Located at 10,076 feet, this exclusive log home is immediately adjacent to Gunnison National Forest. Access is via a three-quarter mile driveway that can be maintained for winter access (Cost varies on the amount of snow).
The cabin is located in an Aspen grove. Two decks - one with southern exposure and surrounded by Aspen and pine, complete with picnic table and propane grill. The second is north-facing with spectacular views of more than 20 majestic mountain peaks. The silence and beauty is overwhelming.
The area flourishes with wildlife, including Elk, Fox, Black Bear, Coyote, Porcupine, Mule and White-tail Deer, Grouse and other birds of all types, etc. Sightings are off the decks daily.
Winter offers sledding down the driveway directly off the north deck. Sleds are included. Cross-country skiing out the front door into unlimited wilderness. A snowmobile is available, but we recommend sticking to the drive and roads. World class downhill skiing is 15 minutes away at Mount Crested Butte Resort.
Summer offers hiking, mountain climbing (access to Red Mountain, elevation 11865 feet, can be reached in two hours right out the front door) and an abundance of wildflowers in a spectacular setting. White water rafting is 15 minutes away and nationally recognized fly and spin fishing is abundant on the many nearby rivers and reservoirs.
The "cabin" offers every amenity of a luxury mountain home. The beautifully appointed rustic interior is highlighted by exposed timbers and a large stone fireplace. Large expanses of glass provide virtually 360-degree views.
