Pine Rock, a classic shingle style cottage built in 1890 exhibits many decorative details of the era. The 8-bedroom year round residence has high ceilings, a sun room, den, and fireplaces in the formal living and dining rooms as well as one bedroom. Large porches provide additional living areas.
In the one hundred plus years since the founding of our community, families of Grindstone Neck have been able to preserve a way of life that has been lost in most parts of our country. Here children can still safely ride their bikes to town for ice cream and grown-ups can enjoy all of summer's pastimes in privacy and security.
Picnicing on the rocks, cycling out to Schoodic Point in Acadia National Park, exploring the beautiflul coastline and touring nearby harbor towns are just a few of the many excitng activities. It is truly a relaxing family vacation for children of all ages.
