This was our first extended stay in Knoxville and we wanted a space that offered the comforts of home. This loft gave us that and more. First off the location is amazing; an historic area known as the Old City. You literally can walk anywhere. There are restaurants, shops, theatre, nightlife all within steps of the front door. The huge corner unit offers great vistas of downtown is very hip in decor with great amenities like a large jacuzzi tub and wood burning fireplace We loved it!

The pictures on this page make this loft look like a wonderful place to stay. The location is great, however this loft is the most filthy place I have ever stayed in! It looks as if someone moved in twenty years ago and that was the last time it was cleaned. I would not recommend it to anyone. I was extremely disappointed!
Owner response:Over the last 5 years in which we have been renting there have been dozens of renters who have been quite pleased with their stay. Many have booked multiple times. Since the loft is not an unoccupied rental space but an inhabited residence, we do not market it aggressively. This means we do not ask or encourage our guests to leave positive reviews on this site. In this case the renter had booked an extended stay and decided to change their plans mid way through. When they didn't receive a full refund for the remainder of days booked, they threatened to write a negative review and this is the result. There were no objections of lack of cleanliness during the week plus they has stayed prior so this is a complete fabrication. We have the loft professionally cleaned before every booked stay. It is not a hotel but offers all the comforts of having your own residence in the heart of downtown. If that's what you want then you've come to the right place.

Unclean with a dead mouse

The property has huge potential and great location but had significant issues we could not handle. There were large (3-4") fur balls in the main entry. The kitchen faucet was leaking. The shower had hair and used soaps in it. There was a lot of street noise and the train tracks were nearby. The wireless internet was not working. The final straw for us was the dead mouse in the bathroom. We tried to contact the renter when we arrived and several times since and he has not returned our calls or email.
Owner response:These renters were in the loft for almost a month when they decided that all of a sudden it had issues. Once again, they were trying to get out of a long term rental agreement with no penalty assessment. It is in our rental agreement that there is a cancellation fee which they signed and agreed to. I had many communications with this couple in the previous weeks and there was no mention of any of these issues stated in the complaint. There was also no mouse when the loft was left for the renters OR when they finally left, so that is an unsubstantiated and conjured up rumor.
