We rented the home for two nights and throughly enjoyed the stay. I feel the house is an excellent rental for the rate charged. The living, dinning and kitchen area are a great size with lots of seating and very comfortable couches and dinning table. We slept 9 people very comfortably and could have fit 3 more people in the house still with room to spare. The walk to the beach is a short distance, taking the pathway over the dunes. If you are looking for a home to rent in this area I would recommend it!

I can't imagine how our "girls weekend" at Atlantic Beach could have possibly been any more comfortable than what this fabulous, spacious, beautifully decorated but WELCOMING home provided. From the yummy beds, to the sink-in-and-nap sofas to the gorgeous sunrise and sunset views, we were nested in the best place 8 "girls" could ever desire for a weekend away... and we could have added to our numbers and not felt any less privacy! We'll be back!

Family Reunion Aug 2011

We had an excellent stay at your beautiful home! It was absolutely perfect for hosting our family reunion. The open kitchen/dining/living space on the 3rd floor is ideal for gathering and hanging out, but you could still get away to a quiet place when you needed. Our favorite porch is the one overlooking the back of the house and out to the ocean - great for an early morning cup of coffee while the rest of the crew slept in. My kids (11 and 9) were thrilled with the 4th floor game/bedroom and bunk. Lots of kid-friendly games and toys. We also found a great supply of beach supplies in the garage! The beach was beautiful - nice sand, no crowds, shells...You thought of everything, and we talked often about making regular trips/reunions to this wonderful house. There was SO much to do in the area - we ran out of days long before we ran out of ideas!

Our time here felt more like a visit at the well-kept home of a close friend than a normal beach rental. We just enjoyed a wonderful Memorial Day weekend here with several of our friends. The house exceeded our expectations in every way - the decor, furnishings and location were fantastic, and there was plenty of room for everyone. The owner was extremely helpful in helping us finalize the details of our stay, which made things much easier upon arrival. The location is ideal for days on the beach and walks to dinner at Amos Mosquitos. We highly recommend it!

Amazing Rental Property

This house was perfect for our group and really made the weekend. We had a close friends wedding down in Atlantic Beach and so we rented this home with 5 other couples. The house was exactly what we were looking for, very spacious and close to the beach, The house was in very good condition, plenty of bathrooms and a nice kitchen to cook in. If we ever go back to Atlantic Beach we will definitely be staying at this home. Enjoy!

My family and I visited this home in late March for a deep sea fishing trip. The home was nothing less than spectacular with pleanty of room for everyone. There are plenty of things in this home to keep everyone happy from kids to grandparents and everything you would need is supplied! Best of all the home was only 4 minutes away from where most of the deep sea fishing boats are docked so it was very convenient even for early mornings. Mrs Duggins is also such a pleasure to work with. We will be back in the future!

The Dugg Inn was the perfect for my family consisting of three families plus me. Seven little ones and 1 teen. Everything we needed was there. The home is decorated beautifully, but very livable. It was a treat to have a space where 3-3yr. old boys could be comfortable and have fun. There was also space for each family to have its own alone space. We had a marvelous time.

Our stay in this charming home was perfect. We spent the weekend with 3 other families and we all had a wonderful time. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a family get together. Our third year staying at the Dug-inn was on par with the first two! The beach is beautiful, and then we retreat to our beautiful home away from home! The house is always impecably clean, and just a wonderfully relaxing getaway! We loved our day trip to Shackelford from the ferry in Beaufort, a great idea!! Our 25th anniversary dinner at the Blue Moon Bistro in Beaufort was spectacular, as well. We always look forward to next year in Atlantic Beach. We have truly found our vacation spot! Our stay at the Dug-Inn was fabulous! The house was the perfect size and arrangement for our multi-family vacation. Two kitchens really suited us well, everyone loved the porches, and the multi-level floor plan worked our great, even for our 89 year old grandmother. The walk to the beach was just right for us, though a little long for our littlest ones. We were all able to find lots of rest and relaxation here, and LOVED the soothing beach decor and color choices, and personal touches. Naps on the porch swings were a big hit! We had a fantastic time and plan to stay here the next time our families get together. Thanks for being so helpful with the planning and arrangements. What a great experience!

Great wedding weekend at an INCREDIBLE house

When my best friend decided to get married in Atlantic Beach, we thought what better way to catch up with friends than to get a beach house for all of us to stay in during the weekend!!! We decided to rent this house but had no idea how incredible it actually was until we saw it for ourselves!! This house was the perfect place to stay for a wedding weekend at the beach!!! We couldn't believe our eyes when we walked in. We all immediately got excited and thought this is going to be an awesome weekend!!! Very spacious, perfect rooms, lovely living room area, and the views from every room were amazing!! The balconies from the living area are the perfect spot to enjoy coffee or any meal. We had great weather while we were there so we definitely took advantage of eating outside on the balconies. Not to mention the location. Just a short walk to the beach and the reception which was held at the Dunes Club was within walking distance from the house. We all loved this house so much, we decided that we want to make it an annual thing to get together at the beach at this house!! Can't wait for next summer now!!

Cancelled Wedding Becomes Family Reunion

An October family wedding meant planning in July, and we decided to find a house and invite our son, his wife and our granddaughter to join us. Which we did. Unfortunately the wedding was called off, and with everyone now having time off, we agreed to simply go forward. And what a great experience it was! While mother nature turned down the thermostat, our spirits couldn't have been more refreshed. The house is charming, a perfect place for a family to hang out. More than enough bedrooms, plenty of "settin'" space and everything you'd find in your own home. The owners are easy to work with, informative and provided plenty of help in finding things to do, places to eat, and answering all questions. Have a great stay!!

This house is amazing. We had my husband's surprise retirement party in September with plenty of room for all! The house is beautifully decorated with all the amenities. We used this house for the wedding party during my daughter's wedding. It was so homelike and well furnished that we felt incredibly comfortable there. The Bridal luncheon was held for 25 ladies on the third floor with the breathtaking views of the ocean. There is no place that would have been more perfect for that event. Definitely a perfect beach house.

What a fabulous location for a Girls Weekend! The house is beautiful...love that Shabby Chic...and it has 3 ocean views. We were close to Beaufort and Moorehead City. We were able to get away from it all and still be connected with the cable TV, DVD player and wireless internet in the house. Can't wait to go back!

This place was fantastic! It was our first visit to Atlantic Beach and we loved it. It was laid out perfectly for separate families vacationing together. We loved the decorations. We felt like we stepped out of a Pottery Barn. It was beautiful. The third floor deck was my favorite. If I wasn't on the beach I stayed out there pretty much the whole time! Loved it!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this beautifully decorated and superbly comfortable house, located just a block from the beach. With plenty of bedrooms on several floors, everyone had his or her privacy and then gathered together on the main living floor or on one of the decks or screened in porches. We relished the ocean views and delightful breezes. The house was also very well suited to infants and children. We definitely plan on returning soon!

My wife and I stayed at this house with several family members and absolutely loved it. Everything was clean and felt very comfortable for the entire week. Enough space for everyone to have privacy, but a spacious living room for everyone to hang out. Very short walk to the beach, and a great town to take a family vacation or meet up with old friends. For 35 years we have hosted a family reunion in an oceanfront cottage at Holden Beach. Since we found this amazing 4-story gem, we have not gone back. I love the easy access to Fort Macon, great shelling (knowing when and where to look), good food, charter boats and the new aquarium. My wife loves the short drive to Beaufort. My daughter lives for the shelling and now has four large buckets completely filled with sand dollars, olive, auger, whelk and cockle shells. Our family of 19 especially likes how the house is decorated and subdivided so that we can all be together but not always in each other's space. The elevator provides extra convenience. The place is classy yet comfortable and the all-wood floors are unique for a beach house. We love it.

New construction, well appointed, ocean views, with a quick walk to the beach. Plenty of room to spread out a large family, two small ones, or several couples. Close to local favorite restaurants and the marina. National parks, Historic Military Forts, dunes, and shells abound. Great place to experience the outer banks for the first time.

We love this beach house so much, we've rented it every summer since it was built. It's spacious enough for multiple familes, well-decorated and maintained, comfortable, and fully stocked with lots of extras, so we don't have to pack up our house when we come. There's nothing like eating breakfast on the third floor deck and watching the sun rise over the water! And, Atlantic Beach is the perfect family destination with pristine beaches, perfect for shelling, swimming and castle-making, and the nearby towns are postcard perfect.

This beach house is a beautiful and comfortable vacation retreat. It was nice being close to Fort Macon and the Aquarium not only for the children but for the adults as well. We loved the views from the third floor...great place for an early morning cup of coffee or an early afternoon cocktail. We plan to visit again soon!
