Home had everything we needed and more! The interior is in excellent condition with all the comforts we could desire. Pool table was a lot of fun and the spa was great. The location is absolutely fantastic - short walk to beauitful Boulder Bay Park at the Lake and a short drive to The Village. Description was right on and the home was very clean upon our arrival. We'd definitely recommend to others. Thanks for a great stay!

Personally, Mary was not Hospitable, she was rude over phone. We ask her kindly about the Wi-fi, that it wasn't working and she gave us a rude respond, I had to figure it myself and realized that it wasn't connected to the cable box, then the so called jacuzzi, it doesn't heat up to 114 degrees but only 90, so once again we call her and she was not polite, she stated that she will come over to put more chemicals and see the problem. SHE NEVER SHOWED UP!!!! And one more thing when we arrived there on our first day we got a nice welcome not by the owner, but by 9 big horse flies, I killed 6 in our master bedroom and my sister in the other room killed 3!! NOW THAT'S DISGUSTING! I hate flies and our vacation started with those insects in our rented cabin! Also don't look under the bed in the master bedroom, it's lurking with millions of dust mites, there was so much dust and hair from previous cabin renters, that I know very well it hasn't been vacuumed for many months or probably years! Also her pots and pans were not in good condition, I am glad my wife decided to bring her own. Next time I'll make sure we stay in Big Bear and not in Big Horse Fly cabin!

I was a little worried after reading the pervious review, but I was pleasantly surprised by this wonderful townhouse. The decor is very upscale and all the amenities that we needed were all ready there. The moment we walked in we couldn't help but notice the HUGE TV in the living room, needless to say many movies/ football games were watched durning our stay! Even though we brought extra blankets they were not needed... EVERYTHING YOU NEED IS PROVIDED FOR YOU! The jacuzzi was perfect tempature for my three small children who were very excited and looking forward to going in! My family and I had a great Veterans Day weekend in Big Bear at this beautiful cabin. The riverbed flowing in front of the cabin defiantly added extra charm. The cabin was clean and exceeded my expectations! I will defiantly be renting from Mary again!
Owner response:Its always nice when people have great things to say about you and they appreciate all the hard work we do to keep the place in good shape. I have groups that come back and stay here year after year because they know what to expect and they are not disappointed. Living up here in Big Bear gives us an opportunity to respond to our renters needs. Mary Thank you for staying at Luxury for Less

My family and I had a wonderful time. The cabin was very spacious but most of all very cozy. As soon as you walked in, it had a warm feel to it. Nicely decorated;you couldn't help but notice the HUGE TV! We were about 5-7 minutes away from the Village which was nice. All in all, we had a blast. Definitely coming back and looking for one of Mary's cabins!

We stayed at Willow Lodge East over a long weekend in early summer with a party of six + a dog. There was plenty of room for all with three bedrooms (king + 2 queens) and a sofa bed downstairs. There is also a roll-away bed in the master bedroom closet. The master suite is wonderful, with a balcony, skylight, and huge marble-appointed bathroom with deep tub for two + glass enclosed shower. All enjoyed the 67" HDTV with blu-ray player and cable TV. The dining area offered plenty of seating, and the kitchen (with granite countertops) had all the conveniences. The game room in the refurbished garage promises to be lots of fun on cold days. We used the hot tub on the deck every evening to watch the stars with no mosquito problem. The duplex has vacant lots on the side and behind, so there is a sense of space between the houses unlike many of the high density vacation houses in Big Bear. A general store is a two minute walk, and Boulder Bay Beach Park is about 5 minutes walk. One can also walk down the penninsula to the lakefront in about 5 minutes. Pleasure Point marina is about a 10-15 minute walk or a quick drive. Boat rentals were cheap and plentiful, and the lake is already close to swimming temperature in early June (upper 60's). The managers were available at a moment's notice as they live nearby and gave us extra time on check out day to get our multi-generational group (age 18 - 85) on the move. Many thanks, Mary!

This place is nicely located near The Village and has everything that you will need in a house. It is clean, and cozy. My friends and the kids totally enjoyed their stay here, and Mary was really accomodating and understanding to our needs. The perfect place for small families with kids.

Our family just had a getaway to Willow Bay Lodge, we rented out both units and quite comfortably accomodated 9 adults and 5 children! The photos are accurate, however the scenery in person is absolutely more beautiful! I definitely recommend staying here.

I have stayed in Big Bear for weekends and for extended stays for about 6 years. I have rented all types of cabins in Big Bear, Big Bear Lake, Fawnskin and Sugarloaf. I enjoyed most of them, but this is by far the best rental we have ever had the pleasure to stay at. We stayed at the cabin for 16 nights. I have never enjoyed Big Bear more. The cabin shown in the picture is half of the duplex. The side we stayed on could sleep up to nine people; I would assume the otherside is the same. We were told that this duplex was built in 2007. You can tell they had a professional decorator come in and pick the colors and most of the furniture. I doubt I have seen anything nicer in any Log Home magazine.During the two weeks we stayed at this cabin, other families stayed on the other side of the duplex. It was really a surprise not to have walls that seemed to be made of paper; we never heard anything from the other renters.Describing the duplex we occupied:The master bedroom is very large and has a balcony that overlooks a very quiet street (even on weekends); we could smell the pine trees when we left the windows open at night. The Master bathroom is about half the size of our small home in San Diego (had to be bigger than 500 square feet), it has a gigantic bathtub that my daughter never wanted to leave and it also has a great shower. I think my favorite thing about the bathroom was how bright it was without people being able to see in.The two other bedrooms were beautifully decorated; I thought I had rented a house out of Architectural Digest. The beds were more comfortable then you would find in most rentals. Most rentals never have enough blankets and pillows; however, this would not have been a problem even if we had nine people staying the night.Special features that I loved; THE SPA!!!!!! Was big enough for four or five people and was just perfect at night, you could see all the stars and has no neighbors watching/peeping while you relaxed. The Wine frig was great, even if you do not drink this is a great place to put leftover food, bottled water and soda. Air Hockey and Foos Ball in the garage kept the kids busy and was an unexpected surprise. I watched the HDTV with Bose surround sound, I had never thought sound meant much till I heard a good movie on this system…..fantastic! I know that it seems I may be overly complimentary of this vacation home, but I am not exaggerating. Compared to other vacation rental
