Belle Moons - Olive House is the perfect grape escape getaway. It is a classic early California ranch architecture. It is a three-bedrooms, 1.25-bath house on a large 2/3 acre parcel with canary palm trees like paradise. It is located within minutes to downtown Sonoma Plaza and has a perfect commute location adjacent to Arnold Drive. Only 45 miles to San Francisco Golden Gate bridge, easy directions to airports; SFO and OAK. The green grounds are covered with many mature fruit trees; plum, pears and apples. The boxwood hedges shaped, manicured and maintained by gardeners.....almost like Versaille.
At the red front door one enters into the house with an open living, dining room and kitchen area...all with original hardwood floors. The living room has "down cushions" Ralph Lauren sofa and comfy chairs. The kitchen has an antique "O'Keefe & Merritt" gas stove, s/s KitchenAid fridge and eco-wood countertops.
The first bedroom has hardwood floors with a walk-in closet. The main bathroom with tub connects to the second bedroom. It has a queen size bed and lush carpeting with windows facing the large back yard. The third bedroom with lush carpeting also has full size bed and a twin bed. King Futon is provided when requested.

Wine-uary get away for running girlfriends

Two of my good friends - all of us runners - descended upon Sonoma for a weekend of "Wine-uary". Because we were coming from all over the US, a house outside of town with the amenities of the Olive house was perfect. We were able to walk and take a cheap/easy cab to town, enjoy the vineyards and the quaint town of Sonoma, come back to the house for another glass of wine and some hot tub and fire time. The house is clean, well maintained, and was perfect for us. The kitchen provided us the ability to have a healthy breakfast prior to our forays into town as well as evening snacks (when we had room, because the restaurants in Sonoma were great!). The privacy was great for us to enjoy time together, and also to congregate in the kitchen/living room/backyard. We had such a fabulous time and hope to come back again soon!

Five of us stayed at the Olive house for the Napa to Sonoma Half Marathon weekend. It was a very relaxing home where we could each retreat to our own rooms as well as hang out in the large gathering areas to lounge. There is one full bathroom and a second toilet off the laundry room which came in handy the morning of the race. The beds were so comfortable, the entire home was very clean as well as the yard. We spent one afternoon relaxing in the front lawn and then another evening in the beautiful backyard enjoying the hot tub and the peace and quiet. Location is very close drive to downtown Sonoma square area where all the shops are. You could easily spend a day visiting the shops and wine tastings in Sonoma Plaza and enjoy the relaxing park. We did a wine tour and would highly recommend the Imagery vineyard. It was our favorite by far. We also loved a little cafe just a mile or so from the house, Would definitely return to the Olive house for our next visit to Sonoma!

We just stayed for 3 nights at the Olive House in Sonoma, and it was a relaxing stay that far exceeded our expectations. With two couples and 4 young children under 4 years old, Olive House provided for all of our needs and beyond. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped, the bedrooms were beautiful, spacious and clean, and there were plenty of beds and rooms to choose from so that moms and dads wouldn't have to share a room with little ones. The hot tub was a fabulous addition--very clean and not too hot so we were able to bring the kids in too (though the temperature could have been increased if the adults had wanted more heat.) The backyard was beautiful and had interests for both kids and adults--a picnic table, lounge chairs, a fire pit, fruit trees, lots of grassy area to run on, and a lovely little swing for the kids to play on. The location was divine! Very close to downtown and all the best wineries. There was a lovely picnic basket in the house that we took with us on two trips to the local wineries. Everything was perfect, and we would definitely stay here again for future trips to the wine country.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.
