A scenic 20 minute ferry ride from Steilicoom lifts you out of the hustle and bustle and into tranquility! Anderson Island is less that 1 hour from downtown Seattle and SEATAC International Airport.
Begin your day with coffee on the deck and watch the sun light the mist on the water. End the day on the deck watching the sun set over the lake. Life doesn't get any better! Enjoy the peace and quiet on Lake Florence, one of two small freshwater lakes on Anderson Island.
There is a small, sandy beach on the property, and a larger public beach across the lake. When you have had enough of the water, walk across the street to the tennis court for a bit of a workout.
You will be especially impressed with the wildlife! The deer will come right into the yard (to eat our flowers!) and you will see them along the roads as you hike or drive. The raccoons like to hang out in the woods by the lake.
This home is made for families! You will find 4 separate bedrooms, 2-3 pc baths, and 1-4 pc bath. The kitchen is fully equipped to enable you to do all your own food preparations. If you don't feel like cooking, Anderson Island has a great restaurant located on Lake Josephine, just a short distance away. You will also find a well-stocked General Store and Post Office on the island.
Anderson Island is a great place to visit in the winter when the summer visitors have left. It is peaceful, and the weather will still allow you to enjoy outdoor activities. You will also enjoy curling up in front of the wood burning stove with a good book or movie!
