We LOVED the condo in Pono Kai, overlooking the ocean!! IT was everything that we imagined it would be and expected, and a whole bunch more!! Everything was in such great condition- from the kitchen with all the furnishings, to the Igloo ice chest for our romantic picnics that we packed! The condo was bright and airy and the grounds were just lovely! The photos were just like what we got... great value for what we got. The owners were very attentive in communicating back to me, as we had various questions. We would highly recommend this condo to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay on Kauai.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We have made several trips to Kauai, but always stay on the western side in Poipo. We decided to change it up this year and stay closer to the Na Pali coastline, so we looked for a condo in Kapaa. What we found, turned out to be paradise. This condo is awesome. The lanai is large and has one of the best ocean views I've seen. The interior has been redone and is very nice. It's a lot larger than most condos and nicely furnished. The grounds are well maintained and have tennis, volleyball, golf putting green and crocket along with swiming pool, Japanese garden and an herb garden. The condo is priced very reasonable. We will be staying there again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We were here for four weeks in June and it wasn’t enough. The condo was very nice and the location couldn’t be better. We would have been content to stay on the lanai for our time there because the view and weather were so nice. We actually saw a Monk Seal and turtles from the lanai. For an older complex it was remarkably well kept. The grounds were beautiful and the condo itself was clean and well appointed. Our mission on this trip was to relax and that we did. There are a number of good restaurants and shops all within walking distance. The pace in Kapaa is nice and slow and the locals are pleasant and helpful. Honestly, I was a little leery because I have never used VRBO and all the ratings are so high it seemed too good to be true. I can’t speak for other properties but this one was everything advertised and more. Kevin was easy to deal with and responded to our questions in a timely manner. We actually had a different month scheduled but something came up and we couldn’t go. He facilitated a time swap without hesitation. Well worth it and we will be coming back to this condo.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My new new husband and I stayed here from 21/5/12 to 28/5/12 and enjoyed every second of it. The unit is nicely updated and well stocked. The views from the lanai are amazing and morning coffees out there were blissful. No A/C needed with the crosswinds that come from the lanai deck through to the bedroom window. We got married and stayed at the Waipouli Resort the week before. While that was lovely, we both agreed, that this unit at Pono Kai felt more like home and more Hawaiian; if we were to go back we would stay here before Waipouli in a heartbeat. The price for the location and view is fantastic! Kevin was so easy to deal with and answered us promptly with all of our questions. Great central location in Kapaa. The grounds of Pono Kai have a ton of games that you can sign up for, we had a fantastic games night with some friends on the grounds. We will be back (hopefully sooner rather than later!). Oh ya, great wireless as well!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

This condo is by far the best value in Kauai! Kapaa is in a great location so it makes it very easy to get anywhere on the island in an hour or less. The condo itself is beautifully furnished and very well maintained. My husband, 2 year-old daughter and I loved waking up in the morning and eating breakfast with the sound of the waves right outside. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Kauai.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We spent a week here in April and were so happy we picked this condo for our first visit to Kauai - it lives up to the description in every respect. The resort is located with easy access to both sides of the island, and this unit is beautiful...everything is freshly updated and comfortably furnished. And the oceanfront view can't be beat! This is an end unit, so it's extra light and airy. From the kitchen, you'd almost think you're in a cruise ship with the views of sky and surf. Kevin & Angela have added a lot of touches to help you enjoy your stay - beach mats, coolers and ice packs were especially appreciated for our picnics, as were the notes in the travel guide (so much to see and do, it's nice to get an insider's tips). We hope to visit Kauai again soon, and would love to stay here again when we do.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, girls getaway.

My husband and I vacationed at this condo for our honeymoon. Loved the location. It is central to all places you might want to go. The view is better than the pictures. The price was the cheapest around for such a beautiful place. We spent 8 nights over Christmas. I could just sit and watch the ocean all day long. I would highly recommend this place. The best was how accommodating the owners were. We had to cut our trip short, and they refunded us our money. Would stay here again.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

Just a little note to say "Thank you!" for your hospitality and offering such a wonderful vacation house for us to spend such a memorable Thanksgiving! Breathtaking ocean-front view. Watching sunrise and sunset from lanai, getting around w/ super convenient location and everything in the condo is neat and clean. We just returned from Kauai last week. This condo was perfect! Exactly as described in the ad and the pictures. The complex was well kept and clean. This condo has been nicely updated, plus had some of the luxuries of home that made sightseeing easier: beach chairs, beach towels, cooler, tennis rackets, etc...that were provided or had been left behind by other guests- plus a fully functional kitchen. Centrally located to easily get to either side of the island and plenty of restaurants and shops in a easy walking distance or short drive.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We are back home and missing Kauai. This was our first visit and we loved it. The condo was perfect. It was clean and light and cool. What fun to be right by the ocean. We walked on the path by the ocean in the morning and there was an almost full moon that reflected off the ocean in the evening as we sat on the deck. We ate out mostly, except breakfast, but your kitchen is big and well stocked. Very comfortable bed and thanks for the ceiling fans. We went snorkeling, visited several waterfalls, to the overlook (thanks for the books in the bathroom, we took them with us and followed your must see places) and toured a botanical garden. Favorite restaurants were the Indian buffet, and Olympic Cafe (tropical salad and Macadamia Nut pie) in Kapaa and the shrimp truck in Poipu. We were pleasantly surprised to have the LDS church right across the street for us on Sunday morning! We walked downtown to all the fun shops. Thank you for helping make our few days on Kauai so memorable. We would definitely recommend your condo, the staff was so helpful and the condos and grounds were beautiful.Recommended for: Age 55+

This condo has an excellent view right on the ocean and it is a great centralized location on Kauai for shopping, sight seeing and restaurants! The condo looks exactly as the photos listed and it is very clean. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The sunrises are spectacular right from the balcony! The owner is very helpful and answered all of our questions. We will keep this condo in mind for future get aways. We would definitely recommend this condo!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We spent a wonderful Christmas vacation with our two grown children at this oceanfront condo. Indeed, it did not take a lot of effort to go to the local beach - two flights of stairs and we were there. But it was also the proximity to the beaches and activities on the Northern as well as Southern tip of Kauai that made this well-maintained and well-equipped condo an unforgettable place for Christmas. We do hope to return to confirm that the apartment has a similar appeal at other times of the year. Hint - we have no doubts, and would probably again play in the waves, go sailing and ziplining, hiking and running, etc.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

Nicely renovated condo with simple modern decor. We traveled with our 10 month old baby and there was lots of room for all three of us. The view is lovely, and being a corner unit on the top floor there is a lot of privacy. We used the walking path along the beach everyday, and restaurants and stores in Kapaa are so close that your shave ice will still be intact when you bring it back to eat on the lanai. Near the condo - Lydgate Beach was the best for baby, Kealia Beach was best for boogie boarding, and Kalapaki Beach was best to have a cocktail at Dukes with a view. Easy to make day trips all over the island from this location.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Do yourselves a favor and rent this place. We stayed here for our wedding and honeymoon and couldn't have chosen better. No picture could quite capture the stunning view from the lanai, and the condo is immaculate and has everything you'll need. Kevin and Angela are responsive and terrific hosts, too. This is the perfect place to stay on Kauai. It is conveniently located, so if you plan to do a lot of driving around, Kapaa is the ideal location.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This is a great place to stay. Turquoise water and the pounding surf right off your lanai, 2 putting greens, pink sunrises and IZ on the stereo, what more says Hawaii. This was the first time we rented a condo on VRBO and I was a little nervous about the process,paying up front, renting sight unseen etc.....however we were thrilled with Kevin and Angela's condo. It was better than the pictures. We felt at home:the condo was in a perfect and central location. When we go again we would want to stay there again.. We stayed here December 2008. The location is central and therefore makes it easy to explore the entire island from here. The complex is very close to everything you need. Grocers, restaurants and best of all...the ocean is directly in front of you. The grounds are beautiful. The condo is well appointed--lacking nothing. The guidebooks helped a ton. The owners are very well organized and made the rental easy and provided maps and written directions so it was easy to find when we came in at night. We really enjoyed our stay at the Page's Pono Kai condo. We loved the central location, which made it very convenient to get to both ends of the Kauai island. There were great shops and restaurants close by. The condo was nice, new, clean and very comfortable. Having a balcony looking out over the ocean and hearing the waves so close was both beautiful and relaxing. The small details were nice and helpful- such as, a small cooler for day hikes and beach mats. We would definitely stay here again. My husband and I stayed at this condo for 10 days in October, 2008. The apartment was tastefully decorated, extremely comfortable, and very private. The owners had anticipated our every need including a blender for daily "smoothies" in a fully-equipped kitchen, a Scrabble game, internet access, extra fleece blankets for cool mornings, and even guide books on the bookshelf. We ate many of our meals on the lanai, watching the sun come up in the morning, and enjoying the gentle trade wind breezes as they blew up off the ocean. This unit is really beachfront, with nothing between you and the Pacific but a walking trail (which we also used every day). We swam in the pool every day, as well as in the ocean right in front of our room. The Pono Kai concierge gave us a list of where the Farmers' Markets would be, and we shopped every day for fresh fruit and vegetables. We would highly recommend this condo, and plan to return. The condo was well equipped and nicely decorated. The owner was easy to work with and provided excellent information.The view from the lanai is excellent! The amenities at the resort are very good - barbecues, the pool and hot, the bicycle path to walk or ride each day. The resort was conveniently located so you could take daily tours to different areas of the island. A cruise of the Napali Coast is highly recommended. The condo is also close to excellent restaurants, stores and a grocery store. I would definitely recommend this condo to others!.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The condo was wonderful! Beautiful renovations, fantastic location, and the most spectacular view! It was amazing to sit on the lanai and watch the sun rise and set each day, and then watch the moon dance on the ocean each night. We were able to explore the entire island in 7 days and each day was perfect! Hi Kevin: Thanks so much for checking up. I'm attaching your survey, I checked all "excellent" because it was. We LOVED it!!! The place is absolutely beautiful, and beautifully decorated too. We felt like we had the best place in Pono Kai, and I think it may be............you might want to stress that in your ads, it's so nice. Larry and I truly enjoyed ourselves. We don't eat out much, so we cooked all of our meals in the condo, and had everything we needed for a fabulous honeymoon.
