This lovely Cape Home has four LARGE bedrooms, two with queen sized beds on the first floor and a full size bathroom ( tub shower, toilet, sink-- both baths have new countertops) as well as two oversized bedrooms on the second floor witha queen size bed/sleep sofa in one and 2 twin beds in the other and a full bathroom between. Clean, spacious and comfortable this is a great vacation home for the family for a week.
The kitchen is applianced with a full size refrigerator, a glass cooktop stove, and a dishwasher, microwave, coffee pot, as well as all dishware, pots pans, utensils. The Kitchen has been newly updated,with tile floors and maple cabinetry and new dining set. The living room is outfitted with a comfortable sectional sofa/ loveseat, a TV , DVD, Cable. The eating area, with a large oval table and 6 chairs to facilitate family dining and an island with two counter stools in the kitchen for a quick lunch or snack. An outdoor deck off the kitchen/dining area enables additional dining options on the sectional outdoor furniture and coffee table .... perfect for sipping wine, and the patio set just below in a stone patio perfect for 6 to dine alfresco!!! Outdoor stainless grill completes the family vacation accomodations. There is a playground /tennis for that after dinner hour of fun just up the street at Rotary Park. Or drive to Watch Hill for an ice cream and carousel ride for the kids-- or Ocean House for adults.
The basement has a new washer and dryer facility for ease and convenience with a family or after the beach, even to pack clean clothes to go home.There is a playground and tennis courts less than 1/2 mile up the road. The rear yard is fenced for children to enjoy a safe environment. This property is central to the beaches, shopping, and the casino, child friendly and family comfortable. Enjoy dining in the many waterside restaurants in our area.
Watch Hill is only minutes away, follow Watch Hill Road to the village. Have breakfast at The Cooked Goose nearby Avondale, and take your bikes with the kids to Avondale circle to ride in the safety and beauty of a preserved land trust area. Small parking areas are accessible. Watch Hiill 2.3 miles to Bay St. center. walking not recommended.
Make your dinner reservations at the Ocean House or have cocktails on the deck while viewing the sunset. The Historic and beautiful Ocean House offers spa, beach dining entertainment. Contact OH for more information. Downtown village parking is available at Watch Hill Lots, -- Holdriges, and a short walk to beaches or the Carousel beach. Have the children ride the Historic 1800 Watch Hill Flying Horses, and eat ice cream at St. Clares Annex -- homemade and the freshest !!! A relaxing family vacation with entertainment for everyone. The town ran a trolly last year for beaches, and shopping.

We are a family of six and this home accomodated us easily. The fenced back yard was convenient to keep an eye on the kids, and a really nice playground just up the street was sooooo convenient. We planned our visit again this year because it was such a great location central to Watch Hill, Misquamicut and Westerly shopping. Great spot. Why the Owner Chose Watch Hill:
This is a prime location easy access to highways, shopping and multiple beaches. The home is large and can easily and does accomodate large HOLIDAY families.Weekapaug, Misquamicut and WATCH HILL are just 3-4 minutes away, if that. The Ocean House is teriffic for so many events and now family dinners, Thanksgiving,Christmas, etc. It is wonderful to be so close, but yet have space and distance from immediate family, its always nice to visit, but we all need to escape sometimes.....With children its easier to have your own space.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The property is situated across the street from Maxtuxet Brook and the Brook Parkway, a land trust property and there is a fountain which sprays at night, and is lit up, as well as views of the Pawcatuck River, nearby. It is close enough to the airport for access to flights to Block Island and also Rte. 1 for necessary shopping. This home has a fenced back yard which allows supervised play for children. playground access is close by as well as entertainment, like carousel in summer and boating etc. Easy drive to Mystic, Mystic Aquarium, Mystic Village, or Mystic Seaport, Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun Casino's, or a short flight or drive to catch Block Island Ferry for a day trip, or a day trip to Newport for tours of Mansions and Tennis Hall of Fame luncheon. So much to do as well as fun in the sun at our lovely beaches.
