Very nice, peaceful home. We especially enjoyed the accessibility of the grounds. There were no mountains to climb, or undergrowth to get through. Just nice, pleasant walking area. House is well stocked with everything needed. Only possible suggestion would be a mall, or ax for splitting wood. There is tons of wood on property, bot most is too large for fireplace. If we stay in Westcliff area again, we will choose this home

We rented this beautiful home in Westcliffe. The home was just awesome and worked very well for the accommodations of my group. It was clean and stocked and the porch was awesome! We would sit on the porch every morning and evening and watch the wild turkeys wander by. The setting is breath taking! Some of my group was from Ohio and never been to Colorado. What a great place to take them to! If I was to have a cabin in the woods this would be the location! The location work so well for us as we had guest in for my daughters wedding at the Historic Pines Ranch close by. The owners were very reachable and worked with us. I will definitely recommend this Vacation rental to others and will stay here again as a get away.

Wonderful Mountain Cabin
Wonderful Mountain Cabin
The cabin and setting exceeded our expectations. The setting in the midst of the Ponderosa pines was beautiful. The cabin was spacious and very well stocked with not only all the amenities one would expect but much more in well stocked cupboards. The porch and deck were wonderful places to sit, relax, and watch the nearly constant flutter of hummingbirds. We watched a bear wander in the woods behind the cabin as well as deer wander through the yard nearly every day. There were wild turkeys one day as well. It was an ideal place to relax. The one improvement we would suggest is a deep cleaning of the bathrooms before guests arrive.

This is the perfect getaway for anyone wanting a break from the everyday grind. The whole cabin from the couches to the beds are A+++. If I had a phrase to some this cabin up it would be "it feels like home". Thanks for making your homestead available to the public!

We packed way too much. They have everything here's....I mean everything! Kitchen is fully stocked. Just pack your clothes. Very spacious. Large bedrooms. My daughter had her wedding close by and we entertained large groups several nights for dinner. Plenty of room. Huge deck. Comfortable beds! Very quiet location.

Getting away from it all!
Getting away from it all!
This cabin was just as described and just what we needed for a much needed break from the pressures of civilization. It is tucked away in a neighborhood on a hill outside of town that doesn't have lots of residents, so it was completely quiet and the views of town at night were nice to see. The cabin was nicely decorated and very well stocked with all of the necessities in the kitchen from pots and pans to food items, spices and seasonings. We spent most of our days out enjoying the area, so really only enjoyed the place in the evenings, which were cozy. We took a four wheel drive trail up to Rainbow lake for lunch one day, drove over a pass south of Westcliff that dropped us into the Great Sand Dunes National park and our final day we attempted to climb Mt. Humboldt. The area is very beautiful and we will definitely be back. It is also just an hour from Salida, which we drove to one afternoon to watch football and enjoy some dinner. When we were at the cabin, we enjoyed watching the hummingbirds feed and our dog enjoyed chasing chipmunks around the wood piles. A very nice getaway weekend! Thank you for sharing your piece of tranquility with us.

Beautiful mountain setting
Beautiful mountain setting
This beautiful, serene setting and immaculate, well cared for cabin, was a perfect combination for our vacation in Colorado. You are right in the mountains at 9000 feet and there are more hiking trails than one could do in our week stay, although we tried. We especially enjoyed the beautiful sunrises from the front porch. The owners have provided all the amenities you would need. Definitely would recommend this for a vacation spot in the mountains.

This vacation rental was all that we hoped for: location, amenities, dog friendly. I felt as though the owners made their home available to us. I loved to see the 2 deer that grazed in the yard and the hummingbirds dancing on the front porch. After a short climb, we were on the Rainbow Trail to experience the trove of treasures that those hills offered. I will recommend the Pines Mountain Home to mountain lovers. Thanks, VRBO!
