This home was everything we wanted it to be. A private house in a gated community away from the crowed and noise. The owners have thought of everything, including; BBQ, beach towels, boogi boards,entertainment media, internet, etc. The home was big,roomy and well appointed. it was very clean and comfortable hugh beds and beddings. The owner called to see if everything is all right and helped in arranging a scuba dive guide, Places to go and markets to shop at, etc….. Just a short drive to the mysterious "Pebble Beach" with unbelievable black 'river' rocks.... We also enjoyed the walk into the estate woods, picked own fruits and enjoyed the endless ocean view and cleaner, cooler, fresh air from way above! The hammock at the lanai outside the dining room was a great place to relax. Too bad the espresso machine broke and we could not enjoy the estate private Kona Coffee. We found good eats at Captain Cook Like: Jack BBQ and a small Thai food to-go under the Choice Market (local, forgot the name). Much better value than the houses we looked at in town. Will be back for my 65th BD!

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Nice try from the owner to fix, after our arrival, the major problem with water. 2 tanks, one empty, the other gave us 3 days of yellow, smelly and poor quality water. I have askedf the owner if I could drink this water, the answer was yes....Imagine, all the laundry made with this water, all the floors as well. Imagine ants, everywere in the bathroom, kitchen and wherever possible. When we ran out of water, 2 full days to set everything. The owner was at the house just before our arrival, how can this negligence be not said? After, the water compagny came to full one of the water tank, add javel and some products to desinfect it, well, the stay in the house, the other half of it became okay. Very humid house, carpets are very dirty and or stained. About the furniture, satellite, beds and house for it self, GREAT. On top, can you imagine rent a house, coming back from your day and HAVING THE HOUSE USED by the neighbor, waching his clothes without asking???? Scary experience to come back and see someone is using the house whitout knowing why and who..... I have asked a refound, they offered me only 3 days credits for my next stay. I will never take that kind of 'chance' again. Good efforts were made from the owner to repair problem but way too much late. Those things must be set before anyone rent this home. Unacceptable and unprofessional. I was very desapointed.

My First Trip To Hawaii

Had a wonderful time in Hawaii every where you go the people were friendly, we stayed at this beautiful home it is very spacious the view is awsome you have to travel thru a cute winding road to get to the home and as you are traveling to get there you get to see all this beutiful palm trees and avocado trees and the home had everything we needed, clean towels, clean sheets, there soap leaves your body so moisturized we had everything we needed we were 8 of us we stayed a total of 7 nites and they went by so fast it felt so homie we had everthing at hand there at the home pans dishes they even had a kettle to warm up some water they even have maps brochers coupons for the activities andl the owner called several times to see if we we need anything or to see if our stay was going well. The most thing i enjoyed about the home was the view and how peaceful it is out there and the beds were very confortable. I enjoyed drinking a hot cup of coffee in the morning and seeing the sunrise. I plan on going back next year A special thanks to Mr Orion and Andrew for answering all our question and we had plenty of questions since it was our first time there I recomend this vacation home specialy if you are more then 5 persons traveling and also makes a good Honeymoon getaway

What a wonderful place to stay!

What a wonderful place to stay. The house is clean and spacious. There is a balcony and hammock waiting for a friend. The view is something out of a movie, with the ocean in the horizon and the lush Hawaiian vegetation abound. There are avocados, papayas, around the property, and the weather is great! The air is so clean, I felt great after a week. I am breathing and thinking more clearly now. The Big Island has wonderful beaches, places to eat, things to do. It is very relaxing and I have enjoyed every moment.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I abhor to write anything abrogating, I own several rental homes in the Pacific Northwest. We arrived the garbage disposal did not work and an odor was originating from the sink, I called Yun, very nice and polite she would get someone out the next day (brought bleach to pour down everyday). After ringing and emailing her in the ensuing days, the following Monday, January 23, 2012, someone can to fix. For two weeks no one came to remove the garbage, I rang and emailed to no avail, one day of heavy rain (thank goodness only one!), the gutters were clogged and the water spilling over (had a large water fall, different). The last day, the house had no water, (before our showers) I emailed and called Arman (local contact) he said he would have someone out there within the hour, three hours later we left and you guessed it NO shower. Today, February 17, 2012, the deposit has not been returned within the agreed time frame (one week). Pragmatically the house is not in good working order and poorly maintained and the response wait is unacceptable, I have traveled much and know the difference, the owner is absent perhaps that's the problem, I certainly hope they change it. The house and the plantation are wonderful and beautiful as in any house it needs maintenance and work which is not happening there.

Owner response: Sadly we get some guest that are not caring and good people as others, the house was trashed, keys left without returning it to Armand and Armand ended up waiting for almost 2 hours for the Guest,the Guest didn't bother to tell him where he is (totally disrespectful) , the garbage disposal was stuffed with trash so we fixed it the next day our plumber went there twice, The Guest didn't bother to tell where he is, we have 4 trash canes out side the house, it is not hard to put the trash there, our housekeeper clean the house and was shock to see the amount of beer/booze bottles,she spent hours to clean the blue color all over the shower, we have another house on the property and the tenant sent us e-mail right away that the trash is all over,TV on, lights on, water left open so that drain the tanks,Missing DVD's, and on and on, we have 3 people taking care of the property, and they are all shocked to see that, The Audacity of the guest to criticized after all what he have done it is amazing, thanks God we have security deposit exactly to solve those issues, he said that he is writing a Book, I hope that it is not a book about how to trash peoples home for less money.

We stayed at this house in July. The customer service by the owner was extremely quick (catch) and everything went well - from booking the house and even quoted a cheap rate for Cadillac (another catch). But, once we landed in HI, everything seemed to be the opposite. The pick up by property manager was delayd by 1hr (we were waiting in the airport with 2 kids and older people). Instead of providing us with Cadallaic (6 seater), the mgr gave us an extremely old Nissan 4-seater, which we had to manage for a day until we got the cadallaic the next day. Then, the house was very poorly maintained, not clean at all. Water pressure was extremely low- only one faucet can be operated at a time. The big problem, to this day (Oct) we have not received the refundable deposit - a big chunk !! The owner does not answer nor return our calls. This management is highly unethical. The property manager and the owner start to play games on each other. There is no documentation for renting vehicles with this owner - so, they claim any to withhold the deposit. This is not a trustworhty place to stay for vacation. We did stay at two other houses in the island - they were extremely clean and well maintained. Never had this kind of experience through VRBO !
