Casa Rubia absolutely blew me away! I had high expectations, and they were exceeded. The view of the ocean was amazing, the rooms were extremely well kept, the water (both pool and ocean) was perfect and the food was exquisite ... I just can't say enough good things! Clint and Yvette were excellent hosts and made our stay very memorable. Their staff provided an elite level of hospitality that I've not experienced anywhere else. Casa Rubia was amazing, as was my experience in Puerto Esondido. A hidden gem that provides an authentic experience of Mexico, friendly locals, and one of the most beautiful vacations I've ever been on. Everything about my stay was magnificent.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Casa Rubia certainly lived up to our expectations! We celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary here. Clint & Yvette and the staff went above and beyond to make the entire week special for us. We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Rubia. Truly could not have asked for a better time. The weather, pool, beach, daytrips and everything else was perfect. The kids had a blast, and loved being doted on by everyone. Thanks to Alejandro, Sergio, Ana, Hilda, and Marie for all of your hard work and attention to detail. Casa Rubia is quite the hidden Gem- A Mexican paradise. This private resort and the area, vastly exceeded our expectations. The villa is lovely and quiet, the staff is wonderful, and always there when you need them. Clint & Yvette were the perfect hosts. And the food… delicious. When we arrived, it was breathtaking- the sweet smell of the ocean air, the exquisiteness of the villa, the sparkling pool, and the crashing waves…..Everything was perfect. The hospitality was beyond amazing, the weather phenomenal , food sensational, and the staff was excellent. It was very interesting and educational to experience some real Mexican culture, and not have everything so commercialized. About the owner: Hello, I'm Cary Mullen, my wife Kristina and I are the owners of Casa Rubia, along with our 3 children we call Casa Rubia our home away from home. As a former Olympian and World Cup Champion Downhill skier I've been blessed to see the world. I'm still traveling now through my career as a motivational speaker, I'm invited to address multi-national corporations around the globe each year. With all the places I've seen and experienced, no where has been as perfect a spot for our family as Puerto. After discovering Puerto it didn't take me long to uncover the finest villa in the area and I had to make it my own.
