Description of Guesthouse
This residence was built in one of the earliest settlements in Maine. We are located on the Main rd in Phippsburg. The house was constructed from two early 1800's farmhouses, one which was floated down the Kennebec river and then carted by oxen. The guesthouse is part of the original timber frame, which was then convertend into an appartment. The "guesthouse" is essentially an appartment attached to our primary residence. There is a private entrance at the front of the house with designated parking in the lower driveway. Upstairs there is one bedroom with a king, twin bed and the adjoining walkway has a fullsize pullout futon for additional sleeping. Downstairs there is a kitchen/living area with a full bath and storage closet. Outside there is an outdoor patio with kitchen/grill area and an adjoining kid's play area with swing, slide, sandbox and toddler pool. Additionally, 1 acre of land is fully fenced in to the height of approximately 3.5-4 feet for dogs to roam.

We had a great time in your sweet little guesthouse this week! We really enjoyed living in real local house in Maine. We liked that fact that we had a kitchen of our own and real bedrooms. And your outside kitchen... Wow!!! Thans alot! from- Quebec, Canada

Wow! What a great introduction to Maine! It was so nice to have a "home" here. Much better than a hotel. We came here for a friends wedding so we weren't on much of a tourist schedule but our hosts did invite us out to Reid State Park for a lovely brunch on the beach. We highly recommend it for a day at the ocean. We did need to run next door for some cheese, which we were granted even on an early Saturday morning! Thank you so much! We hope to have a reason to visit again soon. -from Bristol, TN

What a delightful, well appointed cottage! Beautiful grounds and wish we had the time to try out the outdoor kitchen. Very centrally located,so we could do most of what we had hoped. A high point was a visit to the Bowdoin Museums in Brunswick. The art museum was world class for such a small town, and the Arctic Museum with the discovery of the North Pole by Pery certainly was one of a kind. Enjoyed the waterfront dining a the Kennebec Tavern in Bath and Cooks Lobster House on Bailey Island. Thanks so much for everything! from- Denver, CO

Your guesthouse was perfect for us- well equipped, clean, nice large bathroom, easty to use outdoor gas grill, beautiful gardens. We were lucky to have two beautiful beach days- Popham Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches we've ever seen! You're so lucky to have it right down the road. The bike ride Jenna described for us and outlined on the map was beautiful- and we would have never found it on our own- "The Basin". Thank you so much for letting us borrow your bike- two was all be could load on our car. We took Scott's suggestion for dinner and went to the Lobster House lias night- and we were not disappointed. We ate the rest of our meals in the kitchen and had everything we needed. Many thanks for being such accomodating hosts. -from Wolfeboro, NH

Thanks to Jenna and Scott for their part in making our holiday so great! The cottage was great- everything we needed and the location was so convenient. Jenna and Scott have many great suggestions for trips and we really appreciated the use of the baby stuff- pack in play, baby back pack etc. We had a real mix of weather but it gave us an opportunity to go to the Maine Maritime Museum and do some exploring to Orr and Bailey Island- very nice. We are already looking foward to returning next year! Thanks again to our hosts for their generosity and helpfulness. from Ottowa ON, Canada

Thank you for such a delightful stay. We truly lucked out when we saw your vacancy sign. We all felt very safe here- I could run or bike ride in the morning and not worry about the girls. We instantly felt at home. Morse Mountain and the hike to the beach was worth the effort- great hike and great waves. We seemed to hit Popham Beach at the right times- not crowded. Anyways.... the girls and I had a wonderful time. Your grounds are relaxing and the patio enjoyable. Take care.

Thank you for the nice accomidations. We had a nice time. The king size bed was a nice treat! The location was great to get to many locations! We experienced a great game of golf with nice views of Sebasco. We also enjoyed a boat ride too. We recommend Popham Beach State Park- the change in the beach from low tide to high tide is amazing. Thanks! - from Loeminster, MASS.
