Why the Owner Chose Manhattan Beach
I was drawn to Manhattan Beach with its “beach boy” appeal of endless warm sunny days, surfing the perfect wave and witnessing amazing sunsets. Some of my favorite things to do are sailing, rollerblading and biking on “The Strand.” I’m also a huge volleyball fan and enjoy watching the best beach volleyball in the world only 5 minutes away!
The Unique Benefits at this House
There is great dining and entertainment. I particularly enjoy the Rock N’ Fish for seafood and Mangiamo’s for Italian. The Comedy & Music Club in Hermosa Beach (10 minutes) features Jay Leno on Sunday nights.
The house is a short 10 minutes walk to the beach, only 10 minutes to LAX, and 30 minutes to Disneyland.

We had a group of friends out for New Year's and the Rose Bowl. We had a great time, house was even better than we expected (if that's possible based on what we'd heard). We had great weather so there were many trips to the beach and the roof top hot tub. Even if the weather hadn't have been so nice the house would have made the trip. I definitely would recommend this place to friends. If we end up back out in LA I expect to look into it again.

A lot of time was spent online looking through the VRBO listings for our Christmas family reunion in Manhattan Beach. This house turned out to be as good as promised--a beautiful property with so much room we could all be together or "get lost" in quiet separate spaces throughout the house. The weather was sunny and warm the whole time, so the hot tub and lounge chairs on the terrace got a lot of use. Having two cars at our disposal was a definite plus! Our family (from Montana, Texas, Washington, Montreal and California) all agreed that it was a perfect place for our holiday gathering.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This house was even more beautiful in person than in the pictures! We stayed here with a group of 12 and had so much fun. This house was built for entertaining. We never felt crowded at any point, and we got a lot of use out of the rooftop hottub. The kitchen and grill were also great... we cooked all of our meals there and barely left the house. Being able to use the two Mercedes was also pretty awesome. I had a great time renting form Barry, and have been recommending his house to all of my friends looking to take a trip to LA.

We stayed in Barry's place for a week in June 2009. Wow! what a blast we had. His place has everything you'll need. It is one classy house. We came from Texas and Colorado and his place met all our expectations, actually exceeded them. There is maid service, an elevator, heated bathroom floors, all the cooking stuff and spices you would need. It's all in top shape and in a great location and safe part of town. The city is clean and safe. It's really a place where you can leave your doors unlocked. Yes we would certainly return. Our youngest of our group of 9, which are 10 and 13 told us we couldn't go anywhere else. They loved the place. The car was an extra added bene. This place is really a 10 and no I'm not related to Barry nor have I ever met him prior to this vacation. Don't pass this one up it's worth every penny. Oh buy the way the pictures on the web site are the real thing. The place looks just like the pictures and all the furnishings are clean and up to date.

Absolutely amazing house. Everything was BETTER than advertised. Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach is a great area to stay in, the beach is huge. Eight of us stayed here and we had plenty of room. In fact, we hardly wanted to leave the house. I definitely recommend it.

This house is absolutely amazing. Fabulous ocean views 24/7. Tastefully decorated, fully equipped kitchen, loaded with extras. Great house for entertaining. We loved everything about it and would definitely return. A MUST for your bucket list!
