Enola Summit, a newly constructed upscale custom home is located in a beautiful gated community called Cedar Hills. The house sits up in the woods with a view of the beautiful North Carolina Mountains.
If you are looking for solitude in beautiful surroundings, Enola Summit is the place for you. In the Cherokee language, Enola means "solitary". While the surroundings offer a peaceful, calm feeling you are actually minutes from several restaurants, shopping locations, and a variety of activities that will appeal to everyone. Peak Season is May until late October.
Downtown Cashiers offers unique shopping and a variety of restaurants. A short drive up the road and spend a relaxing day in Highlands shopping and dining. Or drive about an hour to Cherokee and catch the well known drama "Unto These Hills" and maybe try your hand in Harrah's Casino. Only an hour and a half drive to Ashville and you can enjoy a variety of shopping destinations in Biltmore Square and visit the beautiful and majestic Biltmore Manor. A short drive to Franklin and you can mine for gems. Also a short drive down the road and you can catch a ride on the Smokey Mountains Railroad in Dillsboro. About 30 minutes down the road you will arrive in Brevard, the Land of Waterfalls. Take a scenic drive through the Smokey Mountain National Park but don't forget to check out Sliding Rock. During the summer months the Park offers day camp and special activities for all ages.
Lastly, if you don't want to spend time driving, you can check out the many activities at the Sapphire Valley Community Center. The Sapphire Community Center offers day trips to places of interest, indoor pool/outdoor pool, arcade room, fitness room, bingo, DVD rentals, and putt-putt golf, massages and facials. There are summer concerts, snow skiing and snow tubing is available during winter months.
Don't forget to check out the numerous streams for fishing, whitewater rafting, canoeing, tubing, and beautiful hiking trails. There is a beautiful lake, Lake Glenville, just minutes from the house. A boat ramp is available to launch your boat or seadoo with plenty of parking. You can also rent boats at the marina.
Enjoy the cool mountain air as you sit on the porch and take in the view. Don't be too surprised to catch sight of some playful black bears roaming in the woods below. This home is nicely situated on a wooded lot which allows for privacy. The house is very spacious in offering five bedrooms, three and 1/2 baths, two den areas, upper and lower deck with two screened in porches. Everyone can find a space to unwind.
The main level provides a roomy den area with fireplace, half-bath, dining room-seats 6, kitchen bar-seats 4, breakfast nook-seats 4 with screened porch area, roomy covered deck with grill, and spacious kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals if you choose to dine in.
A spacious Master Bedroom (King bed) is also located on the main level with a private bath (whirlpool bath) and screened porch.

The lower level offers an additional den area with flat screen TV, fireplace, bathroom, two bedrooms-one with two twins and the other with a queen bed, wet bar, and large deck area.
The upper level has two bedrooms both with queen beds and a third bathroom. The game room provides entertainment for the kids with a foosball table and a ping pong table for your enjoyment.

My family just returned from a weeks stay at the Summit. The home is well appointed with all amenities. Purchase a pass at Sapphire Valley Resort to use their facilities. The house is well cared for and has everything you need for a large group renting. As a side note, if you need internet access you will not have it except at Sapphire or a coffee shop in town. Cell service is spotty and best when outside. I would rent again! Thank you!

Than you for opening up your home to our family. We truely enjoyed the views and the comfortable layout. Your home was well excuted during your planning. The local towns were great day trips and the foliage was very much in full bloom. We will be back with additional family again very soon.

Wow-what a place and what a wonderfully treasured time. We have truely enjoyed your beautiful home. It was exactly what we were looking for--a warmly inviting and wecloming place to enjoy and celebrate the arrival of the new year with our family.
