This very special beach front home on the Carpinteria City Beach was designed and built by the nationally published and award winning design/build team of Lani Loeks and Chris Clemens, who are it's owners.
Exquisitely handcrafted as a Victorian era Cottage with extensive period detailing, it is located on a wide stretch of "The World's Safest Beach". It is one of a handful of true Beach Houses (actually on a sandy beach) in the Santa Barbara area. The home was featured in the July/August issue of Coastal Living in 2003 and is one of a very few premier properties where you can not only walk out on the sand, you can also walk to restaurants, shops, and a farmer's market! Locals often describe this house as the "nicest on the beach".
Wake to watch the dolphins swim by from one of the two spacious beach side decks and dine in the bay window overlooking the coast from Santa Barbara to Malibu. Play in the surf in front or walk the beach to explore tide pools and find shells, sea life, and other treasures. There is an estuary natural habitat area nearby with good trails where you can see herons, egrets, cranes, and other wildlife.
Surfboards and kayaks can be rented very close by as well as snorkeling equipment. Maybe best of all, just enjoy a good book, a nap, a glass of wine while watching the sunset, and relax, relax, relax.
Carpinteria is one of the last unspoiled small beach towns on the central or south coast, yet it has every amenity one could ask for-great restaurants, boutiques, antique stores, a weekly farmers market, grocery stores, etc. It is a safe, friendly place that the whole family can enjoy.
Santa Barbara, Montecito, and Summerland are only minutes away, but you will feel like are staying in a quiet, special place. Your family will treasure their memories of this unique place for years to come. |
