter and I through the winter of 07/08 and could not have been more pleased. It really is turn key and it is apparent that they put much thought into what people would want when staying there. Kitchen was stocked to the hilt-and as a matter of fact they started re-doing it just at the end of my time there and it came out great. All in all you would be hard-pressed to find a better family to rent from.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

I have stayed in this house July 4th week three consecutive years. Each year there are major improvements. Last year the owner had a humidex system installed in the basement which completely addressed the musty smell. I slept in the basement. Loved it and the big screen HD TV. This year we arrived to find new windows and a remodeled kitchen including corian counter tops. The owner also installed a big screen HD TV upstairs. I try to not watch too much TV while there and much prefer to take the short stroll to the fancy marinas to dream about having such resources. On the first day there I buy a RI State Beach season pass for $60.00. That lets me come and go to any RI State Beach all summer. I would drive the 2 mi. to the house for lunch then head back to the beach. Can't wait to go back next July! For the money this house is an incredible rental value and I hope to keep returning for many years to come. If the owner is reading this...Thanks for taking such good care of your property! If you ever want to sell I want to be on the top of the list!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

Two years ago (2006), my husband, myself, our two young children (ages 3 and 5), and my mother enjoyed a week in July at this beach house. This was our first experience renting a beach house versus staying at a motel. I think renting a beach house is the way to go with children b/c they have more space to roam and it's just more economical. My oldest child who is now 7, still talks about "the beach house" to this day. The house felt "homey" and welcoming. It was perfect space for the five of us and we probably could have accommodated 1-2 more people comfortably-except not in their own room but in a "den" space. The kitchen was stocked with everything and we cooked every meal in the house except one and we packed lunches for the beach. The house is a short 2 minute drive at the most away. Parking for the beach can add up so plan accordingly.. At any rate, we loved East Matunuck beach b/c it had waves and it was not too overcrowded ad very clean! There is also a small beach appropriate for toddler near the fishing dock. Overall we had a very memorable trip. We would have repeated our stay the next year at Hull St, however we went on a trip with another whole family with 4 more kids so it necessitated a bigger rental. The only suggestions I would have is to possibly carpet the stairs to the basement,b/c they are kind of steep. Also, the basement with the huge TV was GREAT but has somewhat of a musty odor. Also, over time I think it would be nice to make some updates in the house to brighten it up but overall we loved our stay.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.
