Location: Absarokee, Montana, USA (50 minutes from Billings. 2 miles from downtown Absarokee.)

This exquisite, peaceful 3900 square foot home is located at the base of the mountains just outside of Absarokee, Montana. It sits on over four acres where the Stillwater and Rosebud Rivers meet (blue ribbon trout streams). This private property has over 900 feet of riverfront. Fly fishing, white water rafting, canoeing, tubing, kayaking, and playing in the river are all available from the property. Wonderful hikes to high alpine lakes, and picturesque biking trips all await those who want to venture out. Wildlife is abundant including deer and bald eagles.

The home is in the Beartooth mountain range which can be seen throughout the home. We are less than two miles from the quaint town of Absarokee which has dining, shopping and a wonderful IGA for your grocery needs. The charming town of Red Lodge with its great ski resort is just 30 minutes away. Yellowstone Park is about a 1 1/2 hours drive from Red Lodge. Most of this drive is on the Beartooth highway which Charles Kuralt had called the most beautiful road in the US. Cooney Dam (for good boating) is just 30 minutes away.

The home has all the amenities! The color scheme is a warm brown, with unique art work decorating the home. There are plenty of inviting areas to put your feet up and relax. The spacious master suite has a king bed, Jacuzzi tub, and walk-in closet. The three other bedrooms have queen beds. Pool table, ping-pong, and air hockey are all available in the recreation room. We have a large tree fort for the kids and lots of games for kids and adults. After a day of fun filled activities, have a glass of wine and sit on the overlook to watch the river and the nature that surrounds it. At night you can either relax by a campfire next to the river, watch the stars, or enjoy a movie on the big screen TV.

The Stillwater & Rosebud Rivers have plentiful cutthroat, brown, and rainbow trout. Fishing is year round and can be very productive (depending on the time of year) with a combination of small nymphs (#14-18) in addition to dry flies.

There are multiple hatches including a caddis hatch around Mother's Day and a mayfly hatch may occur in April/May. Stonefly hatches occur with spring runoff and can be exceptional in late June. PMD hatch occurs in mid/late July.

Additionally, the Yellowstone River is only 15 miles downstream and also has excellent fishing year round.
