NEW in 2009 is a beautiful stamped concrete patio, a great space to relax, BBQ, and just steps away from the sandy beach and fire pit below. The natural stone look of the patio, surrounded by native granite boulders, provides a connection between the lakehouse and Lake Cocolalla. Lake Cocolalla is pristine 800 acre lake, approximately 1 mile across by 3-1/2 miles in length, well suited for boating, water-skiing, jet-skiing, sailing, and windsurfing. You can dock your boat or jet-ski at the dock(seasonal) on the property, with boat access at the public sportsmans access 5 minutes away. Fishing is excellent for the family from the dock or by boat for largemouth bass, perch, bluegill, trout, and catfish. You can enjoy the 50 feet of sandy beachfront by swimming, picnicking, playing in the water, or simply relaxing. Kayaks and a canoe are available to paddle along the peaceful, wooded shoreline while enjoying the scenery and watching eagles flying overhead. Finish the day making smores in the firepit on the beach with the fresh North Idaho air moving through the pines.
Nearby attractions include Silverwood Theme Park (15 min), Schweitzer Mountain Resort (35 min), Silver Mountain Resort(60 min to Gondola), Mount Spokane Ski & Snowboard Park (78 min),Lake Pend Oreille (10 min), Sandpoint Idaho(10 min), Lake Couer D' Alene (40 min), Canadian border 75 miles. A master bedroom on the main floor offers a king-sized log bed and walk-in-closet. One of the upstairs bedrooms offers a sweeping lakefront view with a queen bed. All of bedrooms are comfortably furnished and have lake views.
North Idaho is a WINTER playground with an abundance of activities to offer. Enjoy the waterfront view of the frozen lake or get out into the outdoors to enjoy nearby downhill ski areas, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. Most winters Cocolalla Lake(or nearby Round Lake) can freeze hard enough for ice-fishing, ice-skating, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing.
