Alaska Little Bear Vacation Rental offers a comfortable, down-home, simply furnished 2-story townhouse in Chugiak, Alaska, that you can call adventure headquarters any time of the year. We have easy freeway access which allows you to get exploring in short order.
Chugiak is centrally located: 15 minutes to Anchorage, 15 minutes to Palmer-Wasilla and 5 minutes to downtown Eagle River.
We have 3 bedrooms: 1 with a king size bed, 1 with a full size bed and one with bunk beds:1 full and 1 twin. There is also a full size sleeper sofa in the living room. We have an enclosed back yard with a border garden that the hosts are continually adding or changing plants for your viewing pleasure.
Some area attractions are the town of Chugiak-Eagle River, Eagle River Nature Center, Thunderbird Falls, Eklutna village and Eklutna Lake, shopping and sights in Anchorage, or go north to the Wasilla-Palmer area and visit the Musk Ox Farm, Reindeer Farm and the Iditarod Headquarters, just to name a few. Don't forget world class fishing and hunting!

Would recommend this house . It is in a quiet neighborhood not far from the freeway. The house looks exactly as the pictures show. Very clean, roomy and the beds are comfortable. We stayed 3 nights and loved it. Has it's own private patio and BQ. The owners do live on the property and are very friendly and helpful. If you want the perfect location for a rental this is it.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay here. The home was comfortable, cozy, and the host was very hospitable. During our stay here, we used the home like a "base camp," where it was located within close proximity to many area attractions. In fact, Cyndi was very knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions for nearby sightseeing, shopping, and other resources. The home was easy to find and, again, offered easy access to many attractions. One of the conveniences Cyndi offered my family was a portable crib (pack 'n play) so that we didn't have to worry about packing ours for the flight north. This was a generous consideration. She even went out and bought bedding for the crib so our 14-month old would be comfortable, too. Thanks, Cyndi! The ammenities really made our stay comfortable, too. Having laundry services in the home was a HUGE benefit, especially where we were planning on going fishing. This convenience prevented us from packing fishy clothes for our return home. Also, the back-yard BBQ was nice for our fresh catch, and also to prepare a mid-week steak. We highly recommend this home for any visitors to the Anchorage, or even Wasilla, area and would definitly consider returning should we choose to tour the Anchorage area again. I feel that this is the best consideration for a review - whether the guest would consider returning. And we'd return without hesitation! Thanks, Cyndi, for making our trip to Alaska memorable and comfortable! For our family and our nature of travel, there were NO negatives with our stay. This home suited our needs PERFECTLY! If you are a family and plan to stay in the Anchorage area,this is by far your best bet. We spent a week here with four adults and two small children and had a wonderful time. It is close to the freeway and just about everything else. The 3 bedroom townhouse was very clean and well cared for. The washer and dryer were a real plus for our group.When we return this will be our place to stay. Thanks to Cyndi for a great vacation home for our family. Tom, Marge, Andy ,Leah ,Lainey and Marlie

This was a very nice, modern and comfortable house to call ours while we were on our first Alaskan adventure. The setting was just as promised--country suburban--and was conveniently located near everything we needed. Very nicely cared for by the owners and very reasonably priced compared to other properties within 20 mile range. Lots of things to do nearby, especially if you love fishing! Drawbacks--shared backyard with owner; for those with disabilities this property may be difficult to deal with entry and inside stairs.
