Convention in Waikiki

Our group of three ladies stayed at this condo for the week while we attended a work conference. The owners could not have been more accomodating and friendly. Truly wonderful examples of the aloha spirit!. The husband even picked us up at the airport when our flight was delayed by 5 hours causing us to arrive in HI at 2:00 AM. The condo itself was very nice and very close to the Convention center which was where our conference was held. Very reasonable. The only slight downside might be the occasional street noise, i.e., occasional ambulances, fire trucks, etc. Otherwise just a great place to stay.

We just want to thank Sheila and Sammy for allowing us to stay in thier apartment and especially for meeting us at 3am to let us in without any hesitation(our flight was delayed). The apartment was clean and cozy, there was a total of 4 of us staying and we felt like we had enough space. The area was nice, I enjoyed my morning runs along the canal. The main shopping strip/waikiki beach area was only a 15 minute walk away. We had a rental car and having parking in the building across the street was great! The only con we had was that the central AC was not working, we did have individual AC units in each of our rooms but we had to dump out the water from the buckets twice daily (not that big of a deal). Overall we really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to go back! -Rivia

Sheila from the start was very nice and accommodating to all my questions especially since I was renting from the mainland. Every transaction went smoothly and she even provided us a map with instructions which was very helpful. The condo itself is very cozy and fully loaded with all the appliances you may ever need. It was clean and well equipped. It's located close to the main drag of Waikiki and local shops. Easily walkable on those nice Hawaiian night and quiet enough to avoid the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. Definitely would recommend this place.

The condo was the perfect place to stay for two couples. It was close enough to the nightlife of Waikiki, but also far enough away to enjoy and relax. It has a great view of the canal and you really can watch canoe races evry night. The artwork was beautiul and the home was very liveable. Sheila and Sami were very easy-going and flexible.

My sister, her boyfriend and I stayed here because we were in town for the Honolulu Marathon. Overall the place was in a great location to the convention center, the start/finish line as well as the down town shopping areas and beaches. The condo itself appears to look bigger in the pictures but when we got there the rooms were a little small. The kitchen was great for cooking and the balcony view overlooking the river was beautiful. The negative things about the stay was that the place is on the 5th floor from a very busy street. Garbage trucks came daily and you could hear every little thing outside. If you're a light sleeper, this would be a hard place for you to get consistent sleep. Not to mention that there was construction going on across the river so we could hear the drills and pounding. There was a constant sound of people driving around in rental buggie cars so there were motorcycle sounds early in the morning and late at night. Sirens too!! The other negative is that the garage is across the street and not very convenient if you need to go out and buy groceries, unload bags/luggage. We at one point were walking around the garage trying to figure out how to get in and get to the appropriate floor. We were not informed how to use the sensor to activate the elevator to get to our floor. A security guard had to show us since he saw us walking around like lost puppies. Other than those two things - noise level and parking issue - the place was fine. We spent most of the time outside and exploring. If I came back, I don't think I would stay here.

A nice tidy unit close to where it's all happening. This is my first time staying in a condo rather than one of the many hotels and I highly recommend this to those who wish to explore Waikiki whilst enjoying the comforts of home away from home.

Sheila was a great person to work with when it came down to finding a place to stay. Her condo was very roomy, had all the amenities that we needed, and had a great view of the canal and the mountains. After a short rain, we really enjoyed seeing the rainbows off in the distance. The location was easy to get in and out of and within walking distance of shopping, restaurants and the beach. Having a paid parking garage was a nice added treat as well. What we liked the best was the wonderful breeze that came through if we opened the back door and the kitchen window. Most of the time, there was no need to run the air conditioner. I can't say enough nice things about our stay. We really enjoyed it and will most definately stay at Sheila's condo again when we return for another vacation.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sami & Sheila's beutiful condo. This place has everything, from being in the perfect location (10 minute walking distance to the beach) to having everything you can think of to make ya feel like your home away from home(laundry basket, cooler, beach chairs, cooler, boogie boards etc) and Sheila has made a wonderful binder with tons of information on activities and island culture. The condo is extremely clean, well furnished, (2 king beds are very comfortable) and beutifully decorated with original island artwork, the kitchen has every gadget that we needed. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the canoe races. The building and parking is very secure. Its always scary for me to reserve a place by just internet information but this condo is everything the pictures and internet sight reflect. We Will Be Back Soon.

The unit was very well appointed and clean with a wonderful view of the inland waterway. The main strip was within an easy walk and Waikiki beaches within a 15 minute walk. The rooms were airy with a nice breeze throughout the day. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the conviences. Beach chairs and umbrellas were provided making our beach time more enjoyable. Being close to the main strip in Honolulu the srteet noise was noticeable but not excessive. Sam and Shiela were very accommodating and went out of their way to insure we had a pleasent stay. I would recommend this vacation rental to friends and family.
