We had an amazing week! What a great property, very clean and well maintained. Every afternoon, my husband and two son's, age 12 and 14 had a blast fishing off the back dock. One night we even saw sting ray and jelly fish swimming by. Hanging out and fishing from the dock was our favorite part of the property. What a unique experience. The house had absolutely everything you could need even coffee and filters. We used the beach chairs and boogie boards from the house - beach access across the street.(not a good beach view from the house though-blocked by house across the street) Even though it was spring break time of year we had the beach mostly to ourselves. We enjoyed the bikes for a quick 1 mile bike ride to view the lighthouse at the end of the road. Fun activities close by - kayaking and paddle boarding, charter fishing and golf. And downtown Folly was just perfect - a few shops and great restaurants, - loved eating outside at The Crab Shack and beachfront at Blu. Great breakfasts at Black Magic Coffee and Lost Dog. The sign downtown says it all - "Relax, Slow Down, it's Folly". If you are looking for an awesome vacation in a house that has everything you need and is very affordable, this is the place for you.

My husband and I arrived at this cozy cottage to find it in an ideal location and in pristine condition. We were 5 minutes driving time from Center Street, and 3 minutes walking time to the public beach access, just across the road. Had dinner at Taco Boy one night, and at The Crab Shack another night - both would highly recommend. It was a wonderful time we had on Folly Beach and we're already planning our next visit. Thanks Suzie for making sure our stay was memorable.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sunset in Paradise. While the weather was a bit to chilly to really enjoy the fabulous back deck, the view of the marsh was wonderful! The house is cozy and very clean. And the owners keep it well stocked with necessities. We would definitely recommend this property.

Two of us spend three nights over Thanksgiving this year (2011) and had a wonderful time. We were spending most time away, but spent some time on the dock and the beach in the mornings. It was a wonderful, peaceful time. The house was cleaner than any rental property (including hotels) we've ever seen! It was just as described, with everything you could need or want. I can see that in the summer we'd need bug spray, as there were tiny biting gnats outside, but's typical around beaches and marshes. We tried to rent the property again for spring graduation at CofC, but it's already taken. We hope to revisit the property again for a longer stay. Thank you for a wonderful time!

I visited with a friend from overseas. Both of us loved the house and the close proximity to Charleston. The weather was sunny and warm so we spent much of our time outside on the veranda. Upon our arrival we found that lots of information about the area as well as Charleston had been left for us to use which helped tremendously. It was a wonderful visit, and I look forward to returning soon. By the way Woody's Pizza is great!

A very peaceful and very quite, spacious and well-maintained humble abode with easy access to the beach and to the marsh. Contemporary appliances and ammenities, lovely hardwood floors and plenty of natural light. Two spacious decks (in the front and back of the house), plus a very, very long and narrow deck to the edge of the marsh--to retire in solitude, to ponder about the mysteries of life, to enjoy an adult beverage (or two!) or to do some good ole crabbin'. Love the beach, but the marsh deck was the highlight of our trip. We have been visiting FB for a decade and this was the best rental by far--at a very competitive rate. We greatly enjoyed our stay. Would come back again, again, again, and again. You will love this place. You will not regret it.

Great 2 bedroom house steps to the beach, 2 porches, and a pier out to the marsh. The house was well equipped and a perfect size for 2 couples or a family of 4. A few miles from Center St so a quieter part of Folly Beach yet still a quick drive or bike ride to the center of town.

We had a wonderful stay at Sunset in Paradise. Everything was perfectly clean and the home had everything we could possibly need. The owners are obviously very thoughtful and want their guests to feel at home. We enjoyed the dock out back as much as the beach. This was our first experience renting an entire house and we couldn’t have made a better choice.

Our recent stay at Sunset in Paradise was just what we needed! The house was perfectly sized for our family of four. Although the beach is just across the street and we all love to see the ocean, the best views were that off the back deck and dock, overlooking the marsh. Off the dock, to the right, you can see the Morris Lighthouse and to the left you can see bridge to folly and the waterway under it. The wildlife off the dock was fascinating to watch and one moring I was privlidged to watch dolphins while drinking my coffee. My two little boys loved the wrap-around deck and the dock as well as the boogie boards that came with use of the house. We highly recommend taking a ride with Anton and Tideline Tours. You can tell he does what he loves and that is to show the beauty of Folly. Great place to look for shells - found a couple of sanddollars and other unique (whole!) shells. Also, Charleston is truly only minutes away and for us, spending a day at Patriot's Point, touring the USS Yorktown (WW2 Aircraft Carrier) was one of the highlights of our trip. I highly recommend staying at this wonderful place. It was just what this family needed!

We loved our stay! The house was great, very clean and had everything we needed. Close enough to Charleston to head into town for dinner or go for a carriage ride, etc. My daughter tried her hand at crabbing and had a good time on the beach finding live starfish too. The sunsets were beautiful. We would love to come back again! I definitely would recommend this home to friends and family. Owner was very helpful. Make sure to walk to the end of the island by lighthouse, we saw dolphins playing there. Fishing pier is fun too!

We had a wonderful stay. The house was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The bathrooms had all the supplies you could need. This was the first house we stayed at that felt like a home. In the evening we enjoyed the marshland birds and the beautiful sunsets. In the early morning we would take the short walk to the beach to watch the pelicans fish and the wonderful sunrise. The walk to the lighthouse was enjoyable and relaxing. We would love to return for a much longer stay and we would like to recommend this house to our friends or family.

This is a great place to stay. My best friend and I stayed there for 4 nights and we only wished we could have stayed longer. The house is very clean and has everything you need. I have never stayed on the marsh before and I feel in love with it. We didn't want to leave in the evening, the sunsets were so beautiful. The beach was a 2 minute walk away. I will be back with my husband and kids next year.

We only stayed a few days but wished we had more time. The house was exactly as described and very clean. Make sure you bring a camera on the dock, you can't take a bad picture. Every picture on the listing is from the dock, they all look like post cards. The beach is a few steps away and the water was toasty warm. It was a very quite island. Saturday there was a bunch of surfing activity, seems like the whole place came alive with the surf. All information as listed is accurate. Owner was great to deal with and very good communication. We recommend this house.

Our family of 4 passed a great week in a spotlessly clean house which had everything we needed. All the towels we needed were there as well as everything else so we didn't need to pack everything from home (Germany). The kids loved the beach, the waves and the beach toys that are waiting in the den. If we ever make it back to the US East coast for a beach vacation, it will be in Sunset in Paradise. Thanks so much!

We stayed at Sunset in Paradise in August and had a wonderful time. The house is VERY clean and well kept and has all the things you need to enjoy the beach that's just across the street. We hope to book again in the future at Sunset in Paradise!!

This house is perfect for two people - it's very basic, but the location is perfect. You can fish off the dock out back and walk across the street to the beach. The area of the island we were in was very quiet. The main bed was very comfortable and the house had just about everything we needed.

Immaculate, comfortable home with beautiful marsh views...SO close to the beach and we could hear the waves as we fell asleep at night. The owners are kind, wonderful, and more than accommodating. Folly Beach was unlike any other beach town we've visited, beautiful southern homes, Caribbean flavor, and a bohemian feel...very charming. We can't wait to go back.

What a great location!! The beach is within a VERY short walking distance of the house and the backyard is on the river (not to mention Folly is only about 20 min away from Charleston). We really enjoyed crabbing off the private dock with the kids. The house was perfect for our family of four. It was very clean, well maintained, well stocked and simply decorated. Can't wait to plan our next trip to Folly!!

We just spent 5 days at 'Sunset in Paradise', and we had a wonderful experience!! It was the perfect location for a fun filled and relaxing vacation. We spent our days lying on the beach (very close public beach access), fishing off the private dock and enjoying the great local restaurants of Folly Beach. We would definitely stay at this beach house again in the future, and we highly recommend it to anyone!! Thank you for a great get-away!!
