Great Get-Away Cabin Near the Au Sable

We spent a most relaxing week in this cabin in the woods, located within a few miles of the Au Sable River. We found the cabin very clean and well-maintained. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything necessary for cooking great meals. Being surrounded by a hardwood forest, the cabin remained cool during the day, despite warm outside temperatures. Hearing the wind in the trees devoid of city noise was a real treat. The owner is extremely helpful and interested in providing a place for a truly relaxing get-away. We hope to return regularly!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We have been vacationing in the Grayling/Roscommon area for 5 years and we finally found a cabin we will return to. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. Drive a few minutes in any direction and you will be on a Blue Ribbon Trout stream. While we were there, the temperature reached into the high 80's, but the cabin was cool because of the trees and ceiling fans in every room. Kitchen was complete and uncramped. The owners where great.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children.

Our stay at this cabin was one of the most memorable parts of our trip, it was very clean and comfortable. The owner was very friendly and easy to deal with and more than considerate of our needs. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone that would ever consider staying in the Grayling area. The fire pit was a very nice addition to the cabin ambiance.

Plenty of privacy and a very peaceful setting amidst pine and oak woodlands tucked away off the main road about a 1/2 mile but easily accessible. No road noise or light pollution and only 8 miles from Grayling. It's a very well kept cabin with "up north" decor. The owner was very helpful and it is an excellent value. We stayed four nights this past December 2008 and thoroughly enjoyed it. If it's a peaceful northwoods retreat you're looking for this is it.

My family recently stayed a week at the cabin and it was perfect. Very peaceful. Actually seen deer every morning in the back. The cabin was very comfortable and had everything we needed plus some. We are going back up in the fall. The owners are doing an excellent job making sure that everything is perfect for whoever stays there. I am recommending this place to our friends.
