I love Vermont and have vacationed in many of the towns but always wanted to stay in Woodstock, VT. I can tell you, I will be back to this house. It is comfortable and well - stocked with towels, dishes, pans, etc. The kitchen is new as well as the bathrooms. I work 2 jobs so sleep was very important to me. The beds were soooo comfortable. The air is fresh. The night is quiet. The location is central enough to travel to all other points in Vermont, Mass, NH and even Maine and Canada. Woodstock is so charming and inviting you can end each day with a stroll through the village. And, the neighbors are nice! 3 points to remember: 1. If you are taller than 5'4, you will have to really bend to wash your hair in the shower. But, if you don't wash your hair every day, the bonus is you don't have to worry about a shower cap! 2. There is only 1 TV 3. If you are interested in night life, all of Vermont shuts down at dusk so this is probably not the vacation spot for you.

Wrap-around deck was great when the weather closed in as the kids had outside space to play in out of the rain. Location good, close to all village amenities. Neighbors all friendly too. Bedrooms very comfortable, kitchen well-equipped and modern. Parking very convenient and off-street. Property was clean and everything worked. Recommend for families looking for a simple vacation with traditional activities. We enjoyed cycling, walking, shopping/eating in the village and exploring the local attractions - espcially Montshire science center.

The house was absolutely lovely in the summer. The ceiling fans in almost every room kept us nice and cool and being up on the hill always felt breezy compared to downtown. The house is within walking distance of everything Woodstock has to offer and provides a lovely respite for afternoon toddler naps. Everything was in great condition and the decorating was very tasteful. The kitchen was very well-appointed. Oh, and the neighbors (Regina) were so pleasant! (We borrowed a rolling pin in order to make some pie.)

We had a wonderful stay with many (very short) walks into downtown Woodstock. The location is perfect. The home was immaculate and charming. The bedrooms are roomy, airy and comfortable. The kitchen and baths are modern and everything worked like a charm. We spent hours enjoying the wrap-around porch watching the clouds pass and the sun set. We hope to return.

We had a wonderful vacation in Woodstock. 30 minutes to Killington, 40 minutes to Okemo. Walk down the hill two blocks into Woodstock Village. Mountain Creamery for breakfast is a must. Mac's grocery store is right down the street, Gillinghams General Store had just about everything a person would need. Sledding on Mt. Tom just past Billings Farm was a highlight. The house was perfect for our family of four. The kitchen is spacious with the breakfast bar and the sitting room area we could all hang out while dinner was being prepared. The beds were extremely comfortable. The views from big living room window during snow showers was beautiful. Deborah was a pleasure to work with. We would recommend this home to any of our friends and family. I've said it a hundred times, thank you Deb and Chris.

Our two week stay in Woodstock was one of the most peaceful and relaxing holidays we have ever had. The house was so comfortable and well equipped. Many happy hours were spent sitting outside on the rocking chairs, in the sunshine, watching the humming birds, the red cardinals and chipmunks. It is a lovely location from which to explore Vermont and all that this lovely state has to offer. it was a perfect holiday. Thank you.

We had a great time staying at this lovely house on the hill. My husband and I came with our 22 month old daughter and right away we felt at home. The house is immaculate, the bed and bath linens were all super soft and fresh, the kitchen is well stocked with pots/pans/utensils for cooking in, and the views from the porch were a great addition to our al fresco dining every day. We also got to take advantage of the clawfoot tub--especially with some bath salts made and purchased just down the street at Thistle! The location can't be beat -- we barely used our car since it is a short walk to the attractions that our daughter favored most (every single day!) including the nearby river, the covered bridge and the park on South Street near the Woodstock Inn. Other area attractions that we loved are literally a two to ten minute drive, including VINS, Billings Farm and Quechee Gorge -- all of which make timing meals and naps ideal for young families. We will definitely look into staying here again.

A spectacularly beautiful place for a break from the city (or anywhere). We've been twice and will return again. Every season has its wonders -- this last time we enjoyed the late Spring skiing and hiking enormously. The house is perfectly kept, very comfortable, has a great view, and both town and country at its fingertips.

We were comfortable in this house from the moment we walked through the door! We found the house to be very clean, organized and well equipped with kitchen utensils, paper products as well as games and books for entertainment. There was more than enough room for our family of four and the three additional visitors who arrived later in the week. The location is perfect for walking into town to enjoy the shops and restaurants. It is also a great location if you are visiting Woodstock to ski at one of the many nearby areas. We visit the Woodstock area frequently and are hoping we can stay in this wonderful house again - it would be an excellent choice no matter what time of the year you are planning to travel to the area.

We had a wonderful stay here! The house fit our party of seven wonderfully. It was very clean, comfortable, and charming, great views, great location, and had just about every utensil we needed to stay in and cook meals. We're still talking about how enjoyable our stay was here. Can't wait to come back!

This was a charming home just two blocks (up hill) from the main shopping area. We enjoyed being able to walk into town in the evenings. Spectacular views out the big picture window in the living room of the clock tower and the snow covered hills behind it. Woodstock is the quintessential New England small town. We were there for the skiing, 3 days at suicide 6 and 3 days at Killington. Cross country skiing also at The Woodstock Inn and in Queeche. One restaurant we enjoyed was The Mangowood. This would also be a great place to stay in the summer.

This is our 3rd visit to the house. We have always felt like we were in our own home, but in Woodstock. Everyday we walk to George's Deli in the Village Butcher for fresh soup. Even when the weather makes driving difficult we can still get around the village on foot. The owners are friendly and helpful. The view out of the porch window is worth the price of admission by itself. We already have plans for a 4th visit next year.

We choose this home because the pictures of the porch we viewed on line looked so inviting. We would rent this home again because it was so comfortable. Everything that we needed to make our stay pleasant was provided. And most importantly we never slept so well. Thanks for a great time!

We loved being on the side of Mount Peg with our Woodstock resident children and grandchildren in their home across the valley on the side of Mount Tom. It was the kind of time we seldom get with that family and the house lent itself to the occasion perfectly.

My month long stay in Woodstock was perfect !! The house was great for all that Woodstock has to offer. Walking into the village, hiking many trails and fly fishing were so easy from the comfortable house. Everything was provided as stated in the ads and the owner was very involved in making sure our holiday experience was wonderful.

This is a lovely house, in great proximity to the heart of Woodstock (easy walk to the village, shops, parks, library...) and just at the entrance to some very lovely trails on Mt. Peg. The house is well appointed, very comfortable, with lovely views. Highly recommend. Chris and Deborah, the owners, are great, and very easy to work with.

This was a wonderful house. All of the amenities were excellent. We noted that the house was stocked with high-quality sheets, kitchen supplies, and many other items that you'd want in your own home. The house is a quick walk to downtown. Do note that, if you want to be able to walk to town, the house is up a hill and may be less accessable by foot for those who have trouble walking. However, it isn't a problem to drive and park if necessary in the downtown area of Woodstock.

We had a delightful stay (family of 5 - 2 adults, children ages 9,7,2).The home was very clean, well equipped (towels, kitchen tools, bath towels, etc), the location and view were a bonus! Everything was in perfect working order and was exactly as described. Deborah was easy to work with: quick to respond to all questions, etc. both prior to and during our visit. The location was perfect, as we were able to walk to many of Woodstock's nearby attractions (Billings Farm, local stores...ice cream and coffee shops!, hiking paths, Mt.Tom), and yet it is located up a small hill and just far enough outside of town to allow for privacy. The home was comfortable and easily accommodated our family of 5 and our few periodic guests. We would definitely stay here again.
