As one of the few remaining low density complexes on the beach, you will not be crowded on your relaxing vacation! This unit has a gulf side view of the beach (not direct gulf front) and the tropical pool area is just steps away. There are no slow elevators to slow you down - just steps away from the sugary white sands! It is conveniently located near all of the area attractions - 1/2 mile West of the Highway 59/182 intersection! Decorated with a tropical vacation theme and bright, "beachy" colors, let this unit become a favorite of yours!
Configured in a townhouse floor plan, the master bedroom hosting a king size bed and a guest bedroom furnished with a queen size bed are on the main level with a bathroom, the den (with a sleeper sofa) and well equipped kitchen - updated in 2012 with new cabinets, granite countertops and tile backsplash. The upstairs bedroom is furnished with 2 queen sized beds. Wow - lots of sleeping area!!! All bedrooms and the den have a television. Soft Egyptian cotton sheets grace all of the beds for the best sleep one can only dream of! The bathrooms boast thick thirsty towels - a luxury rarely found in rental units!
The kitchen is well equipped for those desiring to dine in. There is also a charcoal grilling area on the complex for your enjoyment in cooking that fresh catch! The reserved covered parking allows your automobile to stay cooler, and the unit is just steps up from the parking.
The swimming pool was renovated following Ivan, and the surrounding patio has a soft covering for those tinder feet and children's knees when they take a fall.

We had a few nights to enjoy this very comfortable condo. The Pool and access to the beach were tops with our boys! Everything we could have wanted for our time in Gulf Shores was there and waiting. The view was good and the other visitors were nice too. The decor was very pleasing to my wife. The kitchen and furniture were fine and much cleaner than other places we've been. We will stay there again and we hope to have our feet in the sand very soon! Our family recommends this condo to all our friends, so you may have trouble finding an open date. Just book early like we do... Have Fun Ya'll

I was on vrbo.com to reserve this particular unit for the fall and saw the review of the June 4 guest. We stayed in this unit in mid-June and it was wonderful. The carpets were clean, furniture was clean and there were no problems with appliances. It is a great condo for large families as there is plenty of room. It is a great value for the money - rarely do you find a condo this large and maintained as well as this one for this price on the beach side. It is obvious that the owner takes pride in this condo. Love the pool area, too!

We enjoyed staying in this condo at Ocean Reef. The price was right and our young children really enjoyed the nice swimming pool! The beach was very nice and was a short walk from the condo. Parking under the condo for us meant a nice cool car when leaving for an afternoon trip to your favorite restaurant. Definitely a great place to stay for a Gulf Coast vacation!

We traveled down in June 2011 and planned on staying a week in this condo. The owner is very friendly & easy to work with. Unfortunately the condo did not work out for us and we moved to another place after 2 days. We are a family of 6 and there was plenty of room and the layout works well. To put it in the most polite way, here are the things that we couldn't get past. The carpet is very dirty...I would not let my toddler crawl around on it nor would I walk barefoot in the condo. The couch & throw pillows have many large dirt spots & had to be covered with a sheet. The fridge has duct tape on it. The appliances are very old and the stove had a strong burning smell when used. The rugs were visably dirty and the vent in the hallway was covered in dust. The cabinets were also sticky when touched. I feel bad listing all of these things but I just want other families to have an opinion from someone who has just been to this condo. The owner does not see his condo as needing updating...even after the conversations we had with him. We loved this condo complex and most of the other condos have been completely gutted and updated with paint, appliances & furniture.
Owner response:Soon after these guests arrived, we realized that they were very sensitive guests, and therefore, we decided that the best method of trying to resolve the issues with them would be to go against our policy and provide financial remuneration to them and allow them to break their lease. The carpets and sofa were cleaned 2 weeks prior to their arrival. Yes, there is a light stain on one side of 1 seat cushion on the sofa (which we have tried several means of having the stain removed, including steam cleaning and upholstery cleaner). Unfortunately, the throw pillow did not get cleaned at the same time as the carpets and sofa, therefore, we subsequently removed the throw pillow from the unit for cleaning. The refrigerator does not have duct tape on it -, the top layer of the chrome decorative film on the top of the refrigerator door (put on at the factory) has been peeled off by a prior guest, leaving the decorative film with a non-shinny appearance, but it is not duct tape. Perhaps the burning smell in the stove is from a spill in the bottom of the oven - the stove is a "continuous clean" stove, and anytime something gets spilled, a burning smell will result if it is not immediately wiped up. Although the stove and refrigerator are not new, they both work well, and we cannot justify spending a couple of thousand dollars to get a new appearance while keeping our rates this low. The air vent in the hallway was also cleaned 2 weeks prior to this guest's arrival when the air filter was changed. When these guests checked-out, our cleaning staff re-wiped the vent - perhaps a recent prior guest kept the door open allowing excess dust to collect on the return vent. All washable throw rugs are cleaned on a weekly basis, so I do not know why they are reporting an issue here. I have checked the cabinets and did not feel any sticky or dirty areas as reported by these guests. Our unit was completely gutted and updated in 2008, with new carpet, furnishings and paint (with a re-paint in early 2010). We regret that this vacationer did not love the unit as we do and so many of our other guests have, but appreciate the time that they spent in making us aware of their concerns so that we can work hard to continually strive to make our unit the best that it can be for others.

We went in on this condo with some friends and it was wonderful! There was so much room. It was clean, and super cozy. My kids had so much fun they cried when it was time to leave. My 2 year old adored the pool and bc it was a small complex he pretty much had the pool to himself. The security guard was nice and friendly....we felt very comfortable etting our 13 year old "hang out" at the pool...just one problem...we only had three days there...next spring break we plan to stay the full week!! :)
