My wife and I spent a week in August in Denver and stayed at this clean and spacious loft/condo. The location is in the center of downtown within walking distance of restaurants, stores, etc. The visitors center is 1 block away. We took the free shuttle (which stops across the street every few minutes) and then walked to museums and parks nearby. The owner provided helpful and detailed information which made everything easy for us.

Stayed here for a week June 2011 for a conference at the Hyatt (2 short blocks away). Owner provided detailed information on taking bus (RTD) from airport and how to get to this studio apartment (bedroom is not totally enclosed). This clean and comfortable apartment is located in a historic department store and you get gnarly wood floors and high ceilings. Relatively soundproof so nightlife on 16th mall is no bother. The true test of VRBO rentals is when you have a problem. I did and even though the owner lives out of state, once we finally connected the building manager quickly solved the problem. The regular elevators were out of service the whole time I was there and one tenant told me that this usually means that some part for these old, character elevators needs to be fabricated as parts are no longer readily available. This is a 4th floor apartment but there is a service elevator available not too far from the front door or you can use the staircase. This part of Denver does not have any "real" grocery stores nearby. So if you are planning on cooking and eating all meals in you will have to go some distance to get sufficient fresh groceries. For basic stuff or limited needs, there is a rather expensive deli with fresh fruits and veggies 3 short blocks (go right when leaving the apartment to Cook's Fresh Market) and the RiteAid and Walgreen drug stores right by the apartment have a lot of canned and packaged food, dairy products and some frozen foods. Overall, this apartment really worked for my stay and I if I go back to Denver in the near future I would want to rent this unit again.

My adult daughter and her 19-month-old son and I stayed May 26-30. I'm writing this from the condo's kitchen table using the owner's wireless Internet connection. DirectTV was a big help with the grandson. The description is entirely accurate and we have had THE BEST time here! I can't think of anything that we needed. Although our lease will say that food and paper products are not included, previous tenants left enough to get us started, as we will do for the next guy (like toilet paper and paper towels). Pros: Right on 16th Street Mall with lots of activity and big picture windows to look out. On 4th Floor, so street privacy is not an issue (elevator provided). Condo is in a locked building so we felt very secure. Laundry facilities and workout room are easy to get to. Fully functional kitchen. Walgreens, which you can see out the living room window, is open 6am to midnight and had an amazing amount of grocery items--even deli meat, bread, mayo, etc. 8-minute walk to Colorado Convention Center where my daughter went daily. Very clean condo, so the cleaning fee IS actually being used on the condo after each visitor. Plenty of hot water, comfortable bed. Gosh, you could come here with the shirt on your back and be totally content. Plenty of shopping and restaurants right on the mall. Free shuttle up and down 16th Street if you just don't want to walk or get tired. Cons: Since the condo has "open walls," there isn't a whole lot of privacy. However, this is a moot point if you're here with your spouse or someone else you live with. Light from the living room/kitchen will "spilled" over the walls to the bedroom at night, but that's the nature of open-concept architecture. The building itself is very quiet, but the street noise takes about 24 hours to get used to. After a while, you don't hear it anymore. We kept the fan on which added enough "white noise" to cover the street noise. The Owner was immensely helpful and very communicative during the setup of the short-term lease. He recommended the SuperShuttle from the airport which dropped us off a half block from the condo. VERY reasonably priced, too! I hope he never sells this place, because I'd like to come right back here someday!!

This place far exceeded my expectations. The pictures simply do not do it justice - it is beautifully decorated - just charming!. There is a really comfortable sofa (not pictured in listing) and the bedroom is separate with only an exposed walkway. The closet is a huge walk in and this owner was thoughtful enough to provide plenty of hangers. You couldn't ask for a more convenient location especially if you're doing business at the convention center. I rent on VRBO probably 4-5 times a year and this was the best VRBO experience I have ever had. If you choose this divine loft you wont be disappointed!

This condo was great. Very spacious and had everything we needed. Very convenient to the convention center. It is actually even nicer than it appears in the photos and the price was much more affordable than a hotel. The fitness room was nice too. We really enjoyed the condo overall.

my husband and i stayed here for a 3 day weekend to go to a football game. it was in walking distance to the field, to bars/restaurants, irish festival everything!!! i was worried that being right on 16th st mall it would be loud at night trying to sleep but not bad at all! fun to people watch there too! the owner even helped me stock the fridge with native colorado beers so i could surprise my hubby when we got there, great touch! i didnt want to leave this place, it was amazing!!

I'm in the process of packing up and leaving this location in a few minutes, but wanted to take a moment to just say how wonderful this condo unit it. I was in Denver for a conference at the convention center and this location was beyond perfect. Two blocks to the convention center and you pass a Starbucks and Jamba Juice on your way. The condo itself is as advertised, it's a wonderful place. If I come back to Denver again, this will be the first place on my list.

Two blocks from the convention center - RIGHT on the pedestrian mall. Awesome! The only comment that you should know if you are interested in staying is that the Mall-ride bus & light rail run late into the night and early in the morning, so there is the consistent dinging sound that you will hear at all hours.

We stayed here while attending a conference at the Convention Center/Hyatt Hotel. It was fantastic to be able to walk to the Convention Center in about 5 minutes. The bed was very comfy, the building's fitness room had everything you needed for a workout, and the Direct TV could have entertained us forever. The giant windows overlooking the 16th Street Mall brought in tons of natural light, and the kitchen was well-stocked with everything you needed to cook. The best part, though, was George's hospitality-- he gave us tons of valuable information and made our stay easy and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. I recommend this for a single person or couple.

Once agin our stay was exceptional, 1 1/2 blocks to Convention Center, located on the bustling 16th St Mall with shops, dining & more. Unit was very clean and comfortable with full kitchen, much nicer than staying in any motel room. If you want to be in the epi center of Downtown Denver, this unit is for you.

Georges flat is a treat - the building is a converted department store complete with original elevators. The flat has super high ceilings and massive windows and is conveniently located both for the convention center and the 16th Street Mall. A great place to stay in down town Denver Thanks George

This condo is beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, with all modern amenities, located in a historic building overlooking the 16th Street Mall. A perfect location if you want to explore the city of Denver. The 16th Street Mall offers multiple restaurants, stores and shops and a free bus service 24-7. We were visiting my son for a week and had a great time. George is a great host and we will be back.

If you like the idea of being in the middle of downtown Denver, and I do, you'll love this place. Spacious, well-equipped, nicely-furnished; I liked the place very much. If, on the other hand, your desire is a quiet spot in the country, it's not for you.

We can't say enough good things about this place. We went to Denver for a wedding and this was by far much nicer than staying in a hotel and much more convenient. And to top it off, it's about the same price as getting a hotel room (a simple room without a kitchen!). We couldn't have asked for a better place. We loved the modern decor and the comfortable furnishings (the bed was like staying at home with our pillowtop mattress!). When we come back to Denver (and we plan to) we'll definitely stay here if its available again!

This condo is fabulous! Close to everything urban, from downtown eateries and shops to the convention center and the arts complex. We stayed for a week while attending a conference, and we really enjoyed having a HOME to stay in, as opposed to a standard hotel room. The condo is stylish and modern, complete with updated kitchen appliances, high-speed internet, and comfortable furnishings. George is exceptionally easy to deal with and is a great landlord. We highly recommend this rental!

I spent 3 weeks in the condo in October of '07 and can't say enough good things about it. The location can't be beat. Just blocks from the convention center, performing arts complex, shopping and nightlife - everything I needed was close at hand. George was great to work with: everything was just as he described it and our communication and transaction were smooth as could be. I wholeheartedly recommend this property.

I stayed in this condo during a conference in July and absolutely loved it. The building is one of a kind and the unit is spacious, modern, and close to the conference center as well as all the best that Denver has to offer. I didn't even need to rent a car - walking and grabbing the free shuttle service made getting around easy. I have recommended it to all of my co-workers as a great alternative to blah hotel stays in the Mile High City.

We loved the place! My husband and I stayed here for a week while we explored Denver and the surrounding area. It was everything we could have asked for. The apartment is stylish, comfortable and perfectly located. It had everything we needed, even high-speed Internet access. We highly recommend this rental to anyone visiting Denver. It is SO much better than staying at a hotel.
