Our apartment, very bright and comfortable, is located in the historical centre of Rome, in the famous quarter of Trastevere, known for its typical markets, restaurants, art galleries and libraries. It’s on the second floor with elevator of an antique building, in a silent street, ideal for those who wish to be in the centre of town but far from the noises of the city.
The apartment (85 square meters) has been recently renewed and has a living room with sofa-bed, two double bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with tub and shower.
All the important sites like the Pantheon, Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Navona, Piazza Farnese, are within walking distance and the neighborhood offers the traditional Sunday market of Porta Portese and many good restaurants and trattorie to try good roman food.
In a few minutes by walking, you can reach the BORGO TRASTEVERE and admire SANTA MARIA IN TRASTEVERE, SANTA CECILIA, THE CORSINI AND FARNESINA PALACES, WITH THE RAFFAELLOS, the BOTANICAL GARDENS. Over Trastevere, there is the GIANICOLO, hill with a splendid view over the city. Walking down viale Trastevere or with tram n°8, you can reach easily Largo di Torre Argentina, Piazza Farnese, Piazza Navona Campo dei Fiori, the Pantheon. In Largo di Torre Argentina, you find many buses for the Vatican, the Colosseum and the Roman Forum.
The apartment is very well connected to the Airports of Fiumicino and Campino as well with all the train stations of the city.

A two bedroom delight in Via Della Luce, Rome, Italy

I rented this apartment for 6 nights for 4 persons (1 double bed and two singles). The apartment was well furnished, fairly well appointed kitchen, and close to all the major tourist sites. It was also close to a metro stop which proved to be useful (approximately 20 minutes walk away). The downsides were the small hotwater heater which made it difficult for 4 adults to all take a shower in the morning. Also, for those evenings in, the only English TV was the BBC. It would have been good to watch something else in English or at least have a DVD player and some DVDs on hand. All in all, however, an excellent apartment for the money for a short stay in Rome.

My husband, 2 teenage daughters and I spent a week in this sunny, comfortable apartment. The apartment is conveniently situated, yet thankfully, far enough from the crush of tourists. The furnishings are a lovely mix of antiques and Contemporary, and very comfortable. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was a plus, as the weather was warm in July. We have no complaints, however, make sure that you have cash to pay the balance of your rental fee, as the apartment owners do not have the capability to accept credit cards.

Excellent apartment in great location - near everything. Very clean, quiet and well-equipped. Even better than the photos. We stayed for 6 nights and opted for the air-conditioning, which helped in the hot Rome weather. No hesitation in enthusiastically recommending this apartment!

My wife and I spent 5 weeks in Rome to celebrate our retirement. This beautiful apartment met all our expectations and then some. The location in Trastevere was fantastic. We were within walking distance to all the major sights including the Roman ruins, Campo De Fiore, Piazza Navona, Pantheon and Trevi fountain. The apartment has great light, large rooms and all the conveniences we needed. The kitchen has been renovated and has a gas stove and oven, dish washer and clothes washer. In our neighborhood was an open air vegetable/fruit market, super market, cheese/salumi shop, banks, computer store, bakery and a laundry. Trastevere has tons of fantastic restaurants. We would highly recommend Del Poeta for pizza, Alle della Trastevere, Ivo, Da Lucia, Osteria Olindo and Fraschetta. Trastevere has a "neighborhood" feel and upon returning to the apartment we always felt like we were home. The facility and neighborhood made this experience one we will never forget.

We rented this lovely apartment two years ago for one week and returned this year for another week. We can't wait to return for an even longer stay. The apartment itself is splendid and so is the location. The kitchen is extremely well-stocked and the full-size refrigerator with separate freezer (for storing gelato!) is a plus. Although not needed, it was nice to see the excellent air conditioners in the bedrooms. The apartment and all the furnishings are in excellent condition. The photos don't show all the engravings and paintings, which further enhance the apartment. The owner has also provided information for operating all the appliances, recommendations for sightseeing, transportation, and restaurants, and many fine guidebooks. Making our reservation and arranging to meet the owner's representative at the apartment worked very smoothly this time as it did the previous time. The neighborhood is quiet. Down the block is a cafe, a newstand, two restaurants, Piazza San Francesco, and just a little further, an excellent grocery store. Nearby, on Via San Francesco a Ripa and Via Natale del Grande, you'll find excellent specialty food shops, including a salumeria and cheese shop, a pasticceria, a fruit and vegetable shop, a rosticceria, and several restaurants and at least one pizzeria. The speedy Tram 8 which runs to Largo Argentina across the river is about a 5-minute walk away either to the Piazza Mastai stop or the Ministry of Education stop. (We buy the 7-day pass for 16 euros which allows unlimited use of the buses, trams, and metro system in Rome.) Another tram route, #3, currently serviced by buses while the tram route is being repaired, runs to Testaccio and the Colosseum (and beyond) , and is easily accessible, too, just a 5-minute walk to the Via Induno stop. Piazza San Cosimato, which is ringed with cafes and where a food market is held every day, is about a 10-minute walk away. There is also a small children's playground there, and is a major neighborhood gathering point every evening. The apartment and its location are ideal for enjoying a stay of any length in Rome. It was always a pleasure to come home to.

My son and I just loved the apartment. It was so comfortable, beautifully appointed and with everything one might need (even umbrellas!), and so convenient to everything. I will definitely return and will recommend it highly to my friends. Thank you for helping to make our stay in Rome so wonderful. Louise T.

Our family of 4 stayed in this lovely apartment for the month of March. The owner, manager, and optional cook or house cleaner were all so welcoming. The master bedroom is sunny with large windows on 2 sides. The building is on a quiet street, but well located to walk to many restaurants and sights.

We highly recommend this apartment to anyone considering it. It is full of light and spacious. The kitchen is well-equipped. The neighborhood is charming, and you can walk to nearly everything you want to visit in Rome. There is a grocery store and internet service near by, and the area is full of restaurants. A charming bakery is down Via Della Luce towards the river.

Who could ask for more? The apartment in Via Del la Luce was all we hoped for and more. We were met by our gracious family hosts who went out of their way to answer our questions, let us into the apartment and explain how things work. The apartment itself is fantastic - well appointed with all the mod cons and more; bright and cheerful; beautiful furnishings, windows in every room that open onto different views of the surrounding suburb; books on Rome to read including the hosts own book of helpful hints about getting around in Rome and Trastevere (including suggested walking itineraries). We entered the apartment to find red roses in a vase and a bottle of red wine on the kitchen counter - after a 22 hour flight from Australia and a slightly shorter one from Canada for our friends, it made us feel welcome and immediately relaxed. The apartment is in a fantastic location - in the heart of Trastevere but quiet; next to a piazza where the locals hang out; great eating places (a superb trattoria two doors down and wine bar around the coner); around the corner from the local supermarket, Big Mammas (blues and jazz club); a wine shop and excellent butcher. The first day we arrived the church in the piazza celebrated Saint Frances of Assissi with music and events. We knew we were in the heart of neighbourhood where the locals still have a strong sense of community, lots of hellos as people walk past, and it doesn't take long to feel part of the place. We would recommend the beautiful Trastevere apartment to anyone who wants a special experience of Rome. I can't even think of any downsides - except that we couldn't stay longer!

Of all the places we stayed while in Italia , this apartment was our favorite! The location perfect, the apartment itself was comfortable and spacious, the only problem was that we didn't spend enough time at the apartment. Nicoletta was a dear, we arrived late, were lost in the dark and were guided to the apartment by her husband. It was an adventure that just added to the charm of the experience. We highly recommend the apartment to anyone visiting Roma. We hope to return one day. Ciao.
