The island of Bonaire is the marine life capital of the Caribbean, a "Diver's Paradise", full of deep sea treasures. For both diving and snorkeling, Bonaire is one of the premier locations in the entire world. In fact, it is said that it is easier to scuba dive in Bonaire than anywhere else on earth.

Bonaire, French for "good air," is in fact not a French Island. This intimate, friendly island is in fact a "city" of the Dutch Netherlands. Bonaire is known as a diver’s paradise, located fifty miles north of Venezuela, and is the middle island in the ABC Netherlands Antilles chain (with Aruba and Curacao being the A and C). Bonaire's beaches are un-crowded and intimate. The boomerang-shaped island is a mere 112 square miles and varies between three to seven miles wide. Local resident population is 12,000 and there is not one traffic stop light on the island! You’ll view unique wildlife such as flamingos, huge spiny iguana and wild goats and donkeys as you explore over 94 walk-in, shore dive sites around the island.

An overall description of the marine geography is summarized as shallow and narrow terraces that slope down gently from shorelines to a depth of 30 feet (10m) and drop typically at an angle of 45 degrees to depths of about 130 feet (40m). Explore the fabulous vertical walls and double reef formations surrounding the island. Uninhabited Klein Bonaire, a quick jaunt across the channel, sports more diving fun with 80 additional marked dive sites, where divers encounter more than 355 species of fish counted by experts and novices via REFF survey.
