It has everything to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable at an AFFORDABLE price!

You will find that this gold rated 4 bedroom, 4 bath vacation home is ideal for your family vacation to Bethany Beach! The house sleeps 12, so it easily accommodates two families. The downstairs finished basement is a self-contained area, perfect for the kids, or another family. The basement has its own full bath, a bedroom with two twin beds, a foosball table and a bumper pool table, an area to watch TV, and also two "fold-up" twin beds. Upstairs are two master suites, each with their own full baths. One bedroom has a king bed and the other has a queen. The upstairs and main level bedrooms also each have their own TVs. The living area on the main floor also has a TV and queen sofa bed. Outside you can sit and enjoy the back patio. A single car garage and driveway provide off-street parking directly behind the house, in addition to "as available" parking in front of the house, and in a large parking lot behind the garage.

Year Purchased: 2004

Why the Owner Chose Other Bethany Beach Properties

We love Bethany Beach and this home allows us to share it with our family, friends, and guests.

Bethany Beach is so close to many metro areas - only 2 hours from Philly, 3 from Baltimore and Washington, and about 4-5 from New Jersey/New York. It is a really nice little beach town, and is aptly named "the Quiet Resort." It has a modest main street and boardwalk, with lots of shops and restaurants. A new miniature golf course was added a couple years ago.

A short drive north up the coastal highway will take you to the surfers and fishermen by the Indian River inlet. Continuing north is the beautiful Delaware Seashore State Park and the always hopping Dewey Beach with plenty of night life. A couple miles farther is outlet shopping and fine dining in Rehoboth, along with Jungle Jim's Water Park for the kids. Also in Rehoboth is Kid's Cottage, with drop-in babysitting on the weekends if mom and dad need that night out alone. A little farther north still is historic Lewes and the majestic Cape Henlopen State Park

To the south is another wonderful Delaware state park, Fenwick Island State Park. A little farther south is Ocean City, Maryland, with its famous boardwalk, restaurants for every taste and budget, tons of miniature golf, Jolly Roger Amusement and Water Park, and even ice skating at the Carousel Hotel. In both directions are movie theaters, boating, fishing, kayaking, windsurfing, kite boarding, para-sailing, hiking, and biking.

The Unique Benefits at this Townhome

The Village at Bear Trap Dunes is truly one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in the area, featuring tree lined streets with sidewalks, and traditional architecture. It's one of the those All-American neighborhoods you might have grown up in, only it's at the beach. The community's top notch amenities include indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center, Har-Tru tennis courts, and a seasonal beach shuttle.

In addition to being a great spot for your visit to the beach, our home is ideal for a golf outing, or for the tennis enthusiast. Bear Trap Dunes is a 27 hole, world-class golf course and you are just steps from the golf clubhouse. Within a 1/2 hour drive there are more than a dozen other great courses. And in addition to the community tennis courts, one of the country's top rated tennis resorts - at Sea Colony - is only 2 miles away.

B
DiFebo's Restaurant

When just the two of us go out, this is our favorite place.

C
Blue Coast

Excellent seafood and great views.

D
Fenwick Island State Park

One of several local state parks with beautiful beaches.

E
Grotto's Pizza

Good pizza and good place with the kids. Has a video arcade too

F
Northeast Seafood Kitchen

Another great seafood place. Run by the same folks as Blue Coast

G
Steakhouse 26

Steaks and more. And our family is on their commercial!

H
Fat Tuna

All kinds of fare. Good place with the kids.

I
The Bistro.

Just steps from the house. It's run now by the DiFebo's, and as mentioned they are one of the best

J
Bethany Blues and Beach Shuttle Stop

Bethany Blues has good barbeque and is a good place for families. The Bear Trap Beach Shuttle's drop off and pick up spot is right by there too, at the corner of Garfield Parkway and Pennsylvania Ave

K
Delaware Seashore State Park

One of several local state parks with beautiful beaches.

L
Captain Jack's Minature Golf

Right in "downtown" Bethany Beach

M
Dewey Beach

If you're looking for some fun night life, this might be your place. Rusty Rudder is a little more "mature" crowd. The Bottle and Cork bills themselves as "the world's greatest rock 'n' roll bar" - g

N
Big Fish Grill

Great food, and another place we like to go with the kids.

O
Rehoboth Beach

Another nice boardwalk and some really great dining. We like the Cultured Pearl (sushi), the Back Porch, La La Land, Stoney Lonen, and Dos Locos

P
Jungle Jim's Water Park

Great little water park for an enjoyable day with the kids

Q
Ocean City Maryland

It's truly a city by the ocean. Very crowded but lots to do. Restaurants, miniature golf, small amusement/water parks, and even ice skating. At the south end of town is the boardwalk.

R
The Grove Restaurant

If you want truly gourmet dining in a hole-in the-wall kind of place, then treat yourself to The Grove. Reservations required and bring cash only. And DON'T tell them we sent you!

Owner's Map of Other Bethany Beach Properties

We moved to the area nearly eleven years ago and currently live in Bethany Beach. Our children were born here, and we really did grow up here too, as our families have been coming to the Delaware and Maryland seashores in the summer since we were children.

Bethany Beach has that small town feel, where you wave to your neighbor as you pass them on the road. It's free of all the huge crowds and bustle of some of the other local beach towns. We really enjoy living in Bethany and all the area has to offer. In the summer we go the beach as often as possible, and in the evenings we like going into town to the boardwalk. We play on the beach, listen to whoever is at the bandstand, and go get ice cream. The off-season is even more peaceful, and some of the best beach days can be in September and October.

We think Bethany Beach is the best, and hope you will think so too.

A pleasant stay in Bear Trap Dunes!

This townhouse was very clean and convenient to al the amenities Bear Trap has to offer. The beds were comfortable and having the linens and towels included was an added surprise. Parking was never a problem and the game room down stairs was perfect for adults and kids alike. We will definitely be returning to this beautiful townhouse next summer.

Wonderful location

We've been staying here the past two years and are really pleased with the location and value of the rental. The location is really a two minute walk to the club house or shuttle bus. And even if you're to drive to Bethany Beach it's only three miles. Adding wireless internet this year was a great feature, too. We comfortably slept 8 people. Love staying there!

Clean and Spacious home

Guest: Glyn (New Jersey)
Date of Stay: 07/03/10 Review Submitted: 07/11/10

We had an excellent stay. We felt welcome from the first day with the personal touch of fresh flowers. Rooms are spacious. Our friends who stayed were in the queen bed found the mattress not to be true to size. They had to put their child to sleep on the floor. Also we would have liked an additional designated parking in front of the house. Being so close to the golf course the spots are taken and it makes it difficult especially when you have kids to park away from the home. Otherwise everything was clean and well maintained so would definitely suggest to our friends.

Owner response:The bed mentioned is 60 X 80, which is the true size of a standard queen bed. Some "expanded" queen beds can be up to 6 inches wider, but this is not that kind of bed and was not listed as one. A designated parking spot in front of the house would be nice, but they are only 'as available' and that is described in the listing. There are two designated spots which are right in back, not away from the house, and they are also described in the listing.

Beautiful and homey

Guest: BLONDIE (West Miffllin, PA)
Date of Stay: 06/26/10 Review Submitted: 07/07/10

Stayed at this town house from June 26th to July 3rd. Everything about the place is great. It is spotless. The owner makes you feel at home. They even had fresh flowers and a note for us. They have a binder that gives suggestions on restaurants, etc. The property is so well maintained that you would never think it was a rental. Michael and Stephanie were very helpful and accommodating. Our family consisted of 6 adults and 4 children (1 1/2, 4, 5 and 7). The house was large enough that we never felt crowded. The pool area was great for our kids. They liked the pool better than the ocean. There is a shuttle to the beach but we drove there every morning and then came back to the pool for the afternoon. Betheny Beach Boardwalk is smaller than Ocean City so it is not as kid friendly. For the adults I would suggest the Ferry into Cape May. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone.
