Grace, I just wanted to send you an email and let you know what a wonderful time we are having here in SMA. Casa de Aguilas is beautiful. It is everything you promised--so close to everything. We go to Parque Juarez and to El Jardin almost everyday. The produce in the market is amazing. Walking back up the hill a few times a day makes us feel like we are earning our Margaritas, and the house is so secluded and relaxing after the bustle of the square. We love sitting up on the roof and watching a storm roll in. The house is big enough that Bob and I can stake out separate bedrooms in which to write while Boyd naps. Boyd had diaper rash last week, and we loved that, with the safety wire, we could just let him run naked to his heart's content up on the roof. Boyd sleeps great here. I think the sound of the fountain in the courtyard really helps him sleep. He is so obsessed with the fountain ("el fuente" was his first Spanish word) that we run it almost constantly. The biggest surprise has been Arasely. We were worried about childcare after my mom canceled, but Arasely is terrific. Boyd adores her. He calls her "Arasetty." Sometimes she brings her youngest, Brenda, and the kids play together. She is so sweet and helpful. So are Hortensia and Sergio. Vicky, too, has been wonderful, giving us a list of her favorite restaurants and suggesting American doctors. All the neighbors have been very friendly. .
